### 4/5 — Best one I have found yet!

*2023-04-05*

I started using this app on my iPhone and now I am using it on my iPad as well. I LOVE the layout and the info I can put in each entry! It is easy to use & just a screen click away.
I was ecstatic for the option to ditch the ads!!! The option for a multi-variable report with all information is GREAT!
Did I mention, I LOVE THIS APP!
Now I REALLY look forward to the ability to backup my fabric stash database and ability to import and sync between MacOS and iOS devices! Please?

**Developer response:** Thank you for the positive review! The latest version of Stash Star Fabric has an in-app purchase option to turn off advertisements. We’ve received a number of requests to use iCloud to share fabrics between iPhones and iPads. We’ve recently posted information about this feature on our Facebook page. Please visit us on Facebook (search for Stash Star Fabric) to read about the status of this feature.

### 4/5 — Could be a great app!

*2022-07-20, version 6.1.1*

I gave it 4 because, as a new user it would be nice it there was more info on savings each fabric and finding it. I went thru all filters an have them on. Very cool. Then I tried adding a fabric… 5 times, I tried and at the end even hit the star button and done. Once it goes away. Bye bye! The help button is short, but I read it and I did everything it said. Please how do I save the fabric and find it again. Ty

**Developer response:** Please send us a message on our Facebook page (look for Stash Star Fabric). We’d be happy to answer any questions you have about using the app.

### 4/5 — Stash

*2021-10-01, version 6.1.1*

I really like this app but I would love it even more if I could have the option to have a way to set a grouping of Projects. I could then keep track of which fabrics I am using in which project and have a reference fir shipping.

### 3/5 — Linking iPhone with iPad

*2021-03-14, version 6.1.1*

I would like to be able to transfer my data from my iPhone to my iPad. I have only been able to export to files or print. I have over 150 entries an sure do not want to renter them all over onto my iPad. Hope there is a solution.

### 3/5 — Great app for cataloging fabrics

*2021-01-25, version 6.1.1*

The app is easy to use and can store all needed and information. You can share your collection but you cannot import a collection. This is a huge problem when using the app in a group and fabric is shared. If this is added to the app it would get ten stars.

### 4/5 — So far so good

*2020-11-13, version 6.1.1*

I like this thus far. I am a perfectionist and the pictures are whatever orientation you set and can’t resize in app. Overall this is very useful to keep track of my entire collection. I only have a four because I’m new to it and haven’t had enough time to find bugs.

### 4/5 — Review

*2020-11-04, version 6.1.1*

I wish it would not glitch so much, other than that, I love that I can keep track of my fabrics. I know where I put the fabric and don’t have to look through all my bins, just to find what I need. I wish I could upgrade the app.

### 3/5 — Handy, but complicated to manage

*2020-10-27, version 6.1.1*

I finally figured out how to work through the app and thought I wanted the attribute “Color” in a different location. What I actually did was deleted the entire attribute, all colors loaded by the app creator and those I added.

No where allows me to restore, so be very careful when customizing.

### 3/5 — Mostly great

*2020-09-20, version 6.1.1*

This app is pretty good, but I have a few problems that bother me.

1) No place for a link - it would be nice to be able to browse/link to a website or page. It would be helpful for sources, patterns/projects with which you’d like to use it, coordinating fabrics, etc.
2) Needs a color wheel - the colors are too restricting. Color needs to be precise when matching fabrics, so choosing the actual color and not a color from a pre-chosen set is rather important to me.
3) No way to edit photos - for some reason, photos taken from within the app are darker than through the camera alone. We need to be able to adjust the photo, at least to adjust brightness and contrast. Again, color is so important.
4) Only 3 Sub-catergories per category.

And a crazy suggestion: a way to measure from within the app. It’s so easy to do with smartphones, integrated within the app, as part of the width/length category, so that it’s easier and quicker to update what you have left.

### 4/5 — Landscape mode would make this 5 stars

*2020-07-31, version 6.1.1*

I love the app. I have been purchasing fabric scraps by the pound and cataloging them, to export for friends to order masks from... I love that the app exports to html... I wish if you clicked on the image it would make the fabric sample bigger. My reason for 4 stars instead of 5 is the app opens only in portrait mode. On an ipad, it’s kind of hard to wrangle. Otherwise, this is an excellent app!

### 4/5 — Almost Perfect

*2020-06-02, version 6.1.1*

I love almost all of this app. I wish instead of just the color family there was a space for the color name.

