*2011-08-06, version 1.900*

Does exactly what it says it does. Really enjoy flipping through this app than the AISC manual.

### 5/5 — Lots to like

*2011-08-05*

I like the app a lot. I am a piping designer. I have changed my mind on the menu system. It works great. I can find shapes based on any property.
Likes: price, multiple catalogs.

Thanks for updating. Keep it up!!!

### 5/5 — Great App!

*2011-07-05, version 1.870*

Throw away your old and outdated books. This a great app for both field and office. A must for anyone involved with metal fabrication.

### 4/5 — Good quick tool

*2011-04-07, version 1.870*

### 5/5 — As handy as the wheel

*2011-04-05, version 1.870*

Just like the iPhone made me excited to not have to carry both my phone and my iPod around with me, this app means I can leave my profile reference wheel at home. This is very handy. Thanks.

### 4/5 — Shapes data galore

*2011-01-17, version 1.860*

I use this app on a regular basis but find myself still referring to the physical steel handbook as this only contains shapes. Please update with flat stock options so I can get away from paper documents.
All in all this is a great app to have for your pocket while in the field or in the office.

## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — For a salvage diver or structural fabricator

*2012-04-11*

This is absolutely the best, smartest app. I've seen or purchased. Do you know how many $70. - $150. books I own? Well times and technology is surely changing. This is a really good app. It took me a couple of minutes to go through the various function. All the functions work! That's amazing. And that's an over used word.

### 3/5 — So convenient!

*2020-08-05*

Great app! Love it

**Developer response:** Could you try deleting & reinstalling the app once? I have this issue before once. If it doesn't fix it, please contact me at dhomes@gmail.com and i'll help you figuring the issue out

### 3/5 — Gage ref

*2019-10-16*

after the latest update, the gage ref is blank. must be a glitch.

### 3/5 — App

*2012-01-26*

Good app plenty of info. Not good if in australia steel different names and sizes. Only for America

### 3/5 — A good start

*2011-01-07, version 1.860*

Here are my suggestions:
-more shapes ie flats, rounds, bars, plates etc.
-I know the app is called steel but it would be awesome if there could be a material choice as well aluminum & stainless would be cool.
- more user friendly interface- instead of having to scroll through the big list.
- a list if structural hardware
- an idea of current U.S. pricing.
- updated images, current ones are a little fuzzy.

If I could build an app that's what I'd put in it, wishful thinking I know but would be super cool.

### 3/5 — Good data base

*2010-07-22, version 0*

This app is a good data base. It has the tables w/o any design formulas or calculation capability.

### 4/5 — Multi function would be great

*2021-02-26*

It would help if you can use fraction dimensions and not all decimal units
For example stead of using 1.25 you can use 1”1/4

### 4/5 — Great product

*2013-02-22, version 2.5.0*

I have been using this software for some time now. I find it very useful as a quick reference

### 4/5 — Steel

*2012-09-06, version 1.952*

This is an extremely useful app, well worth the price, and highly recommended to any designer.

### 4/5 — Good app

*2012-06-26, version 1.952*

Nice to be able to look at previous editions and historic sections.

### 5/5 — Dont forget the AISC

*2021-11-19*

With this app and the AISC downloaded as a PDF you are good to go for iron.

### 5/5 — Must have!

If you’re in the steel business then you need this app. I use it everyday and is always coming in handy on jobs and in meetings. I’d give it 6 stars if it was possible.

The only thing it's missing would be the equations from the aisc book. Otherwise I recommend this app to all my friends in school.
