It is a fun game to a point with a huge learning curve because the game does not tell you how to advance or do anything for that matter. You must go to their discord or third party sites to figure out how to play and advance the only option is to fork out huge amounts of cash to be the top dog. You either spend big or don’t bother your $20 will not get you anywhere. **Developer response:** Hello. You don’t have to pay, but buying some things will make the game easier. You can complete the entire game without spending a cent. I want to field an entire fleet of ships all sizes instead of a few ships. ### 4/5 — Pretty good. Major update bug. *2025-08-15* Pretty fun game. Not too boring. Easy enough missions, but not “push a button” easy. Calling it an “RPG” is kinda misleading, as it’s clearly not a role playing game, but the term has been so over used and it’s meaning so destroyed that I can’t much blame you. However, there is one, major, pressing issue! The most recent update, which I received about 1-2 days before writing this, has made it impossible to collect daily, weekly, or monthly mission milestone rewards, because of this missions and the progress bar overlapping. Please fix this!! Regarding future improvements: maybe add a custom game mode where the player can choose the enemies, their own ships, etc. This would allow players to test ships before getting them, and alleviate the boredom some players seem to be complaining of. **Developer response:** Hello. Setting is pretty, graphics are okay, nothing super grand, but definitely some appealing ship models. Keep it up! Uncomplicated and I appreciate that there is no territory I have to hold. I can just have spaceships and watch pretty lasers and cool missiles. Sure there is a lot you can do but it’s still an idle game. You have to have patience just to let the resources stack up and upgrade stuff. That being said, I still get great entertainment out of it and watching the space battles is a fantastic time killer. It does have in app purchases but unless it’s a ship you really want the other stuff can be ignored. Honestly nothing stops you from having a great time without spending any money but everyone knows there are going to be those that do. In regards to that, arena battles against other players allows you to pick who to fight and you can see what your up against beforehand so you can avoid anything that you think is gonna wreck your fleet. Battles are neat looking but with auto you quickly lose the thrill of watching the fight. I just crank the speed and hope I burn enemies faster than they burn me. the game is pretty stingy with rewards. Very few draws come naturally so it’ll be a slow burn for and f2p. Cannot even grind the same mission for resources, so have to buy them to advance or wait a day or more for idle system to gather enough resources. 4. Ship characteristics do not reflect the damage they cause. 5. Every game mechanic follows the same boring idle system. Can only play this game every 24 hours. For 5 minutes. Otherwise have to indulge in buying resources. I have also found that my account is missing. I tried to recover it. I’ve done the password reset I’ve reinstalled the app onto my phone and my computer and nothing happens. I get some error, but without being able to contact the developer, I don’t know what to do. I am at this point. There’s lots of ships with different strengths and weaknesses, making no single ship the most powerful, requiring a good lineup to make your fleet effective. The battle ai is very well done, making battles interesting to watch, even the one just on the main screen. The payed aspects aren’t shoved in your face, they’re just kinda there and off to the side, which always gets a good rating from me. And the fact that you can still play parts of the game offline is a huge win. To anyone who took the time to read this review, I would definitely recommend giving this game a try. I like the ship progression and that it is far from all the other pay to play games. This game is very unique and that keeps me coming back and downloading it… I like the additions in the past couple years, like the base system which reminds me a lot of another game… one that is way too complicated, time consuming, and lacks the rewards that Stellar Wind has, the only thing i would like to see is more of a carrier system, i would like to see drones as a ship weapon that help defend cruisers against fighters, and i think anyone would like to see a bigger class like battlecruiser or battleship. I love the 3D art style and I’d love to see more ships get added and have more armor sets.
