COACH
The reach for your phone is automatic, and willpower is not much of a defence against it. When you open a blocked app several times in a few minutes, Coach steps in, asks what is actually going on, and hands you a short reset instead of the feed. Over time it shows you your own patterns: what tends to trigger you, and when it hits hardest.

AI PROGRESS SCAN
See where the walking is taking you. Take a full-body photo and Step N Scroll generates a preview of your projected progress, saved so you can compare before and after as the weeks go by.

SUBSCRIPTION
App blocking, Coach and AI progress scans require a subscription. The yearly plan starts with a 7-day free trial - cancel any time before it ends and you are not charged. A weekly plan is also available and does not include a trial. Prices vary by region and are always shown in the app before you confirm.

Payment is charged to your Apple ID account at confirmation of purchase. Subscriptions renew automatically unless auto-renew is turned off at least 24 hours before the end of the current period, and your account is charged for renewal within 24 hours of the end of that period. You can manage or cancel your subscription at any time in your Apple ID account settings. Restore purchases is available directly on the paywall.

I really love the concept of this app but it’s a little upsetting that it doesn’t have any free features ☹️

## Version history (last 5 releases)

### 3.1 — 2026-08-24

The subscription screen now tells you what you are agreeing to before you agree to it: that the first 7 days are free, the exact date your card would be charged, the price, and how to cancel. Previously it mentioned none of this.

Closing that screen also used to register as several separate taps, which is fixed.

### 3.0 — 2026-08-20

The subscription screen used to draw itself before your plans had finished loading — which meant it could show a buy button that did nothing, or flash "plans couldn't load" for plans that arrived a moment later. It now waits and shows a loading state, so whatever you tap is the real thing.

### 2.9 — 2026-08-19

Housekeeping, mostly invisible but worth doing: the privacy policy link on the subscription screen now points to our own policy at stepnscroll.app instead of an outdated page, and we removed an analytics component the app no longer uses.

### 2.8 — 2026-08-18

Your block list now names what you actually blocked — the individual apps, the whole categories, and the websites — instead of showing an empty list over a shield that was working the whole time. Clearing it takes one tap.

This release also turns on proper crash and error reporting, so faults surface and get fixed rather than going unnoticed.

### 2.7 — 2026-08-17

Your blocked list now shows everything you blocked. If you picked whole categories — Social, Games, or "All Apps & Categories" — they were blocked correctly but the list looked empty. Categories and websites now appear alongside individual apps, and each is named for what it actually is rather than counted as an app.

Clearing your list works. Unticking everything now removes the blocks, instead of quietly leaving them in place.

Free trials are only offered when you can actually get one. Apple gives each Apple ID one trial per app, so if you have already used yours the paywall shows the plain price rather than promising a trial you would not receive.

The name step no longer blocks you — leaving it empty and continuing is fine.
