### 1/5 — Logged in once, now I can’t get access

Managed to log in once, now I can’t seem to log in ever again. Even the website won’t send a verification code. I would avoid this app and certainly don’t try to buy a digital subscription, just get a paper copy in the post. It’s 2025 and Bauer can’t build an app properly!

I was given a Digital Subscription as a gift from my son this Christmas. I was notified of the gift, but no instructions or contact details whatsoever were attached. Since then, I have been unable to access any part of the magazine and have been involved in endless correspondence with the publishers. Accounts have been re-set, log ins reloaded, Apps deleted and uploaded again with no result. I have asked for the subscription to be cancelled and the payment returned to my son. Never Again.

### 1/5 — Slow, badly designed and full of bugs

The magazine is great but the app… I am so done with it. 

Bugs left right and centre, some of which I reported 2+ years ago but in short: you can guarantee that whilst you’re reading, you’ll turn a page and the next spread will just be totally blank. Won’t load, nothing you can do will make it load. 

The featured stories on the app homepage sometimes change with every issue but sometimes sit there for 3-4 months and the archive section appears to be the only way to actually read the whole magazine, the rest of the app is just a jumbled selection. 

Not only that but half the time the app is just ridiculously slow to load even on a high speed internet connection. 

Great magazine but the rebuilt app launched last year (I think?) solved literally none of the problems and managed to create more. If I could digitally subscribe any other way, I would

I’ve really enjoyed this subscription. It continues to provide up to date articles on the various Heritage Railways while addressing issues that affect all Heritage Railway enthusiasts.

Don’t like new format.  No sense of reading a magazine.  How to use this app didn’t load!

I love this magazine but now that they have changed (updated) the app, Safari won’t let me log in with my normal log in details because there are too many “redirects” and Safari recognises that as a possible security issue. No doubt many other users are having the same issue!
