Thanks for using StayClose! ### 1.0.7 — 2026-07-13 What's New in 1.0.7 Location history, rebuilt • Stops now show real place and street names — a café, a shop, "123 Main St" — instead of a generic "Stopped" or "Driving" label. You can finally tell where someone actually was. • A full-screen route map with a swipeable card for each stop. Swipe through the day and the map follows the trail; tap any pin and it jumps straight to that card. • History opens instantly now instead of sitting on a loading spinner, and it works offline once loaded. A clearer map • The map now opens in satellite view by default, with street and business names — so you can see exactly where your squad is, not just a blue dot on a blank street. • Fixed pins that could get stuck showing an old speed or a car icon when someone was actually parked. Squads made easier • Double-tap the Squad tab to jump straight to your next squad. • Tap an invite code to copy it — no more reading it out digit by digit. • Premium members can bring friends in: free users can join a Premium-owned squad without it counting against their own 3-squad limit. • Fixed: "Join Squad with Code" disappeared once you were already in a squad. This respects each member's Location Sharing setting and is optimized for battery life. • The map now notifies you when an iPhone setting is limiting location tracking such as "While Using the App," Precise Location being turned off, or location access denied — and provides a one-tap shortcut to the relevant Settings page. • Improved background location reliability after the app has been closed, so movement is detected and shared more consistently. • More dependable squad management, including reliable squad deletion, a clear "Leave Squad" option for members who aren't the squad's creator, and clearer error messages when something goes wrong. ### 1.0.4 — 2026-07-06 What's New Privacy & battery improvements, plus more reliable offline alerts. • Location Sharing off now means off. Turning off Location Sharing fully stops the app from using your location in the background — not just from sharing it. When it's off, live tracking and place monitoring stop completely. • Battery Optimization that actually saves battery. The Profile toggle now lowers GPS precision and updates less often when enabled, for longer battery life. It's off by default, so you keep full-precision location unless you choose to save power. • Fixed a battery drain on the "Create Place" screens, where location stayed active after you left the screen. • Escalating offline reminders (Premium). Squad owners can now re-alert the squad if a member stays offline for 30 minutes and/or 1 hour, on top of the standard 15-minute alert. • More reliable "appears offline" alerts.
