## What is Steerage?

Recognise navigation lights, day shapes, and sound signals quickly and confidently.

Steerage is an image-first COLREGS study trainer for RYA Day Skipper and Yachtmaster revision, maritime cadets, USCG rules-of-the-road candidates, and boaters refreshing essential knowledge. Accurate light patterns are generated from a rules-based model and shown from ahead, astern, port, and starboard aspects.

Use spaced-repetition flashcards for daily practice, run timed 10-question quizzes, compare commonly confused displays, and track readiness and weak areas. Concise rule summaries and International/US Inland notes explain each answer without turning practice into a dense rule-book browser.

The free starter deck includes core lights, manoeuvring signals, and encounter rules. A single lifetime in-app purchase unlocks the complete 200+ card pool, every focused quiz mode, day shapes, sound signals, and the full vessel catalog. No subscription and no ads.
