### 2/5 — Longer star trails?

*2024-12-01*

I like the app, but want longer star trails. Like hours. Is that possible?

**Developer response:** > I like the app, but want longer star trails. Like hours. Is that possible?

Paid version has up to 3600 seconds SS on star trails mode.

### 3/5 — Purchased version not working

*2023-09-15*

Great app. I used the free version to capture aurora on my iPhone 14 max pro. I decided to upgrade to the pro version but, no matter what I do, it won’t work. It just keeps running the promotional video and gives me none of the options to adjust settings.

Why didn't you write this to the review of 'StarryCamera Pro'?
What is 'the promotional video' ? The app doesn't have that.
Are you confusing it with another app?

### 3/5 — Nice software, but focus is soft

*2022-02-07*

I just installed this app on my iPhone 13 Pro. Results are nice, but focus is soft. Even at 3 seconds, stars are not sharp. Look like tiny bloated blobs. I don’t see a setting to check focus, so assume focus control is set by default.

### 4/5 — Please add “timer”

*2021-07-21*

I have been looking for software with this feature for a long time, thank you for this software

But I have a suggestion for you, since sometimes we do not have a tripod with us, it is better to add “timer” feature to the program, so that after pressing the photography button, there is at least a chance to lean the phone somewhere or place it on a flat surface in order to Keep the camera steady when shooting at a slow shutter speed,
The second reason to add this feature is that, if you touch the image capture button, it will certainly cause the phone to move and the image may be recorded with a high noise level.

Thank you for your review.
But I don't understand what you mean. This app always use 3 seconds timer.

### 4/5 — Alright

*2021-04-06*

It’s pretty good, I got to take a decent photo of the orion nebula with this app, although it came out quite small. Reason being that it didn’t have a zooming feature, I wish there was a feature where you could zoom in the camera as that would make it a lot easier to take photos, but either than that it’s good enough for Amateur astrophotography with a phone :)

### 4/5 — UUH HELP

*2021-01-04*

I have found that one when my image finished exposure it came blurry I know star trailing but when it was actually taking the pictures it wasn’t as blurry

**Developer response:** > I have found that one when my image finished exposure it came blurry I know star trailing but when it was actually taking the pictures it wasn’t as blurry

This app process the image so that the stars stand out after taking the pictures.

### 4/5 — Good App

*2020-08-28*

I’m loving the app, but just like the previous review, right before finishing the photo, the app automaticaly blurs it, reducing the quality and details. Otherwise, it’s a nice and easy to use app!

### 3/5 — Cool idea but it cheats

*2020-07-18*

I like the option to take really long exposure shots and I love seeing the picture develop while taking the picture - that’s really nice.

However, it looks like the app adds fake stars to the picture. If you take a picture in a closed box you will see stars in there too... I would prefer the app to only show what is really there with no special effects.

**Developer response:** Try to google about 'dark noise'

### 5/5 — Work like magic

*2020-06-08*

This app work like a magic. This app must deserve 5 star because its free and magical

### 5/5 — Really good app

*2020-05-19*

I started stargazing with it, thank you it’s amazing, simple and efficient!

### 1/5 — Shame on this company.

*2023-12-17*

How dare you imprint fake stars on my photos!

**Developer response:** > How dare you imprint fake stars on my photos!

How would you like to look into about 'dark noise'?

### 1/5 — Awful!!!! 😡😡

*2022-06-20*

So when I saw this app was free, I was looking at the photos to see if the quality was good. The photos looked great! (Prob because they were photoshopped or something) Anyway, so then I downloaded it and when it was done I was so excited to try it out! It took 30 minutes to load but I thought maybe they take a while and I started to get more excited! But when I got in I was disappointed. It was laggy and I took a photo, it looked pixelated and the “stars” where white blurry blobs. You could barely even see the stars in the photo. And it was a clear night!!!! Hate this app and will hope that you never fall for the trick… 😡

### 1/5 — 🤦🏻‍♂️

*2022-03-25*

This is an awful thing to do. What does a scientific software have to do with the Ukraine war?!

### 1/5 — Image are not better

*2021-08-09*

Try a google pixel 4xl if you want nice star pictures

### 1/5 — Unsure

*2021-05-24*

Took a pic on a cloudy, rainy night just to see what happened. Stars appeared. Hmmmm.

### 1/5 — Could be great idk

*2021-03-04*

I’ve reinstalled redownloaded but once app opens it shows image then goes blank white.

### 1/5 — Rubbish app

*2020-11-27*

Have allowed app access to my photo album but app tells me it can’t access photo album. Rubbish app

### 1/5 — Total waste

*2020-11-15*

Waste of time

### 1/5 — Faake

*2020-09-17*

Fake app, fake stars, sleazy creator. That’s all.

### 1/5 — Do not even bother

*2020-05-19*

What a waste

## Most praised reviews (10 highest-rated)

### 5/5 — Best app so far

*2022-04-03*

The reason I give this app a 5 star is because I’ve never found an app that could take good pictures of the night sky. Most of them don’t really do as they say and I downloaded this app and was mind blown on how nice the pictures are. I’m definitely enjoying it a lot would be nice to have some sort of zooming feature on it that would be awesome. But overall a very great app.

### 5/5 — Impressive

*2022-01-21*

Takes a decent shot that requires iPhone editing and have a decent picture

### 5/5 — Amazing

*2021-10-12*

It works real good but you need a tripod, use this for northern lights took good pics it’s easy and simple I recommended this if you want to take pictures of the night

### 5/5 — Best night sky camera I’ve seen on phone

*2021-08-06*

Great camera for Stars, constellations, meteorites, satellites. Moon etc is too bright but this is best I’ve found for things like stars and constellations... easy to tell the constellation shapes

### 5/5 — Perfect for stars

*2021-07-27*

If you are a astrophotography then this is for u. Just point it at the night sky (not from a window) and then you get a perfect shot of a bunch of stars. Might be able to see the Milky Way but I haven’t captured the Milky Way on this camera yet.

### 5/5 — Absolutely Fabtastic

*2021-04-09*

This app is the best one I’ve ever tried. I was downloading like 5 free apps(all that I could find) when trying to find an app to take good photos of the pitch black starry night sky. This was by far the best. The other apps could not pick up and any of the stars and just came out as black, where this app made almost completely clear photos of the night sky. Best app ever. 5/5

### 5/5 — Doesn’t add extra layer of stars

*2021-03-11, version 1.93*

I tried it, under my bed, and the brighter parts of the image were just sharper and the darker spots were just blurrier. This is not an extra layer of stars, just a noise reducing strategy. Today, I also took images of the big dipper and the images were fabulous!

### 5/5 — Works like magic!

*2021-03-11*

Aplicativo muito bom, funciona de verdade, ótimo para mim que não possuo um iPhone com modo noturno, consegui tirar lindas fotos das estrelas com meu iPhone XR

### 5/5 — Very nice

*2020-11-05*

I wish you could zoom in or get more longer shutters it is the best but I’ve found though nice job 👍

### 5/5 — Good App Works Well

*2020-07-18*

Downloaded and used for the first time for pictures of the Neowise comet last night. Got some nice shots. You must ensure phone is perfectly still when taking the picture, recommend a stand or leaning the phone on something solid (do not hold).
