### 3/5 — new updates kinda useless

*2026-08-22, version 3.2.0*

so the new Insights are useless. you get notifications you have an insight when they are unchanged. and they always refer to “yesterday”
usually it is the day before yesterday. could it at least refer to the actual day or date? at least if it isn’t updated you’ll know.

STELO BOT IS USELESS. There is no conversation. just AI RESPONSES. This was a COMMENT ON THE NEW APP NOT AN ISSUE WITH AN ORDER. HOW ABOUT a REAL PERSON acknowledge the app issue?!

### 3/5 — Good and bad

*2026-08-21, version 3.2.0*

The monitor is very helpful even if it isn’t a perfectly accurate read because it is still helpful to monitor how you’re eating is impacting your blood sugar. However, I’m constantly experiencing connection issues with the app. And using the bot to problem solve has been extremely irritating and difficult. Reconsidering renewing my subscription due to this.

### 2/5 — Too dark

*2026-08-20, version 3.2.0*

New design is too dark, hard to read. Also when logging in food info the AI gets it wrong. It would be nice if there were a favorites tab where you could easily enter a meal that you often eat without having to reenter the whole thing. Also again the darkness of it is very off putting and hard to see and the AI bot is negative in its comments without having all the information

### 3/5 — New App is too Dark

*2026-08-20, version 3.2.0*

I like some of the new functionalities of the new app. But it’s just too stinking dark. Is there a setting for LIGHT mode. If not please give us one.

Also customer service is not good. You can only communicate with a bot that seems to be lacking in artificial intelligence.

Follow up:
Been using the new app for several weeks now and still I Do Not like it. Funny enough I left Lingo and went back to Stelo because I liked the Stelo app better. Can’t say that anymore.

### 2/5 — Terrible customer service

*2026-08-17, version 3.2.0*

The app itself is okay. But I would get lots of bad reading and sessions ending early and this company is zero help when something goes wrong and it did a lot. If you do have an issue make sure you document everything and report it immediately. Apparently they are not able to see your info in the app as to when there was a problem and so they expect you to gather everything and fill out multiple forms to report issues and each report is quite time consuming. Most of the AI or live chat help sends you in circles

### 1/5 — Huge decrease in usefulness after update

*2026-08-17, version 3.2.0*

I was very happy with the app and monitor until this recent update. Suddenly it's much harder to quickly see how i'm doing, and have much less flexibility in how i view my stats. The ever present AI coach is also less than useful and hard to hide.
This all makes me much less enthusiastic about this method of monitoring my glucose.
*After a few more weeks with this radical up date of the app I can say it’s even less useful than i realized when I first criticized it. Makes me wonder if the whole stelo system is worth paying for anymore. I can't monitor my glucose very well at all anymore. And apparently all the responses to all the bad reviews they've been getting are from AI so no human at the company will know about all this negative feedback.

### 2/5 — Inconsistent accuracy

*2026-08-17, version 3.2.0*

App has cool features but the readings can be off. I have mixed feelings about whether it’s helping me or not.

### 3/5 — Inaccurate

*2026-08-17, version 3.2.0*

I have been doing finger pricks along side using this when I’m skeptical. It’s always 10pts off of finger prick reading. I don’t feel that I’m able to reliably monitor my blood sugar.

### 3/5 — Changes needed

*2026-08-16, version 3.2.0*

I thought by now you guys would have listened to your customers and added more numbers and lines to the graph and make the numbers larger and maybe add some color coding to each section. Ie. Green background on the graph for in the zone, yellow and red etc. These aren’t hard things. Also, the sensors are not waterproof and you should tell people they will likely malfunction if you get them wet because that’s the reality. Otherwise thanks for a decent, not great product!

### 1/5 — App doesn’t work

*2026-08-16, version 3.2.0*

This app stopped tracking after 2 hours.

### 4/5 — Good but….

*2026-08-16, version 3.2.0*

Generally a simple little app that does what it is supposed to do But the AI “insights” are trivial and annoying. “You should get more sleep”. Yes. Yes, I should thank you. Other than that, the app is fine.

### 1/5 — Update ruined the UI

*2026-08-15, version 3.2.0*

I don’t like the oversimplification of the graph using averages when you go above 12 hrs. I use the 24 hr chart to track my patterns and this update ruins it. I like seeing each individual tested data point. Not an average per hour. Now it looks like the Apple Health tracker. There is no need to open Stelo and just look at the Apple Health tracker instead. I haven’t decided if it’s worth using Stelo since the information has become unreadable to me.

