## What is Stay Alive ∙ Water Tracker?

The water tracker that tells it like it is. STAY.ALIVE counts every drink: water, coffee, tea, milk and 25+ more, shows your total in a bold dot-matrix display, and turns red when you fall behind.

No cartoon mascots. No guilt trips. Just a clear number, a goal built around your body, and reminders that call you by name: "JUST A LITTLE SHORT, QUEEN."

EVERY DRINK COUNTS
Your morning latte isn't nothing. STAY.ALIVE counts each drink for how much it really hydrates you: tea and black coffee at 90%, milky coffee at 110%, milk at 130%. Pick a drink from the dial, choose your mug, cup, can or bottle, drag to fill, and log. Water is always two taps.

CAFFEINE, HANDLED
See today's caffeine against your daily limit, how much is still in your system at bedtime, and how your week stacked up. Set your own limit and bedtime. Inform, never lecture.

STAY ON PACE
STAY.ALIVE knows how much you should have had by now. On track, everything stays calm. Falling behind, the whole app shifts red, and reminders nudge you before it's a problem — never while you sleep.

ON YOUR LOCK SCREEN AND HOME SCREEN
Live Activities and the Dynamic Island keep your total, pace and next nudge in view, in three styles. Dot-matrix Home Screen widgets — including Matrix Log and Caffeine — come in every size and every theme.

LOOK BACK ANY TIME
Swipe through past weeks and months, watch your streak grow, and fill in a drink you forgot. The month grid glows brighter the closer you got to your goal each day.

APPLE HEALTH
Two-way sync: drinks you log here appear in Apple Health, and water or caffeine from your Apple Watch or other apps counts here.

MAKE IT YOURS
Eleven themes named after drinks — from the free Classic look to Neon Soda, Midnight Tonic, Matcha, Macchiato, Cosmopolitan, Glacier Soda, Lychee Iced Tea, Mint Apple, Taro Milk Tea and Shaved Ice. Millilitres or ounces. A goal you set, based on your weight and activity.

PRIVATE BY DESIGN
No account, no sign-up. Your hydration data stays on your device.

FREE AND PRO
Logging water, your daily goal, reminders and streaks are free, forever. STAY.ALIVE Pro unlocks every drink, caffeine tracking, widgets, Live Activity styles, full history and past-day editing, and ten Pro themes. Choose monthly, yearly with a free trial, or a one-time lifetime unlock.

STAY.ALIVE started because my fiancée kept getting headaches from forgetting to drink. Stay hydrated. Stay alive.

## Version history (last 5 releases)

### 1.2 — 2026-10-10

Every drink counts now.

Log coffee, tea, milk, juice, soda, sports drinks and more — over 25 drinks, each counted for how much it actually hydrates you. A long black counts as 90% water. Milk counts as 130% (seriously, it keeps you hydrated longer than water). Your goal, streak and widgets all use the real number.

Caffeine, handled. A new caffeine card shows today's total against your daily limit, and the caffeine page charts how much is still in your system right up to bedtime. There's a Caffeine widget for your Home Screen too, and caffeine syncs with Apple Health.

A new Log Drink screen. Pick a drink from the dial, choose a mug, cup, can or takeaway size, drag to fill, done. Water is still two taps. Reorder or hide drinks so your usuals come first, and tap any logged drink to change it.

Also new: short Insights cards (does coffee dehydrate you? nope), sounds and little celebrations when you log and hit your goal, and drink icons in Today's Log and the Matrix Log widget.

### 1.1.3 — 2026-09-30

What's new in 1.1.3:
The water in Log Drink now moves with your phone. Tilt it and the surface stays level, give it a shake and it sloshes, then it settles back down. (It stays still if you've turned on Reduce Motion.)
Glass mode for your Lock Screen. Turn it on in Settings → Live Activity and your hydration banner turns translucent, so your wallpaper shows through.
Pro annual now comes with a two-week free trial, and you'll get a reminder the day before it ends.

What's new in 1.1.2:
Reaching your goal is now a moment. The dot matrix bursts into confetti, fireworks, a rising wave or a splash, a different one each time. Your first drink of the day lights the streak flame and scrolls your streak across the screen, and everyday logs sometimes fill a wave up to where you are today.
Also: a cleaner upgrade screen that interrupts less, a reminder the day before a free trial ends, and Send Feedback in Settings (we read every message). Smoother animations throughout, softer dots in the light themes, and a fix for reminders occasionally cancelling other scheduled notifications.

What's new in 1.1.1:
a Live Activity style picker (Settings → Live Activity; three styles, Pro), a new Home Screen widget "Matrix Log" (medium and large), a new theme "Shaved Ice", and fixes. To see the Live Activity: log a drink from the dashboard, lock the device, and the activity appears on the Lock Screen and in the Dynamic Island. Pro can be unlocked with the sandbox subscription; the lifetime price changed to $29.99. No changes to Health, data collection or the privacy policy.

What's new in 1.1:
This update adds optional Apple Health sync (off by default). It's enabled from Settings → Apple Health, which shows an in-app explanation and then the standard HealthKit permission sheet. The app writes the dietary water it logs and reads dietary water/caffeine from other sources to total the daily goal. No Health data leaves the device, is shared with third parties, or is included in any backup. The App Privacy section has been updated to declare Health & Fitness data (app functionality only, not linked to identity, not used for tracking), and the privacy policy at https://stayalivewatertrackerprivacypolicy.my.canva.site/ has a new Apple Health section describing this use. Pro can be tested with the sandbox subscription; no sign-in is required.

### 1.1.1 — 2026-09-25

Your Lock Screen, your way. Choose from three Live Activity styles in Settings — Goal & Text, Dot Matrix,
or Last Drink & Next Nudge — and the Dynamic Island changes to match when you press and hold it.

A new widget. Matrix Log puts your total in dot-matrix on the Home Screen with today's drinks listed
underneath, in medium and large sizes and every theme. It turns red with the rest of the app when you
fall behind.

Shaved Ice, a new light theme: a snow-white gradient with black ink.

Also: tap the Goal Progress ring to switch between millilitres and percent, ounces now read as "63 oz"
instead of a number, tighter dot-matrix numerals, evenly spaced dashboard cards, and a smoother
swipe-back gesture.

Recently added in 1.1: swipe back through past weeks and months, fill in a drink you forgot (Pro),
Apple Health sync, and seven more themes.

### 1.1 — 2026-09-22

Your history is here. Swipe the Weekly and Monthly screens to look back through past weeks and months, and tap a day in Today's Log to fill in a drink you forgot (Pro). The month grid now glows brighter the closer you got to your goal each day.

Apple Health sync. Turn it on in Settings and every drink you log appears in Health, while water logged by other apps or your Apple Watch counts toward your goal here.

Also new: seven more themes — Matcha, Macchiato, Cosmopolitan, Glacier Soda, Lychee Iced Tea, Mint Apple and Taro Milk Tea — a redesigned theme picker, goal progress that keeps counting past 100%, and a fix for a crash when adding a missed drink.
