## What is Steel Guide?

The Structural Steel Detailing Guide app gives you immediate and offline access to wide flange detailing dimensions and shape data, provided by the American Institute of Steel Construction (AISC), at www.aisc.org/shapesdatabase.

Simply search the W-shape by specific name (i.e. W12x26) -or- search by nominal height (i.e. W12) and swipe left/right to scroll through the database. Available dimensions and values are clearly displayed onscreen in a detailed diagram.

Section modulus, moment of inertia, and plastic section modulus values are included.

All information in this app is for general information only and should not be used without examination and verification by a profession engineer.