### 1/5 — Constantly complains about lack of storage

*2026-08-14, version 3.2.0*

I don’t see how this is any better than the old app. It is constantly notifying me about lack of storage on my phone to the point that I’m offloading apps and freeing up a couple of GB’s of storage a couple of times a day

### 2/5 — Wildly different readings between sensors

*2026-08-13, version 3.2.0*

The first sensor seem to have fairly accurate readings. I double checked them with a standard finger prick glucose monitor. but when I installed the second sensor, the readings were wildly different from the first sensor. I cannot recommend this product.

### 2/5 — New version terrible

*2026-08-13, version 3.2.0*

The latest upgrade is awful. The graph by which one tracks BG live has been ruined — changes to a vertically compressed screen space that makes it hard to see trends within the normal range

### 1/5 — New app sucks

*2026-08-13, version 3.2.0*

Every time you people update your app you make it worse now we got this stupid AI is always in our face. You can’t keep the stupid timeframe in one place that keeps moving around three hours to 24 hours and you can’t even keep it there. it just changes by itself. This thing sucks get rid of it and bring me back the the one before the last one because it was better than the previous one every time you guys upgrade you make it worse

### 3/5 — AI coaching needs some work

*2026-08-13, version 3.2.0*

I’ve been using this less than 24 hours. It’s fascinating watching my glucose levels vary after various activities. I tried a couple of chats with the Coach and I can already tell it’s not ready for prime time. I asked if it was normal to see a spike when my alarm goes off. It said it didn’t see a spike. I said, “What about 5:30am. “Oh, that spike. What might you have been doing at that time?” “Ummm.., my alarm went off.” I tried another question and it asked what I might have eaten. I had logged my meal, so what the heck?? There have already been a few of those type of interactions. I hope it’s better at interpreting results but I’m not hopeful.

### 2/5 — Bad User Interface

*2026-08-12, version 3.2.0*

Most people get this to get their Continuous Glucose Meter displayed to see spikes. I like to see the graph as 6 or 24 hours with the phone sideways to see more data. This app fails on that.
I have had about 3 out 10 sensors that are up to 30 points higher than a finger prick meter.
For the $100/month out of pocket is not worth the money.
It got 2 stars because I don’t have prick my fingers. Likely will try other brand.

## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — Doesn’t load

*2026-08-23, version 3.2.0*

Exciting that there’s a new app but unfortunate that it won’t open on my iPhone.

### 1/5 — Redesign is user-unfriendly

*2026-08-23, version 3.2.0*

Please, please help those of us who preferred original design to revert back to it. I truly can hardly read my range, am missing 1 hr overview, and am altogether struggling with new and not-improved visuals. Please! I was so grateful to have this monitor and the original app.

### 1/5 — Good product-worst app ever

*2026-08-22, version 3.2.0*

The sensor when you can pair it is good. The problem is the app. It’s the worst. Pairing could go smooth or a nightmare. Not sure why this hasn’t been resolved yet. Hate that oura only pairs with this.

### 1/5 — If I could give zero stars I would!

*2026-08-22, version 3.2.0*

This has been a very frustrating experience so far, and I have tried using these now for about six months! I am about to switch to a different brand because these have continual issues. The readings are wildly inaccurate compared to my fingerstick test, often showing readings around 99 went in real life, my blood glucose is showing by fingerstick test to be 156 or higher. The app constantly has issues, the hardware has issues, I frequently get messages saying there has been a temporary issue and to check back three hours later, and after three hours it has not rectified itself, so I do not get readings during those times. The adhesive often comes off before the length of time of the lifespan of the device, and very often it stops doing correct (or any readings) before the end period. I understand that it is going to be somewhat different than the fingerstick test and that there is a margin percentage of error, but these fall very far outside of those lines. The only thing that this is actually been helpful for, is showing me how much my glucose does or does not rise after certain things that I eat. But as far as keeping an accurate, safe count of what my glucose actually is, it does not work. I didn't even realize it was so far off until I had blood work done and it showed my A1c was still too high, in spite of my CGM app and monitor showing that it had been well within range 96% to 100% of each day for several months! So I started comparing it to a stick test, and discovered that the Stelo CGM is anywhere from 40 to 80 points lower than what the stick test actually shows! Do not rely on this for medical safety! And while I appreciate the company reaching out to me to tell me how to reach their customer service, that doesn't work either. You can't ever reach a human being, it only does their little robot, and then you get a message saying to fill out a form, which I have done numerous times, and then the solution is either that they closed the request out or they send you another sensor. No human being ever actually replies, and they just keep sending emails saying to fill out a form, but filling it out does not resolve the issue.

