### 2/5 — £20/year

*2026-07-14, version 1.4.92*

Costs £20/year or £7.99/month at time of writing.
That pricing may be fair, but it’s too much for me.

The low rating is because I had to download and answer several questions before I could see the pricing - why not just be upfront with the costs and post them in the app info?

### 2/5 — Good idea but the app needs fixing

*2026-05-20, version 1.4.13*

I was using the app for a bit and it was working fine but for the past 2 weeks anytime I try opening the app it doesn’t even load in and I paid for the yearly subscription so now I’m paying for nothing

### 4/5 — Great- Until Bug Issues

*2026-05-15, version 1.4.13*

I absolutely loved this app at first! I was able to send all of my saved recipes from Facebook and TikTok. I could even put them in separate categories and keep them organized. I didn’t have to purchase a subscription to be able to use it. Everything was fine until a couple weeks ago. My app stopped loading up any of my recipes, so I would have to log out and log back in. Now, a lot of my recipes have simply disappeared. I hope they’re not deleted forever and it’s just a bug that will fix itself as I spent hours uploading all of them.
To the creators of this app, please fix these bug issues. I love this app so much, I don’t want to have to find another one!

### 1/5 — Stashcook?

*2026-05-02, version 1.4.1*

After filling out the survey it wants me to subscribe to “stashcook” for $30 a month. Not sure what this has to do with saving recipes from social media.

### 1/5 — Bs

*2026-04-25, version 1.3.16*

You have to pay to have the app

### 1/5 — Pretty skeptical about this app

*2026-04-12, version 1.3.16*

I’m honestly pretty skeptical about this app.

I’m on the 7-day free trial and about to pay $40 a year, but I just realized I’m still limited to only 3 meal plans unless I upgrade to premium?? That makes no sense to me.

Why am I paying if I still can’t even use basic features like planning more meals? That’s literally the whole point of the app.

The whole setup feels weird and kind of misleading. It feels like you think you’re unlocking the app by paying, but in reality you’re still stuck with major limits unless you pay even more.

I don’t mind paying for apps at all — if something is good, I’ll support it. But this pricing structure just doesn’t feel fair. Either keep a free version with limits, or make the paid version fully unlocked. This in-between system just ends up being frustrating.

Right now it honestly makes me hesitate to subscribe, because I don’t even know what I’m really getting for my money.

The idea of the app is good, but the way it’s set up right now just doesn’t feel right.

### 3/5 — Subscription required

*2026-04-07, version 1.3.16*

While I appreciate the 7 day free trial it is then $39.99 yearly subscription to keep using the app. I was not aware a subscription would be required when I downloaded this app. I have unfortunately deleted it now. If there were specific features or a possible limited free version I may use it but it is just not worth the cost for me personally. I will be continuing using my current method for saving recipes. Thanks

### 3/5 — Needs a little fixing

*2026-03-25, version 1.3.16*

The app works well, I’m impressed. One thing needs fixing is the option dots on the upper right, when touched, it does not stay open and have to touch it several times. And selecting ‘send’, nothing happens so I cannot share.

### 4/5 — Easier

*2026-03-19, version 1.2.244*

Seems like a hell of a plan. We will see!

### 1/5 — Really?? My entire life??

*2026-03-17, version 1.2.244*

I don’t need a cookbook that once my entire life on file this is ridiculous. The old cookbook, before it was called stashcook was much better. My age group shouldn’t be required to use it. That’s nonsense. And now you charge for it? I’m deleting the app. This is ridiculous. Why couldn’t you have just left the old app the way it was? I’ve been using this app for years and now I can’t thanks.

## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — Used to be great

*2026-08-11, version 1.4.111*

This used to be a great app but went to open it today and it has logged me out and when I logged in again not only did it want to charge me previously this was optional, but it has lost all my saved recipes so I would have been paying for nothing. No longer recommend.

### 1/5 — Failed to start recipe process

*2026-08-05, version 1.4.100*

I used to love this app and use it all the time however he recently it doesn’t let me save anything no matter what I do whether it’s through browser paste the link or anything it just says I failed to start the recipe processors every single time. And yes, the app is up-to-date.

