## What is Starry Soft Filter?

Starry Soft Filter is a photo-editing app that adds a natural glow inspired by optical soft filters to nightscapes, Milky Way photos, and constellation images.

Instead of uniformly blurring the entire photo, the app analyzes star brightness, local contrast, and apparent star size. Brighter and larger stars receive a more visible diffusion effect while the app aims to preserve star centers, colors, dark skies, and the detail of foreground scenery.

Main features
• Import photos from Photo Library or Files
• Soft-filter processing based on star brightness and apparent size
• Automatic star-size estimation
• Compare the original and filtered images
• Pinch to zoom and drag to inspect details
• Save the processed result as a JPEG
• Save as a separate photo without overwriting the original
• On-device image processing
• English and Japanese interfaces

Free
• Import JPEG and HEIF/HEIC photos
• Apply the standard soft-filter effect
• Save images with a maximum long edge of 2,048 pixels

Pro — One-Time Purchase
• Adjust Filter Strength from 0 to 500
• Adjust Star-Size response from 0.5 to 2.0
• Import supported Apple ProRAW and DNG/RAW files
• Save at the original pixel dimensions

Pro is a one-time purchase with no expiration. It is not a subscription.

Processed images are saved as new JPEG files. The original photo is never overwritten, modified, or deleted.

The app aims to produce a natural appearance inspired by optical soft filters, but it does not guarantee an exact match to any specific physical filter product.