### 4/5 — A couple things that would make this perfect

*2020-05-20, version 6.1.1*

1. I would love to add on my iPad or phone and see it on both devices. That way if you see a pattern you like while shopping, you can see it from your phone if you don’t always carry your tablet.

2. Add an “other” feature in width and length/count so you can put in exact measurements of what you have. Not every pice can classify as a “scrap” but it’s just a shade larger than a traditional measurement. It would be nice if you could put in multiple lengths/widths in if the fabric is the same.

Other than that, it’s an amazing app!

**Developer response:** Thank you for the positive review. You can add new widths to Stash Star Fabric by tapping “Edit” and then “+” on the screen where you select a width.

Or if you prefer to enter an exact width for your fabrics, you can add an attribute to do that. When viewing any fabric tap the tools (wrench) button, tap “Attributes” from the menu, then tap “+” to add a new “Exact width” (or “Exact measurement”) attribute.

Please contact us on our Facebook page if you have any questions. We’d be glad to help you out.

### 3/5 — Sync between multiple devices

*2019-11-12, version 6.1.1*

How do I get the Fabric Stash app on my iPad to sync with my iPhone ?????

### 4/5 — Question

*2019-10-22, version 6.1.1*

I enjoy the app. How do I ask you a question without posting it under this review?

### 4/5 — Very useful

*2019-06-27, version 6.1.1*

I really like this app. And it comes in very handy. I suppose the fabric store would rather I didn’t have it, because now I don’t buy without checking to see what I already have! It has been such a help to keep my sewing room organized.
I like the camera or library option, and all the information one can add.
A couple of things would make it a bit easier to use: an option to keep yards or metric as a default. Auto save. A better variety of colors instead of Neon brights.
For example: grey, a true brown, cream, soft pastels. It wouldn’t have to be a whole lot!

### 4/5 — Love it..but

*2019-05-17, version 6.1.1*

I love the app and have been using it to track my stash as I organize it onto comic book boards. I would give it 5 stars if it would include the yardage when you were looking at the picture on the main page instead of having to open the listing for a fabric.

### 1/5 — Support?

*2022-02-05, version 6.1.1*

I have been using this app for years and I have loved it. I unfortunately lost my business because of covid so I haven’t been on the app in probably 1year+. I got on just now and EVERYTHING IS GONE!!! This app is how I kept track of how much I paid for my fabrics and now I need to sell everything but don’t know how much I paid originally. Please can someone contact me? Only doing 1 star to get supports attention. I will fix once someone contacts me. Thank you

### 1/5 — fabric

*2020-06-18, version 6.1.1*

confusing

### 1/5 — Not user friendly

*2019-05-15, version 6.1.1*

Hard to use

### 1/5 — Improve app already

*2018-10-03, version 6.0*

This would be the best app ever if it were to backup to iCloud and be available across all apple devices. I know you have stated apple development issues but that’s been 3 years now. I would gladly pay for an upgrade if it would backup to iCloud. Please upgrade!!!!

### 1/5 — Frustrating and limited

*2018-07-26, version 5.0*

I have a large inventory of fabric and loved the idea of organizing it with an App. It was a huge disappointment to find that after I downloaded, or used the App camera, entered the logging information, and pressed “done”, the fabric and related info could not be found anywhere.
The App is sporadic in saving/logging info.
The App is limited to how many picture entries can be stored. The most I could Store was 28.
I could not find any way to group my fabrics together as quilting projects.
I do not recommend this App. Takes too much time for unpredictable results and too limited on storage.

**Developer response:** Sorry you had problems using Stash Star Fabric. Please contact us on our Facebook page. We'd like to get more information so we can work to resolve the problems you encountered.

### 2/5 — Needs an update

*2023-03-22*

There’s no easy option for transferring my saved fabrics on my iPhone to the app on my iPad. It will only let me save it in documents or files. I’m going to have to go through one by one and redo it. What a hassle. I appreciate that it’s a free app and I don’t have to pay to store my info but if there’s a way you can help with this I’d appreciate that. I may even recommend this to my friends but I can’t at this time. That’s a negative point in my opinion.

### 2/5 — App has a major design flaw

*2022-11-14, version 6.1.1*

This app is great for cataloguing info your fabrics and trims with all pertinent info…..the problem is, when you get anew device there is no way to transfer to your Stash Star app on new device , your previous saved collection of fabrics. It has a choice to export but you cannot through that method on your iPad transfer it into the fabric stash app on your new device you can only export to a handful of locations such as books, notes, Evernote’s . What the best fix for this app company to do is , make the customer happy by offering a way to transfer items on app located on their original device to their app located on their new device so the customer can have their complete collection on one device in one location …. their fabric stash app. PLEASE FIX THIS PROBLEM🙏🏻

**Developer response:** You should be able to transfer the data for all your apps, including Stash Star Fabric, from your old iPad to your new iPad when setting up your new iPad. Contact Apple support or look for “Transfer data from your previous iOS or iPadOS device to your new iPhone or iPad” on Apple’s website for instructions.

