## What is STAT EM?

We’re excited to offer STAT EM, an enhanced version of Pedi STAT, providing medication calculations for neonates to adults.  To keep giving you the most up to date content, we’ve moved to a subscription model to keep our app free of advertising.  This new version contains pediatric oral antibiotic guidelines and dosing, updated evidence-based algorithms, and neonatal resuscitation management.  It also includes adult emergency medication calculations including both weight-based and fixed dosing volumes.  We’ve added an AR feature allowing you to use your device to measure the length of child to assist in weight estimations.  Finally, you will soon have the ability to save favorites to assist you in finding the content you use most frequently. Could you please check if there is a typo in the newborn gestational age estimates section for 41-43 weeks for the IV/IO epi dose

**Developer response:** Let us know if you have identified any typos- I currently do not see any errors but will definitely correct any that are identified.

We’re continually working on improvements to our apps, and this update includes a number of improvements to the user interface to provide better visualization of medication dosing, as well as a number of behind-the-scenes enhancements.

Most importantly, the app now allows calculation of Ideal Body Weight for adult patients so medication dose calculations are much more accurate. You will now also have the ability to select your favorites and display only the medications and calculations you use most frequently, or all the content if you prefer. Last, we adjusted the "time out" feature on the app so that is stays open while using, and not prematurely closing.