### 1/5 — Asks too much personal information

*2026-07-15, version 1.4.92*

I thought this sounded like a good idea but why do you have to complete a questionnaire about yourself. I shall now delete this as it seems a way to steal your personal information

### 1/5 — Cannot log in

*2026-06-15, version 1.4.86*

Downloaded this app but unfortunately after 6 attempts to log in via facebook, I’ve given up. I approve the log in at every attempt, but continues to take me back to the log in page. App now deleted

### 1/5 — Lost all my saved recipes

*2026-05-23, version 1.4.13*

I used this free app for a number of years and it was great. I went to go into it today and it now wants payment and gives no option to retrieve all my saved recipes.

If they were going to change it then surely people should have been notified so that they could retrieve their saved recipes before they got removed.

### 1/5 — Fraudulent & thieves

*2026-05-16*

DO NOT INSTALL! I had hundreds of recipes stashed in the free app. Overnight, I can’t access my recipes because the free version only limits at 8 recipes and now the years of work to gather all my recipes is lost. Impossible to contact them. Outrageous behavior. DO NOT INSTALL

**Developer response:** Hi France. I understand how upsetting it must be to find your saved recipes inaccessible after investing time in building your collection. The free version of Stashcook allows for saving up to 8 recipes and 3 collections. To access and save your full recipe library, along with advanced features like meal planning and automatic shopping list generation, a subscription is needed. This helps us cover the costs of running and improving the app. If you'd like to restore your recipes or have any questions about the subscription options, please reach out to us directly at hello@stashcook.com. We're here to help you get back to cooking. Sarah

### 1/5 — What gives?

*2026-05-10, version 1.4.5*

I’ve been using this app for months. Downloaded the update yesterday and now it won’t even open. It’ll spin forever as it “syncs” all my recipes and then stops to show an error message.

### 1/5 — It’s stopped working!

*2026-05-02, version 1.4.1*

I’ve really enjoyed using this app. Unfortunately it stopped working a couple of days ago. I’ve paid for a year access so I’m not too happy

### 1/5 — Broken

*2026-05-02, version 1.4.1*

It worked flawlessly two weeks ago now it’s broken. Just canceled my subscription.

### 1/5 — App not working

*2026-05-02, version 1.4.1*

I actually have liked using this app, it within the last week I have been unable to open the app. It just keeps spinning…

## Most praised reviews (10 highest-rated)

### 5/5 — Organization is the key ingredient!

*2026-08-19, version 1.4.111*

I’ve been using this app for a few weeks now. I’m extremely pleased with the interface and the ability to easily add, edit and organize my recipes and collections.

My absolute favorite feature is the ability to update a recipe based on number of servings. It has totally changed the way I cook. Not only can I plan for meals, but if I’m in a rush, I can pick a recipe (sorted by cook time!) and have a meal ready in 30 minutes or less - and no more wasted leftovers that absolutely no-one eats!

Two things I’d like to see updated. 1) add the ability to sort by favorites (I want to pull up my 5-star recipes first!) and 2) add the ability to transfer my shopping list items to other apps. I will give this app 6 stars if you can make it happen.

Truly no complaints. This app is a serious upgrade to how I used to manage my recipes. Highlighting, copying and pasting from websites or digging through cookbooks is an in-sane process to me now.

Now I just have one place I go to quickly add or find a recipe, check my ingredients and I’m cooking, literally. I also love that the app overrides my phone auto-sleep feature to stay open while I cook. Yet another reason for the five-star rating. Great job, StashCook!

### 5/5 — Best of the best

*2026-07-22, version 1.4.94*

I’ve tried many of these apps but they all fell short when it came to getting recipes off Facebook and similarly difficult to access sites.

But Stashbook lets you track down most every type of recipe you want! It’s a bit of a learning curve but once you’re on top of that it’s a dream to use!

### 5/5 — Best recipe app ever

*2026-06-20, version 1.4.86*

I’ve been using Stashcook for about a year and a half and in my opinion it’s the best recipe app ever and the only recipe app you will ever need thank you

### 5/5 — Thanks

*2026-06-13, version 1.4.86*

This is an awesome app

### 5/5 — Great

*2026-06-09, version 1.4.15*

This is amazing

### 5/5 — My food corner

*2026-05-19, version 1.4.13*

Seriously you couldn’t get it any easier!❤️

### 5/5 — Been great now not!

*2026-05-18, version 1.4.13*

Just got new iPhone after several months of using this app - which has been fantastic. Sadly now, it just says that the recipe processor doesn’t work! 😢

### 5/5 — Tellement pratique !

*2026-05-17*
