## What is Steel Log?

Steel Log is a fast, no-nonsense workout tracker built for lifters.

LOG IN SECONDS
• Ghost values show last session's numbers — confirm a set in one tap
• Lightning-fast set logging, RPE support, warm-up/failure/drop set types
• Rest timer with lock-screen alerts, plate calculator, supersets
• Got it wrong? Edit any workout after it's logged — sets, date, notes and all

YOUR HISTORY, YOUR DATA
• Import your complete history from Hevy or Strong (CSV) — every workout, no caps
• Export everything as CSV or JSON anytime, free
• Workouts left "Off" stay on your iPhone and are never posted

CHALLENGES
• Compete with friends on total volume or workouts logged, over any dates you choose
• Invite people you follow, or share a six-character code
• Or make it public — anyone can find it and join in
• Everyone's logged workouts count automatically. No check-ins, no extra step

COMMUNITY
• Share workouts, follow lifters, like and comment on posts
• New workouts share with followers by default — change who sees it, or turn it off, right on the save screen
• Private accounts, blocking, muting and reporting are all built in

TRACK REAL PROGRESS
• Automatic PR detection: heaviest weight, best estimated 1RM, rep records
• Full workout history with search and calendar view
• Records for every exercise, 1,300+ exercises with demonstration GIFs plus custom exercises
• Progress photos, kept behind Face ID, and a home-screen widget

WORKS WITH YOUR IPHONE
• Siri and Shortcuts: start a routine, log a set or finish a workout by asking
• Apple Watch companion, Apple Health, and a lock-screen rest timer

STEEL PRO (optional subscription)
• Ask your training data — an on-device coach that reads your real history to answer questions, review a routine, or call a deload. Runs entirely on iPhone with Apple Intelligence; nothing is sent anywhere
• Automatic progression rules — the app suggests your next weights
• Advanced statistics, muscle heatmap, RPE insights and weekly reports
• Cardio analytics — weekly volume, pace trends, and distance records
• Body measurements beyond weight, gym equipment profiles

Logging and history are free forever. Steel Pro: $3.99/month, $29.99/year, or $79.99 lifetime.

## Version history (last 2 releases)

### 1.0.1 — 2026-08-06

CHALLENGES, PROPERLY
• Invite people by name instead of passing round a code — invites show up in your notifications, with Join or Ignore right there
• Public challenges: make one open to anyone, or find one to join in the new Discover tab
• Pick the exact dates a challenge runs, not just "7 days from today"
• Challenges now have their own place on Community and Home, instead of being buried

ASK YOUR TRAINING DATA (Steel Pro)
• A coach that reads your actual history: ask what to do next, have a routine reviewed, or get told when to deload
• Runs entirely on your iPhone with Apple Intelligence — nothing leaves the device

EDIT A LOGGED WORKOUT
• Fix the sets, weights, date or notes on any past workout. If you shared it, the post updates too

MORE
• Siri and Shortcuts: start a routine, log a set or finish a workout by asking
• Attach photos to a workout from the finish screen
• Notifications now live on Home as well as Community
• A new tab bar, and the iOS 26 look on the surfaces that float over your content
• Tell the app what's at a new gym, and exercise search ranks by what people actually lift

FIXED
• Cancelling or discarding a workout no longer leaves it in Apple Fitness, and workouts no longer appear there twice
• Activity no longer offers to follow people you already follow
• Restoring a backup into existing history settles PR badges correctly
• Assisted and timed sets survive the workout editor
• Headers across the app no longer sit too far down the screen
