I've been using this app since it came out. When I saw there was an app version, I wanted it, too. It’s great to have a copy of the companion book on my phone so I don't have to carry it with me in addition to the cards. And I can do a reading or study the cards on the fly. The app is super easy to use. There is a good variety of it spreads and cloths. While I like some of the cards a little better than others, there are no cards that I don’t like. The cards are fantastic and also good representations of the meanings. The journaling is great for keeping track of your readings and I really like that you can email them. And being able to enter an outside reading is a great feature. I’m new to tarot, but my readings have been insightful and helpful. Having a wider knowledge of tarot in general would help you get a more exact reading, but this deck is RWS based and a great place to start. I liked this app so much I also got the Tarot of Trees and the Zircus Magi apps and will definitely be getting the Tarot of Trees physical deck. Thanks ### 5/5 — A friend gifted me the steam punk Tarot deck *2017-07-04* I wanted to learn more about reading tarot and looked for an app to my surprise some company had made an app with the steam punk tarot theme. Luckily the writers were more to the point with the card interpretations the book that came with the physical tarot cards went on and on about the people and artwork on the cards and was full of nothing but a Wind bag writer. So thankful to have the app I still love the physical cards they are great for parties and ice breakers the artwork is beautiful and thanks to the creator of the deck. I suggest someone help the creator of the physical deck edit the book for future updates they could add a Victorian flair without being so wordy and sticking with more direct interpretation of the cards. I felt I had to reference other sources to learn about the cards and their meanings and this app was perfect. Was glad to see it in a more portable app version, so I don't always have to trudge my beautiful cards around & risk them being ruined. It's funny, because I would've expected to have a different feel with the app, being like they're 2 literally different decks, but it's as if the energy of my physical deck transferred to the app as well! :) Over all, I enjoy the app; the various spreads it offers are quite neat. & the different ways to customize are a nice touch! I updated some of the other apps from the same company, BUT this app now crashes when I tap "Journal" - so it is now down from Five stars to One. Can't use it. --------------- I already had this book and deck, and wouldn't ordinarily pay twice for the same product, but I made an exception for this! Aly Fell's images are so compelling. I buy decks for the art, so this was important to me. ### 1/5 — Loved Fools Dog Until... *2018-01-22, version 2.0.2* The journal function no longer works for any of my Fools Dog apps. My only niggle is that on my iPhone I can choose the cards from the spread but on the iPad where there's more room I take them from the pile. Just one thing: I wish these explanations were complete in that they included the meanings when cards are reversed. I know many folks use different layouts without reversed cards, but I like the additional subtlety it can give.
