Greek storyteller Hellada Stasinoglou created the application for smartphones and tablet “Stasis Hellas” for everybody to use free. The app uses the new narrative possibilities of augmented reality in order to emerge the viewer into a new experience combining physical and digital space, public or private. “Stasis Hellas” (Hellas means Greece) is both an experiment with new dimensions of seeing and a satirical project. Inspired by the occasion of the 200 year anniversary of the Greek Independence (1821-2021) the artworks presented here comment wittily on attitudes, mentalities and psychoses encountered throughout modern history of the southern east Europe. Discover and share what makes Greece such a special part of the world, especially nowdays. Download the application for free and use it to place and interact with the artworks. Then capture it in a stunning photo or video and share with family and friends.
