### 2/5 — Critical vals? P decimal percentage input?

Correct me if I’m wrong - and really mean this, but I cannot find anywhere that I can put in whatever quaNtile -not quartile - I want and get the associated statistic critical value for specified alpha level. I also couldn’t figure out how to do alpha divided by two for two-sided interval in order to get once again a critical value. I was forced to do .02 or .03 (because it was an incremental dial where no in-between value of .025 be put in) but not the commonly interest 95% CI critical values for my binomial proportion (2-sided) N approx. I tried to input a proportion estimate with large n an normal distributed p-hat I but it I was required to state the number of trials and number of successes. Sometimes the information doesn’t come like that. sometimes it comes in the form of a proportion directly. The setup of the app was not intuitive for me.What is the opening page with a calculator on it? I wanted simple p-values for given x AND specified significance levels; critical values for doing my CI by hand…. I wanted something quick and handy over using SAS or R for these simple summary stats. Please correct me if I have over looked some of tour calculator’s function i have no problem being corrected. It seems to have a lot of features but i cant figure anything out of what I need to do for my assignments. Is there some no Manual for your Calc? What it is nice is that it shows you a graph of your distribution - now this is very helpful that i have not seen on other stat apps. I wish such could be generated for all input/output whenever possible. This seems to be well thought out. I was surprised to see confidence intervals for proportions. However as I said before I couldn’t figure out how to get the things I needed concerning them. If corrected i will gladly change my review. I want this Calc to work for me like on an open book exam rather than SAS. Also many many thanks for not collecting data. That’s unique also to this app and you developers. I did buy the full function version perhaps that you have resources to continue to perfect it and support of what you have done thus far - very very significant even if I don’t comprehend it. It’s super reasonably priced. Thank you again for this. Sorry for the harshness of your hard work - i just don’t get it.

There is a few improvements but big one would be for you to swap input scores.

I bought this app expecting full features that I could use WITHOUT having to pay a second time. I just wanted to see what my line of best fit would like like when graphed, but I have to pay for that! You guys already make us pay for an app that, at first, is quite confusing. Why should we pay for more?

**Developer response:** Once you buy the app, ALL the features are available WITHOUT a need to purchase anything else. We simplified the purchase model and removed the need to purchase any in-app purchases.

I bought it to calculate nCr but it doesn't even have that feature. The picture shows that it does.

I have used this app for over a year, and they were very quick to update when iOS 7 came out. The basic functions are very easy to use and it does not take a long time to figure out some of the more advanced functions like regression. Linear regression is fine but power regression is very limited, only giving you a regression function of the form y = a x^b. Graphing calculators from the 90s can give you full quadratic equation regressions (y = a x^2 + b x + c), I’m not sure why this cannot. 

Another function that could be improved is the random number generator. The random numbers given are probably fine enough for most purposes, but they appear to be produced by a predetermined string, i.e. not given a “random” seed (e.g. a number from the internal clock) like a typical random number generator. You can reproduce this if you load the app on two different devices then start pressing the rand button on each, you get the same numbers!

**Developer response:** If you are trying to calculate statistics measures of a list of numbers, first use Add X, Add Y to enter your numbers. Then in the statistics section you will see the calculations.

Doesn’t offer anything as advertised, I’m guessing the reviews are faked. It’s the exact same as the one that’s on your phone

Plus, if you either turn your iPhone to landscape orientation and try scrolling left buttons to see more functions or on the portrait orientation scroll up on the screen you can choose some of the functions from portrait orientation as well. You can enter lists X, Y, and frequency to calculate statistics on those lists. It has unlimited number of lists that you can save in the memory and use as any of X, Y, and frequency lists. It can calculate, linear, logarithmic, exponential, power, and quadratic regressions. It graphs regression models. It can do calculations and graph for Normal, Student's T, and Chi-Square Distribution. It keeps a history of your calculations. It shows the math expression as you do the calculations. It does fraction calculations. It can convert between polar and rectangular coordinates. It solves quadratic equations and system of two equations. It converts decimals to degrees, minutes and seconds and vice versa. It calculates lowest common multiple and greatest common divisor. It does prime factorization. It calculates combinations and permutations. And it has a support team that doesn’t leave a single question unanswered. Do not waste your time or $ on this crappy calculator!! The calculator that comes on your phone is better than this! Total waste of time and money!

It’s ok if you need basic functions but if you need to do anything else you have to buy more. Was too difficult to figure out so i deleted shortly after.

Also please let us know what features you were wishing to use but you had to pay for as extra in app purchase? All the features within the app except for a couple of in app purchases are included with the one time purchase of the app. And those in app purchases are clearly stated in the description of the app in the App Store. Generally exceptional. One issue is that data entry is landscape but to clear the data you have to change to portrait and clear the buffers then click “done” twice, to return to data entry mode again, surely this could be more streamlined?

I was able to quickly and easily find the area under the standard normal distribution curve between my two values and so I can follow along with my online classes easily.   

This is worth the small price of $2, especially if you are serious about learning statistics anyway.
