## What is Step Tracker Fitness Pedometer?

StepTracker 2.0 is a modern rebuild of the original StepTracker, one of the early iPhone pedometer apps, redesigned for iOS 26.

Track your daily steps, stairs, distance, and progress with a clean dashboard built for quick check-ins. StepTracker uses iPhone motion data, with optional Apple Health integration to include Apple Watch steps when you want a more complete picture of your activity.

Stay motivated with optional Game Center leaderboards. Compete with friends or other StepTracker users around the world for the best daily step count and stair count, or turn Game Center features off if you prefer to keep things private.

StepTracker helps you track:

• Daily steps, distance, stairs climbed, and goal progress
• Active vs. still time throughout the day
• Intraday step trends and 7-day history
• Calendar-based daily history with monthly summaries

I really love this step tracking app, it’s easy to use and I love that it tracks my stairs for the day as well as my steps. It’s also fun to compete with friends every day, motivate each other and try and make it to the leaderboard!

Appears to be very good for steps. Extremely poor for stairs - or maybe us oldsters climb too slowly to register. Our stairs are 13 steps and I do them 6+ times a day but only 1 registers and usually only up - I never go down apparently

Yeah - the apple’s step count is imperfect for sure but it’s supposed to count flights not individual steps. I live on the 4th floor and I went down once and up once today and it reports 3 flights down and 3 flights up - not perfect but good enough I guess. It uses change in elevation to try to estimate the flights so the vertical distance is more important  than # of steps. I hope that helps and I hope you enjoy the new update.

I have various step tracking apps .  I like this one because it’s really clear on daily activity vs still. I also like the daily trends.  The widget is greate too .  Nothing too complicated about this app which is a positive for me .  Not sure I need a leaderboard but others might find that incentivising.

**Developer response:** Thanks! I added the leaderboards because I wanted to do something novel that Apple Fitness / Apple Watch etc do not already do. I thought that seeing how many steps others are getting might inspire you to be more active, but I also added an option to disable it in settings because some people just want privacy and minimal features.

Exceptionally useful app that I find actually more functional than the native pedometer.  I love the redesign—really modern, clean look showing exactly the data I want to see in an intuitive visualization suite.

The place that you have put the adds does not let me to click the buttons at the bottom and I am unable to click or access it as I am on mobile

**Developer response:** I understand where you're coming from, but that's kind of the point - I'm trying to encourage people to buy the $1 lifetime unlock to access the extra feature. With the unlock you get the ability to access the history button by removing the ad. The price is $1 right now and it's good for life. 

If it's too confusing maybe I will disable the history button and add a "purchase to unlock the history" banner as well, but I thought the ad placement was simpler...
