### 5/5 — Looks good but…

*2026-09-03*

App seems to have a lot of potential but I couldn’t even get started, it didn’t sync or import my steps, even after clicking Grab Latest Data and Re-sync steps, so it just says zero steps. Is there some setting I’m missing?

**Developer response:** Thanks for the kind review, and I’m sorry you couldn’t get started. Since you’ve already tried both sync options, could you check these two things?

1. Open Apple Health and search for Steps. Does it show steps for today?
2. In Apple Health, tap your profile picture → Apps / Apps and Services → Step Step. Make sure Steps is enabled under permission to read data.

After enabling access, reopen Step Step and go to Settings → Apple Health → Grab Latest Data.

If Apple Health shows steps and access is already enabled, please email me at support@step-step.app with your iOS version and whether your steps come from your iPhone, Apple Watch or another tracker. I’ll help investigate personally.

### 5/5 — Beautiful Detailed App

*2026-08-24*

This app is beautifully presented with an abundant amount of useful and thoughtfully structured data. It’s feature rich and very thorough. Excellent job by the developer and looking forward to continuing to use the app daily.

**Developer response:** I’m glad you like the design. Lots of late nights were spent moving pixels around.

### 5/5 — Finally a simple, free no ads step tracking app

*2026-08-21*

I really appreciate that this app was created to do one thing really well. Count your steps each day or track a workout without being bombarded by tons of ads. It has a nice little extras like Mission control messages to give you summaries as well as insights to see how you’re doing. If you’re looking to increase your level of fitness by focusing on this one habit of walking more, this app is a great one to try. Nice work!

• More flexible workout goals: combine activities or count any workout, exclude activities, and choose whether to count each workout or one per day.
• Improved goal calendars and progress charts, with clearer activity icons and easier navigation.
• A new Moon animation on your step ring when steps are being actively imported from Apple Health.
• Refreshed daily step widgets with a Goal Hit badge and clearer goal text.
• Updated monthly step rings to match the main dashboard.
• A simpler Pro screen with a Free vs Pro comparison table.

• Other small layout, workout-recording, and usability improvements.

Thank you for your feedback and for supporting Step Step!

### 1.4 — 2026-08-31

Version 1.4 brings new ways to share your progress, with polished cards for steps, streaks, workouts and goals.

You can now find a complete widget guide in Settings, track body fat and waist independently, and discover the new Full Moon Night medal.

We’ve also improved Apple Watch support, with new Action button support on Ultra models and improved complications that always open your daily steps.

Medals and celebrations have had a nice improvement too.

Finally, we fixed layouts for smaller iPhones such as the SE, and fixed a bunch of bugs.

Keep on Steppin'

### 1.3 — 2026-08-28

Workout notes now support rich text. Add headings, bold, lists and dividers from the format bar, and see the layout as you type.

Workout names are now translated in every language the app supports.

New "Goal Hit" share card. Capture the moment your step ring crosses 100%, in feed or story size.

Hit your step goal on the day of a full moon and you'll earn the Full Moon Night medal, with an evening reminder if you're close.

Apple Fitness+ sessions are now tagged on the workout detail screen, and you can filter for them.

Apple Watch: fixed complications that could sit on zero steps all day. Your step goal history now syncs too, so past days are scored against the goal you had that day.

Widgets and complications: the goal line now steps with your goal changes instead of drawing one flat line.

Plus translation fixes, a clearer language switcher and a simpler race time picker.

### 1.2 — 2026-08-27

Workout notes got a big upgrade. Format your notes with bold, italics, titles and bullet points, with handy formatting buttons built into the editor.

Also in this update:
- The Workouts tab now opens on the month view, a better home for your training at a glance
- Share Step Step with friends straight from Settings, and leave us a review from there too
- Clearer pricing display for all currencies
- Lots of small fixes and polish based on your feedback

Keep the feedback coming: support@step-step.app

### 1.1 — 2026-08-25

What's New in 1.1 (22)

Streaks just got more honest. Your streak now counts only the days you truly hit your step goal. Shields still protect your streak on a rest day, they just don't add to the number anymore. Your streak may look a little smaller after this update, but every day in it is one you earned.

Also in this update:

The weight card on your home screen now follows your unit setting (kg, lb, or stone)
Clearer explanations of how shields work, on the Shields page and in onboarding

Thanks for the early feedback, it shaped this whole update. Keep it coming: support@step-step.app