If you have already set up your new iPad, or if the above option doesn’t work for you for some reason, send us a message on Facebook (look for Stash Star Fabric) and we will try help you out.

### 2/5 — Good app but...

*2018-12-03, version 6.1*

I can’t sync across my devices... that doesn’t do me much good. Please add that feature

### 2/5 — Limited

*2017-08-26, version 4.0*

Can't choose more than 3 colors for a fabric swatch. Can't create your own groups or categories. I have way more fabric than this app can handle. Also, can't view my fabric on multiple devices.

### 3/5 — Dimensions and editing

*2022-07-16, version 6.1.1*

So far I am liking this app, I do have a problem with the dimensions section. While the width is great, the length leaves a LOT to be desired. I do not understand how I am supposed to enter my width when I am unable to use a decimal or enter in my inches. I like the keypad, but let me enter my own measurements. After I have entered my measurements, give us the option to see either the decimal or the fraction or the inches or all while looking at our list of stash. I prefer the yards and inches when looking at how much fabric I have, because that is the way you purchase it.

I don’t care for the way that I have to edit everything so that I know how much of what I have or what the color actually is…..

## Most praised reviews (10 highest-rated)

### 5/5 — Love this App

*2022-01-12, version 6.1.1*

I have been using this app for over a year now, and I can’t say enough about it. It is very flexible, and very editable, so you can customize it to your personal needs. I love how you canTake multiple pictures of your fabric, so if you have a jelly roll or any other pre-cut, you can add more than one picture. I love how you can categorize and search by different areas, such as color, manufacture, size, etc. This is a must for someone who stores a lot of fabric, such as a quilter or seamstress.

### 5/5 — Stash Star Fabric and Project

*2022-01-07, version 6.1.1*

I already know I’m going to love SSFabric based on my use of SSProject. Great easy to use organizer. The only wish is that the app would update between devices. I have the project app on both my phone and iPad but they do not sync together.

### 5/5 — Fabric stash

*2021-08-10, version 6.1.1*

Love this having pics of fabrics so you can design on screen

### 5/5 — Good app

*2021-05-10, version 6.1.1*

I really like this app. I sincerely hope you keep updating it. I like that I can make it my own by adding and removing attributes and features. I’ve spent so much time putting all my fabrics in that I get worried that it will go by way of so many of my favorites and no longer be supported. Thank you for all your hard work.

### 5/5 — Fabric Collectors Dream

*2021-04-25, version 6.1.1*

Absolutely love this app. Perfect for someone like me who has a large collection of fabric (1000+). Love the export feature. Only thing I could say that would make this better would be an import feature or a sign in feature that would allow me to have on more than one device. Love that it doesn’t force me to keep the pictures on my phone.

### 5/5 — Fantastic way to remember your fabrics.

*2021-01-18, version 6.1.1*

If you laugh at your fabric stash and don’t use it due to the difficulty in finding what you have, this is the app for you.

### 5/5 — Great app!

*2020-05-24, version 6.1.1*

I love this app! It’s been so helpful. It keeps me organized and stopped the digging through multiple boxes to find the fabric I want to use.

Is there a similar one for patterns?

### 5/5 — It’s easy to keep track of my stash

*2020-01-18, version 6.1.1*

I like the way you can filter your stash by color or whatever category you need.

### 5/5 — 5 Star App for Fabriholics

*2018-09-06, version 6.0*

I write few reviews, but felt the need to write one for this app. It’s perfect for my needs. Love the export option that lets you pick only the items you want to export. Great sort and search. The ads don’t bother me but I’m paying to remove them anyway to support this app. Keep up the great work!

### 5/5 — Love this app!!

*2018-08-29, version 6.0*

This is exactly what I have been looking for. I don’t have space to store my fabrics where they are easy to peruse. With this app, I can browse my fabrics without having to dig through a giant box every time.
I love being able to add tags to the fabrics so I know why I got them since sometimes it takes me a while to get a project started. I also love the option to favorite a fabric.

I know this is for fabrics, but I am going to use it to store info and pics for my thread, patterns, and notions. It would be cool if there were a way to create separate pages for these items, but for now, giving them the appropriate tag will do.

Thank you for this wonderful app!
