Not only have I found apps that I needed that I may never have found on my own but I’ve been paid to use those apps by Steady. The payments have been substantial and mostly easy to get. Steady also provides information on potential employment opportunities and really on any topic that may help you to improve your finances such as insurance deals, debt consolidation companies, information on survey apps, bank accounts and so on. I highly recommend Steady as a way to consolidate a large amount of information and offers that are normally scattered about your App Store and the internet. Here it is all in one place. To top it off steady helps you track your income, spending, and credit across all of your accounts, so it is truly a one stop financial shop. ### 5/5 — Used to be a great app *2023-08-18* When I first started using this app a little over 2 years ago, it’s was a great app, I completed several of the boosters and received my payment within 1-3 days every time. More recently after not having a need to take advantage of the income boosters for about a year and a half, I completed 2 boosters about a month ago and I haven’t received my payment for either one. I did notice that the terms and conditions states that it may take 90 days to receive payment but if I recall it stated the same thing or very similar in the past when I received my payment quickly. In my opinion if it is going to take 90 days to receive the booster then the whole purpose of the boosters is pointless. I have emailed support several times in hopes to maybe get an idea about the status of the booster payments but have yet to receive a response. This app would be great if it were more like it used to be. ### 1/5 — Not worth the time and they won’t pay you *2023-08-16* I used Steady to sign up with Varo bank (under a different email) in August 2022 bc they were offering $75 within 90 days to do so and I needed a new bank. I read all the fine print, and made sure to follow all the sign-up instructions to a T to make sure I got the monies. Fast forward to about a month after the 90 days is up and I haven’t heard anything. I email support SEVERAL TIMES and they finally respond telling me to provide proof that I signed up with Varo bank using all their instructions, which I provided immediately. I waited another two months, and finally got the email I had been waiting on. They granted me my reward, finally. When I signed up with Varo bank I was promised $75 because I signed up within a specific time period. If you go to the app today, that $75 sign-up reward has dropped by over half to just $30. This $30 is what they FINALLY paid me after a full year of waiting. Not the $75 they promised me. And I will keep fighting for the rest of my money owed bc this b*llsh*t is ridiculous. In the meantime, I’d recommend to everyone else not using Steady for extra money. Chances are you’ll never get it all unless you want to fight a lazy support team. **Developer response:** We don't show an account under that name. We would love to help ensure you receive your reward well within the time frame in the app, but the turnaround time might not be as immediate as you're expecting. ### 2/5 — Still waiting *2023-05-11* If you’re looking for an app with a promisingly quick payout this is NOT the app for you… I completed 2 boosters on 4/07 for $20 and 4/13 for $10, and although I see some other reviewers received their payouts quickly, I am not one of them. I have yet to see either of my 2 booster payments rewarded to my preferred payout method (my linked bank checking account.) I understand in their terms and conditions it mentions that boosters can take upwards of 90 days to arrive but usually when it says that it’s no where near that long before you get paid. I guess I should’ve taken it literally as that’s what it seems I might be waiting to see my booster rewards. I even emailed support to make sure the offers were completed properly and they responded yes that they were and just reiterated the 90 day waiting period mentioned in the terms and conditions. I just feel like chances are if you’re using apps like “Steady” you’re in need of the funds pretty quickly and there’s plenty of similar apps and websites, willing to get you your payout much MUCH faster. **Developer response:** Hello - We would love to help and ensure you receive your rewards within the 90-day limit listed in the Steady app like our other Members that have received over $15 Million of those very rewards. We are here to help. ### 1/5 — Never received my booster! *2023-02-14, version 5.89.0* My experience with the app so far has been horrible to say the least. Soon as I signed up I went with the $75 Varo booster and completed all the steps exactly as it stated to do in the instructions. After a couple of months of not receiving any kind of communications or deposits showing in my account I reached out to customer support which is by email. By this time I had been getting my paychecks deposited into my Varo account and spent way over the requirement needed to receive the booster. So I emailed customer support explaining to them that I had not yet received my booster. Over a month later I received a reply back asking me to provide screenshots or my welcome email that I received after setting up my Varo account. So I submitted the requested screenshots and it’s been months and