Good to see updates coming through that resolve pitch alignment and enable inclusion heatmaps and zone analysis in the Academy App. ### 2/5 — Update needed *2026-03-02, version 2.4.2* When will the app be updated to fix things and also add missing features from the old app? I have deleted and downloaded the app 3 times now. Secondly, I emailed STATSports over a week and a half ago now and they still haven’t gotten back to me with a solution to my problem. I have also phoned up STATSports 4 different days/times and every time I’ve got a voiceover saying not available phone back later. I am very annoyed at this situation and just want a bit of help to get my tracker connected asap!!!! ### 1/5 — App is so glitchy *2026-01-07, version 2.4* Bought for my son for Christmas and so disappointed. The app does not show the sessions correctly, have constant error pop ups, loaded a session last week and now doesn’t show. Failed to load a session today but have tried to sync it again and not showing no session available. The app constantly crashes, I haven’t been able to obtain any data whatsoever. Not good enough for what I paid. ### 1/5 — Very slow to open synced session *2026-01-06, version 2.4* Xmas present. The app is incredibly slow to even show a previously synced session in the app (no cached memory?) and once visible it is equally as painfully slow to open the different metrics. ### 1/5 — Unusable App at present *2026-01-02, version 2.4* This was a new purchase for Christmas and initial impressions are very disappointing. Connectivity issues from the start make this app and product unusable at present. On the occasion I have synced a workout I am either unable to load the workout or it takes forever to load into the session and see the data. I have thus far been unable to delete any unwanted sessions that have synced and connection times out. Another disappointing feature once you have managed to get into a synced workout is the pitch overlay. It works on a screen pinch to zoom rather than let you adjust the parameters of the pitch to fit your specific needs. This does not work very well and given it is a main feature of the product needs to be looked at. Heat-map doesn’t work at all, app constantly crashes and for some reason the data doesn’t display until hours after downloading. First time i thought it didn’t record the data so i created new sessions at home to test it out and now it doesn’t let me delete the sessions i created to test it out. We have yet to be able to sync to his iPhone which is a new model so not because we don’t have the right spec. Pure rubbish from what I’ve used. Can’t seem to join a team and doesn’t seem to show as much as apex app. Don’t really know what’s going on with STATSports. Impossible to contact them as well ### 1/5 — So far poor - had 4 days and been able to get it so sync to app once! *2026-03-21, version 2.4.2* Not Great ### 1/5 — Major downgrade from “Apex” app *2026-02-13, version 2.4.1* Such a downgrade in terms of functionality from previous Apex app. If i had bought a tracker new id return it the app and experience is that bad. Buggy also, month view doesnt work on sessions ### 1/5 — Currently doesn’t work well *2026-02-01, version 2.4.1* I can’t see my heat map, i can’t delete my session to re-import it. It’s not great currently and needs fixing asap. ### 1/5 — Issues needs sorting ASAP *2026-01-13, version 2.4* - App Crashing: Crashes every few seconds especially after syncing - Pitch: Fixed to a central point (you need to be able to move it not just rotate and zoom) & Needs to be easier to show where pitch is (be able to use satellite images to actually see the pitch - Analysis: Can’t see a heat map or how far you covered each half. Customer services have not got back to me even though it’s been over a week. I’m now aware of lots of bad reviews so not holding out much hope. I don’t know why the set up has to be so complicated. You can go into ASDA and buy headphones for £15, switch it on and go to Bluetooth on your phone and click pair device and you are in business, useable in under a minute, but with this it wants usernames and email addresses and passwords. Every workaround provided by Apex hasn’t worked.
