### 4/5 — Ok but….

*2022-07-18, version 4.6.1*

Puzzles are fun but it kicks me off every few rounds and have to open the app back up

### 4/5 — Very good - But much room for improvement

*2021-08-13, version 4.6.1*

I enjoyed this game from the first use. I’m above level 100 and it’s still fun, but a few things could be better. 1. I wish the ball interacted more interestingly with the mechanical objects. Basically it just bounces off the outside of objects. It’s a shame conveyers don’t move or buttons press to cause another action. 2. The ball sometimes gets stuck on a flat surface. The game takes forever to recognize you cannot proceed. A quicker restart would be more enjoyable. 3. Essentially, all you are able to do is slide objects horizontal or vertical axis. I’d like to tilt conveyers on angles or move in more than one dimension. 4. I’ve found some slight variation in the dynamics from drop to drop whether I move anything or not. ALSO, I’m not sure the game is sensitive enough to small movements of objects. Sometimes I move an object with a pen a tiny bit. Sometimes the ball has a large change in direction, other times not. It doesn’t seem consistent and feels like my ability to complete some levels are hard because the game is inconsistent not because I’m failing to master the geometry. The concept and mechanics of this game are fun, but as a visual representation of applied physics there is much room to go bigger. I hope to see that in higher levels or in the next release. I do love the game, I just know it can become more awesome.

**Developer response:** Thank you very much for your feedback. We are glad you are enjoying the game. We will continue improving the game with every update. In meantime we’ve released a new sequel Steampunk Puzzle 2. The game has more flexibility in objects placements. If you would like to try it, it can be downloaded in the App Store

### 4/5 — Very educational

*2021-03-23, version 4.6.1*

My 8 & 10 year olds liked it. It was stimulating

### 4/5 — Still looking for ‘incredible machine’

*2021-01-12, version 4.6.1*

This comes close, but still not free to move parts anywhere you want. Graphics are very nice. Pleasant diversion from life for a few minutes

### 4/5 — Timing

*2020-09-20, version 4.6.1*

Some levels seemed deceptively easy but as I reached the higher levels timing played a significant role

### 4/5 — Too many ads

*2020-08-15, version 4.6.1*

An after every two puzzles

### 4/5 — A lot of fun

*2018-12-02, version 4.3.4*

The puzzles are fun if a little uneven in difficulty. I’m up to stage 3 and there doesn’t seem to be an increase in complexity. I like playing it still

### 4/5 — Fun but Simple

*2018-11-26, version 4.3.4*

A little simplistic. Asked for review 19 levels in. Don’t know if the difficulty ramps up more quickly as you get deeper into the game.

### 4/5 — Great fun

*2018-11-08, version 4.3.4*

An easy game to rest your mind. It makes you focus on the tactical challenge of the game while the back of your mind collates other work. I would give it 5 stars but for the annoying TOO LOUD commercials.

### 4/5 — Make this better

*2018-03-28, version 3.7*

This is fun but when I am at 100 it dies the levels all over again but the levels keep going up but it’s supposed to get harder

### 4/5 — Advancing is the reward

*2018-03-11, version 3.6.1*

It’s good, seems logical. Luck is also a factor in winning a level and there is no reward in terms of on-screen visuals afterward. Can’t speak t quality of music or sounds since sound is always off for me. Nice looking. Fun?

### 5/5 — Relaxing yet challenging

*2018-02-12, version 3.5*

The concept of the game is simple - just drop the gear and bounce it off various objects into the bucket. The challenge come in with positioning the objects so the bounces go where you need then to. What I really like about it is that the physics of the game (the bouncing) is very repeatable, and movement of the objects is pretty precise, so I've yet to find a level that seems "unsolvable".

**Developer response:** Thank you for your feedback. We are glad you enjoyed the Steampunk Puzzle Game. Starting level 209 levels become even more advanced and challenging. Thanks for playing Steampunk Puzzle.

### 5/5 — Great game

*2018-01-31, version 3.4.3*

I enjoy trying to figure out just the right combination to work. Sometimes it is random but even then there is a method.

## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — Bugs galore

*2022-11-06, version 4.6.1*

First of all this is NOT a puzzle game - more of a game of chance. You drop a ring, it hits a fan, fan spins at random speed, throwing the ring randomly,...... you get the picture.

Worse, tgere is so many bugs in this app, that it can compete with the Windows for a first prize.

