I can’t even load into the app. It’s also ridiculous you can’t disable the feature where it AUTOMATICALLY pauses and plays your music if you take out your earbuds, but god forbid you hold it in your hand so now it still thinks it’s in your ear and keeps pausing and playing and pausing and playing and there is no way to turn this feature off. Also, you can’t reprogram the physical buttons? Really?? That’s not even the worst of it, by default, if you tap your earbuds once, it pauses and plays. Okay, not a big deal but if you need to slightly adjust your earbuds because they’re falling out, oops now it’s paused again. Fine, I changed it to pause when you double tap, but then it barely ever registers the second tap. All of that not even to mention, after my Pro X’s disconnected when I turned off bluetooth, they DEFAULTED BY TO SINGLE TAP and I can’t change it again because the app isn’t working. So crispy ### 4/5 — Location for earbuds? *2026-06-30, version 2.7* The app directs me to the wrong location in the iPhone to enable location services to track the pro x earbuds. When I go to “location” to find the correct setting to toggle location permissions on, status hub isn’t an option to select. I have over 100 other apps with location settings to toggle, but status hub isn’t one of them. Only docking a star for that, but sound quality and ANC and touch controls are all great. ### 2/5 — Decent app and amazing headphones *2026-06-11, version 2.7* Headphones are amazing and the app is pretty decent. A few suggestions, we need a way to opt out of data collection, you claim no data is collected yet the app is making several connections to google and sending analytics data, so data IS being collected just much less compared to others. I bought these headphones for the fact the app claimed no data was collected i do NOT want any of my data going to google in any way. We also really need an option in the app to disable touch controls on the headphones. I am using the 3ANC model and the headphones themselves are wonderful but the touch controls are way too sensitive and responsive to any touch at all, you cant even set one down wrong or it triggers the touch controls, i have accidentally blasted the volume or turned it all the way down several times in just the first day of usage. The product appealed to me because it’s developed by audio engineers. I am in audio production. I used the Between Pro model and fell in love with the quality and how different listening felt. The triple driver technology is easier on the ears. The clarity is unmatched. I then got the BT-1 model. They’re on the ear and the quality is superb. I use them when mixing with headphones because the accuracy is excellent. I also bought the studio model. I forget the name. But these were large over the ear. They were super flat but the delicate wiring cut the life span short and only produces sound in one ear. Still, Status Audio is my one and only choice for listening to music. I’m now the proud owner of the Pro-X model. I am floored by the quality and separation. My mixes sound far better than I realized. Go Status Audio. They’re affordable, they care and the quality of construction and sound is unmatched. Period. Thank you, folks at Status. Your company is a game changer. When I say I’ve bought damn near every style of ear buds on the market let me tell you I have I’ve spent well over 2 thousand in the past 3 months hands down status pro x are the best quality of sound you will ever get I had a pair of their between anc3 and I thought they were the best an there was no way they could be beat ! well the folks at status once again kicked azz , the quality of sound will not be matched. Music is the most important part of my life when I need to get away from a crazy day . You hear everything , every instrument nice and crisp as if they are playing right in front of you blocking out the outside sound cures the flying issue that most earbuds and headphones have while in flight if you want to stop wasting money on all the “OTHER BEST EARBUDS“stop !!!! buy these pro x earbuds you will not be disappointed promise! ### 5/5 — Best earbuds ever *2026-05-11, version 2.7* I’ve had both the Between 3ANC and now the Pro X. The insane sensitivity of the touch controls makes these headphones a waste of money, Status also treats disabling them as a premium feature only available on the pro x model when i have $30 Bluetooth headphones from other brands that offer the option but these much more expensive ones do not because they are not the most expensive option…. Not to mention they claim no data is collected but data is in fact collected with no opt out option. These headphones i bought purely for meditations and the fact no data was collected. Because of software i cant use them for their only purpose and data is collected…. Rewrote my review and changed to 1 star because support in an email told me when requesting the feature to disable touch controls that its not a currently supported feature, so i guess when requesting features make sure its already a feature…. ### 1/5 — Cannot connect *2026-07-05, version 2.7* It simply doesn’t work. I’ve had them for 3 years now and are great for long flights. It seems the connectivity has gotten more and more difficult, to the point I can no longer use the app. I’ve tried resetting in the case and putting into pairing mode with no success. Often times the earbuds get out of sync because I use one for calls sometimes then it gets difficult to sync them back just putting them in the case and holding the button doesn’t seem to work. I have to do things in a very specific sequence otherwise it doesn’t reset. ### 1/5 — Find my device is whack *2026-03-14, version 2.6* I got the Status Between 2ANC and the sound quality is great. The touch controls don’t seem to work after a couple months and the recharge for ear buds tend to be iffy half the time. My biggest issue is that the tracking for ear buds only work when you’re actively wearing them. Which means if you accidentally leave the earbuds in the case and lose it, you won’t be able to track the where the ear buds are. Which makes it pretty useless. Apple AirPods show if you’re wearing one ear bud and the other or all 3 separate items, both earbuds and case which I wish this company also applied to the app. The app only works when you’re wearing the earbuds and if not, it won’t connect to the box and show you details like battery charge or how to adjust ur audio settings. I’ve lost one of my earbuds in this fashion where the earbud fell out and could never retrieve it either using the supposed helpful app. The ear bud didn’t connect to the case and even when I have both parts (case and ear bud), I’ve struggled to get it to connect having to disconnect and reconnect and repeat the steps many times. Do not recommend as their selling price is way to expensive for simple fixes. ### 1/5 — Great headphones. In order for An application to be accessible, things need to be labeled properly. Button, button, button, does not help someone who can not see. Screen readers can not work with images either. in order for an application to be accessible, it needs to have buttons that are properly labeled, as well as sliders and toggle switches. For example, when encountering a slider, A blind person will hear the value of the slider, what it controls, and what type of control it is. Example, 50%, low EQ, slider.
