## What is Steak Guide?

Cooking a perfect steak is difficult. Very difficult. Experienced master chefs learns the process by heart after years of trial and error and still have to give the steak their full attention to get it just right every time.  Some seem think that it is just putting the meat in the pan and flipping after some time has passed. There is A LOT more to a perfect steak than that. 

First of all, every piece of meat is different and has different characteristics. What type of meat is it? How thick is it? What rarity is desired? 

Different combinations of these attributes requires different preparations and a whole new set of timings. Each meat has to be cooked, flipped and rest at different heats and times to make it your desired doneness.

This app makes the process a whole lot easier! Its advanced algorithms automatically calculates with second-precision each step of the process based on exactly your steak and how you want it done.

### 1/5 — Too restricted

*2022-02-08*

Tried to use it, but the non premium version is way too restricted so I cannot test it. Cannot select a cut less than 3.5 cm without paying. My steaks are rarely thicker than 2cm. If you want to make a trial, limit the number of uses, but let me test the meat cocked how I like to eat it, not how you want me to.

It looks pretty but you can do very little with the free app. I’d be happy to pay for the premium if the free app actually worked but it doesn’t work well at all. 

Updated to add: It appears it hasn’t been tested on smaller models of iPhone such as the SE because it’s impossible to change the settings on a smaller screen due to the layout. I wasn’t able to test it by cooking steak because I couldn’t get that far. It’s possible it works on larger screens but if you have a smaller screen it won’t work.
