## What is Step N Scroll?

Step N Scroll turns your daily steps into screen time. Choose the apps that pull you in, set a step goal, and those apps stay locked until you have earned them.

HOW IT WORKS
- Pick the apps you want to block
- Set your daily step goal
- Your chosen apps stay locked until you reach it
- Walk, and they unlock automatically

COACH
The reach for your phone is automatic, and willpower is not much of a defence against it. When you open a blocked app several times in a few minutes, Coach steps in, asks what is actually going on, and hands you a short reset instead of the feed. Over time it shows you your own patterns: what tends to trigger you, and when it hits hardest.

AI PROGRESS SCAN
See where the walking is taking you. Take a full-body photo and Step N Scroll generates a preview of your projected progress, saved so you can compare before and after as the weeks go by.

TRACK THE HABIT
- Daily streaks and a progress ring
- Weekly and monthly step history
- Calories and activity trends

SUBSCRIPTION
Step N Scroll is free to use. Your step count, daily goal, streak and app blocking — the whole loop — stay free, with no ads.

A subscription adds Coach, AI progress scans, Trends and Records, and outdoor walk recording with a route map. The yearly plan starts with a 7-day free trial - cancel any time before it ends and you are not charged. A weekly plan is also available and does not include a trial. Prices vary by region and are always shown in the app before you confirm.

Payment is charged to your Apple ID account at confirmation of purchase. Subscriptions renew automatically unless auto-renew is turned off at least 24 hours before the end of the current period, and your account is charged for renewal within 24 hours of the end of that period. You can manage or cancel your subscription at any time in your Apple ID account settings. Restore purchases is available directly on the paywall.

### 2/5 — Total ick

*2026-03-10*

I really love the concept of this app but it’s a little upsetting that it doesn’t have any free features ☹️

**Developer response:** Fair criticism, and it has changed. Blocking your chosen apps until you hit your step goal is free now, no subscription required. The subscription adds the Coach and the AI progress scans. If you give it another go, tell us how it lands at support@stepnscroll.app.

## Version history (last 5 releases)

### 3.3.7 — 2026-09-21

Setting up is simpler: you now choose the apps to block right at the start, and the app opens straight into your free plan. Plans are offered later, once you've reached your first step goal.

### 3.3.6 — 2026-09-18

Three fixes on the plans screen. If a purchase is waiting for a parent's approval, or purchases are turned off on your iPhone, the app now says so instead of "Error". The free week is checked with Apple directly, so it shows for everyone who has it. And the button always says exactly what it does.

### 3.3.5 — 2026-09-16

You can now write to us from inside the app: Profile → Help & feedback. A person reads every message, and if you're offline it waits and sends when you're back. The Scan tab now appears only for Premium members, so the tab bar shows what you can use.

### 3.3.4 — 2026-09-11

If you ever tapped "Don't Allow" on the Screen Time prompt, the app used to offer
you the same button again — and iOS never shows that prompt twice, so nothing
happened. Step N Scroll now recognises that and tells you where to turn it back
on instead.

### 3.3.3 — 2026-09-10

After choosing a plan you land on App Blocking, ready to pick your apps. Streak freezes now grow back: one for every seventh day you keep your streak. Home tells you how last week went. Award medals catch the light as you tilt your phone. Small fixes and polish.