### 1/5 — Annoying problems

*2026-08-21, version 3.2.0*

Ever since the recent update, this app is very glitchy. I’m getting notifications about meals I had yesterday. I tsp the notification and it opens a blank page. I’ll enter a meal and it disappears. The spinner for the time is glitchy.

### 1/5 — Not worth downloading

*2026-08-21, version 3.2.0*

Wait for the next version.

### 1/5 — Doesn’t work

*2026-08-18, version 3.2.0*

Please don’t buy it doesn’t sync. I am going to ask for refund

### 1/5 — Doesn’t work

*2026-08-18, version 3.2.0*

This won’t even connect to my Dexcom, so there’s definitely some updating that needs to be done for this to be a much more useful app

### 1/5 — Don’t bother

*2026-08-17, version 3.2.0*

I tried the sensor at the beginning of the year and had constant errors and couldn’t get a solution so I stopped using it. I tried again this month since I had three sensors left. I kept getting error messages and I was just sitting at my desk. I wasn’t pressing on it or far from my app.

### 1/5 — Stelo sensor does not pair.

*2026-08-17, version 3.2.0*

I have already used two sensors and after speaking with a representative I was told to insert a third. Meanwhile they will review my case to see if I can get replacements for these sensors. The new format of the app is also does not give the last 24 hour glucose level like the old app. Some times updates aren’t always the best idea.

## Most praised reviews (10 highest-rated)

### 5/5 — Great and inexpensive solution

*2026-08-20, version 3.2.0*

I used Stelo to monitor my glucose temporarily. Stelo provided peace of mind for us. We used it for a few months and then canceled after concluding that my glucose was fine. I would recommend their product and the app for its connectivity capabilities to the device.

### 5/5 — Only drawback is confusing activity tracking with wrong date’s steps in calendar yesterday and prev.

*2026-08-18, version 3.2.0*

Only drawback is confusing activity tracking with wrong date’s steps in calendar yesterday and prev.

### 5/5 — Worthless upgrade

*2026-08-11, version 3.2.0*

This new upgrade is garbage. Stelo relies entirely on AI which has led to an awful user experience. There is too much AI info on a dark and busy screen. My glucose results were very inaccurate as compared to fingerstick results-between 20-60 point difference. Will never buy Stelo again until prior app is restored.

### 5/5 — Consider the elderly

*2026-08-04, version 3.2.0*

Please consider the elderly when reimagining your app. Some would probably prefer to use the classic app that is familiar to them. My mother started crying because she couldn’t figure out how to use your new platform

### 5/5 — Updated Review

*2026-08-03, version 3.2.0*

Updated Review: (from 1 stars to 5 stars)

New Review:

The number of changes for the last update felt a little overwhelming. Nonetheless, I’m starting to get used to the app, and I see the value of the changes that were made

In all fairness, Stelo is a game changer. In the six months that I’ve been using it, my A1C is not only under control, but I have lost quite a few pounds, and I’ve been able to maintain a healthier weight. Insulin resistance has decreased after losing some visceral fat.

Log everything that you eat, and you’ll learn what foods and/or quantities work best for you. You’ll also be able to see the importance of walking right after each meal.

The best part is that over time, these healthy lifestyle changes become part of your routine.

**Developers: Please add ‘medication’ to the entry log (like with the G7 app). It helps for determining if certain medications or taking it at certain times make a difference—important for Clarity reports.

Old Review:

This is in reference to the app update that released on 7/24/26

The Stelo app used to lack many features compared to the G7 app. However, it was more intuitive than the recent update, which has more AI features (overkill). They packed too many changes in a single update. It’s loaded with too much visual information. The log is now grouped, so we can no longer see all entries at first glance. I have logged some meals more than once (duplicates) since I couldn’t find the original entry. Please, keep it simple.

At least, make the dashboard customizable. Like with widgets, allow the user to determine what relevant information they want to see.