Too bad, the idea is pretty good and design is nice...

### 1/5 — Not fun

*2017-12-13, version 3.2.1*

Some levels you just have to get stuff out of the way. I skipped to the last puzzle and won it in 7 tries by just dropping the ball at different times and leaving it to chance. I was hoping for fans that would blow the ball, contraptions to move it, etc. it mostly just move some stuff and luck. Deleted the game.

### 2/5 — Could be a great game

*2022-03-25, version 4.6.1*

Good idea. It is a fun game, but it is very buggy. Crashes often. You inconsistent game play. I still play with the bugs, but my patience is wearing thing.

### 2/5 — 99% luck.

*2021-03-12, version 4.6.1*

This game is kind of crappy. You don’t get to design your own solution to the puzzles. You can sometimes move some designated sliding pieces out of the way and then just press a button to drop the ball. 99% of the game is watching a ball bounce around randomly.

### 2/5 — Not Incredible

*2018-05-29, version 4.3.3*

If you’re expecting the quality or level of thought found in the old Incredible Machine games, you will be very disappointed. The elements on each level are offered up almost at random, with no a-ha moments to be found. Often you can ignore some or most of the elements, and often luck, caused by moving elements, is crucial. Pretty disappointing.

### 2/5 — Better thought needed

*2017-12-19, version 3.3.1*

Some of the puzzles are just random hit the ball until it drops into the tank. The one that requires the screen to be moved just not functional and does not make sense. Sometimes the screen would not respond and other times it was very slow. Moving it up and down to just the bumpers is impossible because you cannot plan anything. When you can’t see what you’re doing it doesn’t make sense. Fortunately I could just skip the puzzle as it was not even fun. It could be a reasonably good time waster if you didn’t hit frustrating levels that did not function well.

### 2/5 — Mixed

*2017-12-15, version 3.3*

Most levels are interesting but the ones where you cannot see the whole puzzle does not make sense. Then there us the whole moving up and down if the screen. It's very hard on the eyes. Each puzzle should be seen in one screen only not scrolling screens.
Maybe it's an iPad thing.

### 4/5 — Good. But not as good as the incredible machine

*2023-01-01, version 4.6.1*

Great that it can be played with one hand though!

### 4/5 — Enjoyable but a bit repetitive

*2022-10-06, version 4.6.1*

I’ve done over 200 levels and like playing between or during tv shows. Different levels often use the same elements (not that I could do better designing them) and sometimes the level takes pure luck to complete (I prefer skill). Thank you for the Skip Level option. Good about having few ads. Overall it’s a fun puzzle.

### 4/5 — Good mindless amusement …

*2022-08-08, version 4.6.1*

while watching mostly mindless TV. Good graphics and fast pace between levels.

## Most praised reviews (10 highest-rated)

### 5/5 — Entertaining

*2022-12-29, version 4.6.1*

Some puzzles require thinking. Many are pure luck as there is no way to predict the movements of the objects.

### 5/5 — Definitely worth it

*2022-09-11, version 4.6.1*

This game is so fun and entertaining I played this all the way day and night

### 5/5 — Fun to play

*2019-01-27, version 4.3.4*

Makes you think

### 5/5 — Challenging and Fun

*2019-01-20, version 4.3.4*

The game is similar to a pool game concept. It is enjoyable and relaxing to pass the time away. No ads.

### 5/5 — Good Game

*2018-07-02, version 4.3.3*

Love the concept of this game, sometimes it is to easy the level but in general it is fun

### 5/5 — 😒

*2018-05-26, version 4.3.3*

Only rated to get levels

### 5/5 — fun on the bounce

*2018-05-03, version 4.0*

This is a fun game to play when you have some free time. Excellent App

### 5/5 — I dig the game

*2018-05-01, version 4.0*

It’s honestly a cool game to throw a couple minutes at. It’s just, as a physics based game it seems inconsistent sometimes from turn to turn. If I drop a ball and it pings off a brick, you'd think it’d ping the same each time, each turn, if nothing else has changed on that level. You can’t really fine tune multiple bricks to get that ball to the hole if theres an inconsistent hit right off the first brick.

### 5/5 — Very challenging

*2018-04-11, version 4.0*

Fun without being boring. Not too many ads

### 5/5 — Brilliant!!

*2018-03-28, version 3.6.1*

Very interesting concept! I could spend hours playing this game. Keeps my brain thinking. Definitely five stars
