## What is Stay Close?

Weeks pass. Then months. And the longer the silence goes on, the harder it feels to break — until calling an old friend needs an occasion.

Stay Close is a quiet nudge to reach the people you keep meaning to reach. No feed, no likes, nobody else can see it. Just you and the handful of people who matter.


SET A RHYTHM, NOT A DEADLINE

Some people you want to speak to every week. Others every few months. Group them into circles — family, close friends, everyone else — and give each one its own pace. Stay Close only speaks up when someone is genuinely due.


NEVER OPEN WITH JUST "HEY"

Keep a line about what's going on in their life. Their mum's operation, the new job, the exam coming up. It appears right there on the reminder, so you're never starting from nothing.


WATCH THE WARMTH COME BACK

Everyone cools off over time. Stay Close shows it as a temperature: people you've spoken to recently glow, people slipping away quietly fade. It's the gentlest way to notice a friendship going quiet while there's still time to do something about it.

No account. No sign-in. No server. Your people, your notes and your history never leave this device. Turn the internet off and Stay Close works exactly the same.

I built this because I kept letting people drift, and a reminders app wasn't doing it — it told me to call, but never what to say. If it helps you stay close to someone, that's the whole point.
