## What is Steady?

Every anxious flyer deserves a calm, steady companion — one that's already loaded and ready before the wheels leave the ground. Steady is the warm pocket co-pilot for fear of flying: a turbulence forecast built from real NOAA data, a caring community that watches over your flight live, and instant calm tools that work fully offline at 30,000 feet.

THE TURBULENCE FORECAST
Type your flight number or route, pick your departure date, and Steady pulls live pilot reports (PIREPs) and SIGMET advisories from the NOAA Aviation Weather Center within 100 nautical miles of your flight path. It blends them with seasonal jet-stream patterns and the typical character of your route — climb, cruise, descent — into a calm, honest preview: an overall smoothness score, a confidence percentage, a segment-by-segment breakdown, and a timeline chart. If a flight number maps to the wrong route, fix it with one tap. No drama. No surprises. Just gentle, prepared knowing.

NEVER FLY ALONE — MONITORBUDDY
Fear of flying shrinks when someone's watching over you. Post your flight to MonitorBuddy and a community of fellow nervous flyers will follow it live on the radar, sending encouragement while you're in the air. Watch over someone else's flight tonight — and land to find kind words waiting for you.

INSTANT CALM, FULLY OFFLINE
Every sound, voice, and screen is pre-loaded on your device. Airplane mode is completely fine. When anxiety spikes mid-flight, one tap on the SOS button launches guided 4-4-4-4 box breathing with a soothing, unhurried voice. The 5-4-3-2-1 grounding exercise anchors your racing mind back to the present with soft haptics and glowing constellations.

UNDERSTAND THE FEAR AWAY
Not sure why a heavy metal tube stays in the air? Jello Plane shows you, simply and beautifully, how air itself holds the plane aloft. What's That Sound? explains every cabin noise — engine hum, the seatbelt ding, landing gear locking in. The unknown is what frightens us; knowledge brings calm. And when you need your mind somewhere else entirely, the distraction arcade (Subtract by 7, Color Match) occupies exactly the part of your brain that fuels anxiety spirals.

CELEBRATE EVERY LANDING
After every flight, Steady generates a vintage-style Bravery Boarding Pass — a shareable keepsake celebrating what you just did. Track live flight progress, keep a history of every flight you've conquered, and build bravery streaks that remind you of your own resilience.

Features at a glance:
• Turbulence Forecast — route + date specific, from NOAA pilot reports (PIREPs) and SIGMET advisories, with confidence % and segment breakdown
• MonitorBuddy — a community that watches over your flight live
• Live flight tracking with radar view
• One-tap SOS box breathing with a calming bundled voice
• 5-4-3-2-1 grounding with soft haptics
• Jello Plane — why planes don't fall, explained visually
• What's That Sound? — every cabin noise explained
• Distraction arcade — Subtract by 7, Color Match
• Bravery Boarding Pass after every flight
• Fully offline — works in airplane mode

Whether you call it flight anxiety, aerophobia, aviophobia, or just being a nervous flyer — you don't have to white-knuckle it anymore. Download Steady before your next flight and bring something that actually helps with your fear of flying.

### 1/5 — Scam

*2026-07-14*

I’ve tried to use this app for 5 flights. The flight number look-up doesn’t pull up your flight, but some random bs flight. The $22 subscription to get the benefits is 100% NOT worth it. The main reason why I want it is for the forecast for turbulence. It uses zero credible resources. DONT WASTE YOUR TIME!

**Developer response:** Hi! dev here, and I'm sorry Steady let you down. Two honest notes: (1) The turbulence forecast is built from real NOAA Aviation Weather Center data — live pilot reports (PIREPs) and SIGMET advisories along your route — and the app now shows those sources on every forecast. (2) You're right about the flight lookup: the route database occasionally maps a flight number to an outdated route. The latest update lets you instantly correct the route with one tap, and we're working on better sources. If you email herman@nordicsocialmedia.com I'd like to refund your subscription and hear which flights it got wrong so we can fix them. /Herman

## Version history (last 5 releases)

### 1.3.4 — 2026-08-06

Your calm tools now keep perfect count.

• Fixed flight statistics so breathing minutes, sounds learned, and grounding rounds are recorded reliably for every flight
• The Live Activity on your Lock Screen now stays in sync — your progress updates live, even after reopening Steady
• Ending a flight now clears the Lock Screen timer immediately
• The in-flight timer on Home always counts from your real departure time

Thank you for flying with Steady.

### 1.3.3 — 2026-07-29

Updates to make it easier to find flight numbers that have changed in the last couple of days.

### 1.3.2 — 2026-07-26

Small but important improvements to flight lookup:
• When a flight number returns a route, Steady now clearly asks you to confirm it matches your ticket — airlines change flight numbers often, so routes can be outdated
• It's now obvious you can always enter your route manually with airport codes (like JFK and LAX) or city names, no flight number needed
• Updated support contact details so you can reach us faster

### 1.3.1 — 2026-07-24

Turbulence forecast, made even easier:

• Enter any route with simple FROM and TO boxes — airport codes or city names both work
• 4 forecasts a day (up from 2) for Steady Pro
• Clearer route check after flight number lookup, so you always forecast the right flight
• The keyboard now tucks away automatically after you enter a flight number

Small fixes and polish throughout. Fly steady.

### 1.3.0 — 2026-07-23

• Flight lookup: if the route doesn't match your ticket, correct it with one tap
• Turbulence Forecast now clearly names its data sources — live NOAA pilot reports (PIREPs) and SIGMET advisories — and never overstates the bumps
• Polish and fixes across the app
