It now clearly sets out syncing and it has the battery level indicator on the dashboard. There is an Enterprise version that is the much more advanced app. ### 1/5 — THIS DEVELOPER DIDN’T DO THE MOST BASIC TESTING OF THIS NEW VERSION!!! *2026-01-17, version 3.75* This new version is full of errors that a good software developer would have easily caught. This updated version will not allow successful connection to the wifi controller. I had to download an older version of the Steak Locker app using an old iPad that I have and was able to install the controller with ease. Using the older app, everything works perfectly. However, once logging on the newer version on my iPhone 17, it gives an incorrect temperature (the humidity reading appears to work just fine). Only able to use with 2.4 GHz wireless single band router and even if you are able to get the app connected to the internet, good luck figuring out what locker it’s connected to. My locker was set at 35 degrees and 70% humidity and the app said my locker was 79 degrees and 52% humidity. Disconnected and reconnected multiple times and read the same. Can’t control/change temp and humidity of locker from app. Worthless!! ### 1/5 — Guess I’ll buy a temp gauge - ugh *2022-07-24, version 3.71* App or sensor? Which one is correct? I don’t know - guessing the sensor doesn’t relay the right info. I’ll buy a temp and humidity gauge to place in locker just to be sure. And other than tracking battery level definitely not reliable! In other words, don’t bother with app! Would like Steak Locker to respond to my and everyone else’s questions and comments - you’d think that would be high on their list of to-do’s. Here’s an example of an appropriate response: [we apologize for the poor performance of the app and sensor . . . We are developing a better and more reliable solution . . . We will send the updated sensor which has been thoroughly tested free of charge . . . The app has been redesigned and improved as well . . . For your inconvenience, here is a voucher / pre-loaded credit card for $150 to purchase a primal cut from your local meat butcher . . . ### 1/5 — Won’t connect *2022-03-01, version 3.71* The Steak Locker is great. The app isn’t worth trying. Won’t connect. And with not connecting you can’t even access the feature to track inventory. Get the appliance, don’t bother with the app. ### 1/5 — Doesn’t work at all *2022-02-22, version 3.71* Won’t connect to steak locker. It just says “Something went wrong, press reset button and try again.” I’ve done it 12 times and it won’t connect. I bought a Level Sense and use it to monitor the temp and humidity instead of this non-working app. ### 2/5 — Like the locker - Hate the sensor *2021-07-28, version 3.71* Only has info of temperature, humidity, and battery life of the rechargeable sensor. No remote control of the locker itself. Has an inventory section to keep track of the contents with a date timer. Has a few good videos. But, I haven’t been able to keep it connected to the sensor for more than a couple hours at a time. The manual and how to videos seem simple to connect but after 100 times (not exaggerating) trying to connect it is complicated to impossible. When it IS connected the temp is 20+ degrees off even though the sensor has been in the locker for days. Not sure why I’m giving it a 2 star.
