A good thing to have would be buying stuff like that and even shields you can activate with in game currency. Being able to buy different weapons to defend with that can last a certain amount of time per round (ex: laser) or are permanent upgrades (ex: a faster shooting gun) This paired with scenery changes for harder stages in the car chase would really be more engaging and fun. Even making it so there are more lanes or less lanes based on difficulty would be super cool.
