Color coded for easier identification of website. Big blocks that look license plates on a car make it easy to visualize. Only recommendation is to make the font size of the name a little bigger to find which code to use. My Step Two now has 14 sites on it. But other than that Neil, you’re doing a great job! ### 5/5 — Get this app instead of any other. *2024-07-10, version 7.0* This is genuinely the best 2FA app I’ve ever tried. The design is beautiful, the text and codes are super readable, and it just works so well. I like to find apps that use Apple’s design language because it’s something that I really enjoy, and this fits right in and almost feels like part of the OS. Truly exceptional design. There is a purchase option, but honestly it’s worth every cent to support wonderful development such as this. ### 5/5 — The only 2FA app you need for iOS *2024-06-30, version 7.0* I always set 2FA as an additional level of security on my accounts when offered and Step Two is the perfect app to take care of that when using Apple devices. It is the most visually pleasing app for this purpose and is a joy to use. It provides automatic iCloud backup of your accounts for peace of mind and integrates seamlessly with Safari when required. I also appreciate the ability to modify the account description info on the odd occasion that might be needed and of course you can both change the beautiful array of colours per entry to suit your taste if you want and sort your accounts alphabetically or manually as preferred. A modern and stylish app that means I am free of Google Authenticator’s use of my data! Es ist perfekt. Es läuft auf allen Apple Geräten inkl. Watch. Der In-App Kauf hebt die Limitierung auf und ermöglich alle Konten zu verwalten. Durch den iCloud Sync sind die Daten überall synchron und verfügbar. Mit dem Google Tool hab ich vor Jahren mal alles verloren. Horror! Hier ist das noch nie passiert. The only thing I wish this app could do is separate the auth codes by groups, this way you could have a personal group, work, and family for example. I made it work for now by adding the title of the auth codes to FAMILY, WORK, PERSONAL, then I can do a search and it filters them out by those titles, otherwise you have a huge list of auth codes to scroll through. That’s where groups or folders would be nice. That’s why I gave it 4 starts but other than that it’s awesome. There’s also an iPhone app for it so that’s a nice companion to my Mac. ### 4/5 — Love it, but… *2024-05-13, version 6.0* Thai app is a gem, truly. That’s the only worrying thing as I don’t want to get locked into any particular ecosystem. The sync between my other devices during setup was flawless and automatic. ### 5/5 — truly excellent TOTP authenticator app for Apple devices *2024-02-08, version 6.0* I needed to update from the increasingly unreliable text-based 2FA. I am ancient and relatively IT illiterate. As I am totally Apple-based, after a brief search of authenticator reviews, I opted for StepTwo. I most definitely have not regretted my decision. It is quick to set up, simple to use, utterly reliable, is beautifully designed and most of all is user-friendly across all my devices. Neil is to be congratulated on producing a truly excellent app which I commend to all (but especially those users of an older vintage who have not grown up with IT)! ### 4/5 — Awesome but.. For the past three months, every.single.attempt made to use this on accounts set up for it, absolutely none of them work. So I cannot access accounts it is attached to. Very, very frustrating, as I’ve had to to use other ways to access the information I need. If i could give this *zero* stars… or even a negative number, I would. ### 1/5 — iCloud Full? Developer laughs at the idea of this app being safe and secure. 2FA is literally a security measure and the dev does nothing to ensure that your data and keys are secure. Highly recommend other apps such as Tofu or Raido which are open source and do a far better job. Original review: Easily prefer this app over all the other players. If the dev is willing to make the code open source, I will change my rating to 5. But a closed source 2FA defeats the entire purpose. Just started using it for work and it was super convenient. Then after the update .... no more watch complication. That was the sole reason I downloaded it. Leider funktioniert die Synchronisation über iCloud nicht. Daher habe ich keine Codes die auf dem Mac gespeichert wurden unterwegs. Auf der Arbeit konnte ich mich nicht in meine Programme einloggen und musste Kunden Termine absagen. Sehr nervig ist auch das ich keine Ahnung habe wie ich meine Codes in eine neue App transferiert bekomme. Überlegt es euch gut für welche App ihr euch entscheidet. Diese hier ist es sicherlich nicht. Well, this was the app. Once you see the code you want a simple click and it's ready to be pasted into the browser or app. It's worth the price just for that! ### 5/5 — Simple, Delightful, and “just works” *2026-05-12, version 8.0* I’ve been using this app for my 2FA codes for a few years now and I have no complaints. The UX is simple and delightful. It stores my 2FA codes which are also synced via iCloud so I can access the codes via the app on my computer. It does what it’s supposed to do. And best of all, no subscription! When I needed to store more than 10 2FA codes I paid the one time purchase for unlimited codes. No bloat, no unnecessary features - just excellent 2FA that works exactly as it should. ### 5/5 — Clean, Easy, Integrated, Worth it. *2025-06-26, version 7.2* As someone who (1) is very irritated by having to do MFA, and (2) has gone through a couple in search of the least abrasive one, Step Two is in the all-time favorites for my apple devices. Everything is simple to look at, big without being clunky, and copies just by tapping the numbers. I don’t have to look at or click through anything I don’t want to. It syncs seamlessly, and the Apple Watch integration is a godsend. My one request would be further integration with the Shortcuts app, or some optional keybinding - a shortcut to automatically copy a pre-set account would truly make this perfect.
