## What is Stash Star Fabric?

Stash Star Fabric helps you organize and track your collection of fabric. When you’re shopping, know which fabrics you already own and how much. Don’t pull out your heavy boxes of fabric when you start your next project—let Stash Star Fabric help you plan.

Flexible!

Save as much or as little information as you choose. Take a picture of the fabric, then record the fabric name and its primary colors. Enter details about the fabric, such as the pattern size, fabric content, fabric type, designer name, and more. Want to know how much of the fabric you have? You can save the width (or cut) of the fabric and its length in yards or meters.

Additionally, you can record where and when you purchased the fabric, the price you paid, and where you’re currently storing it. If you want to enter more information, there is a special notes field specifically for that purpose. Or add your own custom attributes.

Powerful!

You can view all your fabrics on a single scrollable page. For ease in organization, you can group your fabrics by many of the attributes you enter, such as, color, width (or cut), length, fabric content, fabric type, designer, and more. You can also filter and search your fabric collection, to help you quickly find the exact fabric you’re looking for.

Configurable!

Stash Star Fabric is pre-configured with lists of the most common fabric types, fabric content, colors, and more. But you can customize the lists to add or remove items to tailor them specifically for your personal fabric collection. You can also customize the lists to show just your favorite items; the complete list is always just a click away!

Stash Star Fabric was designed to be easy to use from the moment you start using it. No steep learning curve here! Additionally, help is available throughout the app to assist you in getting the most out of Stash Star Fabric.

I started using this app on my iPhone and now I am using it on my iPad as well. I LOVE the layout and the info I can put in each entry! It is easy to use & just a screen click away. 
I was ecstatic for the option to ditch the ads!!! The option for a multi-variable report with all information is GREAT! 
Did I mention, I LOVE THIS APP! 
Now I REALLY look forward to the ability to backup my fabric stash database and ability to import and sync between MacOS and iOS devices! Please?

**Developer response:** Thank you for the positive review! The latest version of Stash Star Fabric has an in-app purchase option to turn off advertisements. We’ve received a number of requests to use iCloud to share fabrics between iPhones and iPads. We’ve recently posted information about this feature on our Facebook page. There’s no easy option for transferring my saved fabrics on my iPhone to the app on my iPad. It will only let me save it in documents or files. I’m going to have to go through one by one and redo it. What a hassle. I appreciate that it’s a free app and I don’t have to pay to store my info but if there’s a way you can help with this I’d appreciate that. I may even recommend this to my friends but I can’t at this time. That’s a negative point in my opinion.

This app is great for cataloguing info your fabrics and trims with all pertinent info…..the problem is, when you get anew device there is no way to transfer to your Stash Star app on new device , your previous saved collection of fabrics. It has a choice to export but you cannot through that method on your iPad transfer it into the fabric stash app on your new device you can only export to a handful of locations such as books, notes, Evernote’s . What the best fix for this app company to do is , make the customer happy by offering a way to transfer items on app located on their original device to their app located on their new device so the customer can have their complete collection on one device in one location …. their fabric stash app. PLEASE FIX THIS PROBLEM🙏🏻

**Developer response:** You should be able to transfer the data for all your apps, including Stash Star Fabric, from your old iPad to your new iPad when setting up your new iPad. Contact Apple support or look for “Transfer data from your previous iOS or iPadOS device to your new iPhone or iPad” on Apple’s website for instructions.

I gave it 4 because, as a new user it would be nice it there was more info on savings each fabric and finding it.   I went thru all filters an have them on.  Very cool. Then I tried adding a fabric… 5 times, I tried and at the end even hit the star button and done.   Once it goes away.  Bye bye!  The help button is short, but I read it and I did everything it said.  Please how do I save the fabric and find it again.  Ty

So far I am liking this app, I do have a problem with the dimensions section. While the width is great, the length leaves a LOT to be desired. I do not understand how I am supposed to enter my width when I am unable to use a decimal or enter in my inches. I like the keypad, but let me enter my own measurements. After I have entered my measurements, give us the option to see either the decimal or the fraction or the inches or all while looking at our list of stash. I prefer the yards and inches when looking at how much fabric I have, because that is the way you purchase it.

I don’t care for the way that I have to edit everything so that I know how much of what I have or what the color actually is…..

I have been using this app for years and I have loved it. I unfortunately lost my business because of covid so I haven’t been on the app in probably 1year+. I got on just now and EVERYTHING IS GONE!!! This app is how I kept track of how much I paid for my fabrics and now I need to sell everything but don’t know how much I paid originally. Please can someone contact me? Only doing 1 star to get supports attention. I will fix once someone contacts me. Thank you

I have been using this app for over a year now, and I can’t say enough about it. It is very flexible, and very editable, so you can customize it to your personal needs. I love how you canTake multiple pictures of your fabric, so if you have a jelly roll or any other pre-cut, you can add more than one picture. I love how you can categorize and search by different areas, such as color, manufacture, size, etc. This is a must for someone who stores a lot of fabric, such as a quilter or seamstress.

I already know I’m going to love SSFabric based on my use of SSProject.  Great easy to use organizer. The only wish is that the app would update between devices.  I have the project app on both my phone and iPad but they do not sync together.