have not heard anything at all back from customer support. Hopefully others have had a better experience because mine has not been great at all. ### 5/5 — I gave it a try and I was not disappointed *2023-01-31, version 5.87.0* This app is amazing, from the opportunities to make some extra money to the wonderful customer service. After completing my first booster I patiently waited to receive my $75 reward, after reading that it could take up to 90 days. I began to worry when time passed and I still had not received anything, so I reached out to customer support. Realistically, I expected to wait a good while for a response, if I even got one. If I did get an answer, I expected to be given some reason why I would not be getting the reward. Instead, I quickly received an apology for the delay, and was told that the reward would be manually entered, and I’d have it in 7-10 days. Within two days I had it. ### 3/5 — Varo booster *2023-01-04, version 5.85.0* The reason I give only 3 starts is because it took longer than 90 days to receive the booster. I mean 90 day waiting period seems a bit much to begin with. I also had to take it upon myself to search for another way to contact them. I tried inquiring about the status of my booster payment in the app 3 times never got a reply so I had to google contact information for steady and email them a couple times before I heard back. It took close to 4 months for me receive the money and I feel that if I never took it upon myself to find other contact options that I would still be waiting for the booster and probably would never have received it at all. To wrap this up I did indeed receive the booster so it’s not a scam just poor customer service. ### 1/5 — WILL NOT PAY YOU!! *2022-10-25, version 5.84.0* A year ago I would have given 5 stars. I was always paid within a week or 2 of completing a booster. Today…ZERO stars! I’ve been waiting over a month now on the payout for a booster. Been waiting on a reply from their support team for a few weeks now. They do not respond. Seems they respond to these reviews though. If you’d spend as much time replying to emails as you do trying to redeem yourselves in these ratings there probably wouldn’t be so many negative reviews. You should also try paying people for the boosters as promised. The description of the boosts insinuate that a customer will be paid in a timely manor. However, that is NOT the case. 30 days I’ve been waiting and still no payment. Your fine print says that it could take up to 60 days to receive payout. It doesn’t say that it will. Just that it could take up to.… yet many of these reviews are from ppl who have waited more than 60 days and still no payment. You should make it clear, in bold print, at the top of the booster that you’re not going to send the payout and to not bother with contacting support because no one will respond. That would save others from wasting their time completing boosters that they’re expecting to be paid for in a timely manor. Pretty pathetic way to conduct yourselves honestly. Why not shut down the boosters until you’ve paid all of the people you currently owe? We would love to help ensure you receive your reward well within the time frame listed right there in the app, but the turnaround time might not be as immediate as you're expecting. ### 1/5 — What’s going on with Steady lately? *2022-10-20, version 5.83.0* Started using steady I would say about 2yrs ago and they’ve always been pretty good at sending out payments for boosters completed. However, I’ve recently been having trouble getting in contact with steady about a booster I completed nearly 2 months ago. Typically it would take about 2 weeks to receive my payment but as of late, its been hard getting into contact with Steady via email, let alone receiving my payment. The booster was for $25, and it’s mind boggling that it’s taken this long to receive my payment especially since I’ve done boosters for $50 in the past and the payments came a lot quicker. I understand their policy says wait up to 60 days, but that seems ridiculous for just a $25 booster. And the closer it gets to 60 days the more unlikely it seems that I’ll receive my payment. 2yrs ago Steady would have gotten a 5 star out of me, but I can only give them 1 star as of now because of the recent lapse. ### 1/5 — Horrible Communication, False Advertising *2022-10-12, version 5.82.0* Steady does not reply to emails at all. I have sent three so far and have yet to receive anything close to a response. I have completed income boosters and from reading the eligibility criteria I should have received a payout for the both of them already. Yet, all I received in return was an email stating that they have received my response. They really need to put out a disclaimer for this as the schedule of when you are to receive anything isn’t clear, otherwise this is definitely false advertisement. Otherwise, Steady is an okay app that lets you track spending and find jobs (not better than apps specifically for that purpose). What makes Steady appeal to consumers is their income boosters which I do believe to be a scam as they still haven’t responded or resolved anything with me, though I do have a Varo and Upgrade checking account which I do receive direct deposits in. Lastly, this is not to bash the company but to share my honest opinion about their services.