### 5/5 — Worth every cent

*2026-08-02, version 3.2.0*

I give the Stelo a well-deserved 5 stars.

Although I’m over 66 years old, I still participate in endurance and extreme sports. Knowing my blood glucose before, during, and after exercise is not just convenient—it’s an important part of staying safe.

For example, I may begin an open-water swim lasting about 45 minutes and then immediately head out on a cycling session of more than three hours. Before I start, I need to know exactly what “fuel” I have in reserve. As a person with diabetes riding on public roads alongside often inattentive drivers, the last thing I want is an unexpected low blood sugar episode.

Stelo has taken the guesswork out of fueling my body. Instead of wondering where my blood sugar is, I know. It even helps me make better nutritional decisions. Should I eat an energy bar or a banana? The answer depends on my glucose trend, and Stelo provides that information instantly.

Pros

* Painless to apply and wear.
* Relatively cost-effective compared with many CGM options.
* Extremely convenient.
* Continuous glucose readings provide valuable insight.
* Helps identify which foods and snacks cause spikes and when it’s actually safe to snack.
* Night-time low blood sugar events have become extremely rare because I better understand my glucose patterns.
* The biggest benefit has been improved diabetes management. At my last doctor’s visit, I was told insulin was likely inevitable because my oral medication requirements kept increasing. Using the information from Stelo, along with lifestyle/diet changes, I’ve reduced my medication by about half. That has shown me that better information truly leads to better decisions.

Cons

* I would love the option of a configurable low-glucose alert during the night. That feature alone would make an excellent product even better.
* Sensors occasionally get knocked off during normal activities or sports. That’s understandable, but it does increase the overall cost of ownership.
* I experienced an unusual issue while wearing the sensor on my dominant arm. I developed brief episodes of elbow pain. I stopped wearing the sensor for a couple of weeks and exercised my hands using Baoding balls, after which the problem disappeared. I can’t say for certain the sensor caused it, but the timing suggested there may have been a connection. Since then I have continued using Stelo without significant issues.

Final Thoughts

For me, Stelo has been much more than a glucose monitor. It’s a coaching tool that has helped me make better decisions every day, improve my health, and continue enjoying an active lifestyle with greater confidence.

I recommend it without hesitation.

### 5/5 — Great for managing glucose

*2026-07-30, version 3.2.0*

I tried the other brand for six months and switched to the Stelo. I have been using it now for 5 months and have been very pleased with the quality and results it delivers along with helpful insights into what I’m doing right and what I can improve upon. My A1C has improved from 11 to under 6 now that I’m using the CGM and app. Since the app update a couple days ago, I have noticed frequent problems with the CGM where it will disconnect for an hour or so at a time throughout the day. I don’t know if this is a problem with the particular CGM or if it is a problem with the new updated app. I’ll apply a new sensor in 3 days and see how that works out. It’s only a minor annoyance. Otherwise, the app update is great and the information is presented in an even more helpful format than it was in the previous version.

### 5/5 — New update

*2026-07-29, version 3.2.0*

The new update is excellent. I love the new feature showing glucose response after each logged meal. Very helpful.

### 5/5 — Great device and great app

*2026-07-29, version 3.2.0*

Being prediabetic, this helps me track what food and activities are doing to my glucose level. I love how I can take photos of food to get an idea of what I’m taking in, then seeing the after affect on my glucose. Also ties in my exercise and activity for the day. Don’t need other fitness or food tracking apps anymore. This integrates both, and ties them to my glucose level. App is sleek! Not sure why others have connectivity issues, I have had none of that

### 5/5 — App is fantastic, learn the basics of glucose levels

*2026-07-16*

The app is doing exactly what it’s supposed to do. It tracks my bgl and it’s easy to see how my eating, movement, and sleep affect me.

What this app is NOT - CGM don’t measure your current blood glucose. They are about 15 minutes behind what’s in your finger. They measure in what’s called the interstitial fluid. Also, the app updates every 15 minutes. So when you see a bgl from 14 minutes ago, that’s really from 29 minutes ago. This is why this software is not for T1. If your bgl is in flux so much that it could kill you, go to an endo and get the dexcom7 prescribed for you. It’s literally the same hardware but with prescriptive software and firmware for people who are insulin dependent. It updates every 5 minutes, putting the largest gap between your current bgl and the sensor bgl at 19 minutes instead of 29.
This isn’t a defect and all the sensors regardless of mfg work this way.
