The reason why I think it needs work is there needs to be richer filters, and a way for users and curators to leave some kind of rating or review of step locations. Just because the location was stepped doesn’t mean it’s actually worth checking out. ### 2/5 — Good idea, poor execution *2025-09-01* This could be a sort of “Goodreads/Letterboxd for food” where you can follow influential critics etc and see recommendations - what it actually is is just a list of restaurants that the people you follow (some at a cost) have ticked, with no context, rating, ranking or review attached. You also pay a monthly subscription for certain people (eg. Topjaw) only to access substantially less information than in their free video content elsewhere. Their online info about cancelling payments is also still incorrect as per the previous commenter here. ### 1/5 — Can’t unsubscribe *2025-01-07* I have emailed six times, looked everywhere I can and they keep debiting me a fee. I’ve had to resort to cancelling my credit card and reporting them to consumer affairs to stop their charges. Do not recommend. Do not subscribe ### 1/5 — Clunky, slow, buggy *2025-01-05* Can’t report all the issues through the app because..I don’t know why. One of many things that have drove me to give up on this app. Can’t search for anything, nothing loads, doesn’t show me anything in new locations, and if anything does load, it takes an obscene amount of time. ### 1/5 — Very slow loading time *2025-01-05* I like the idea of this app but it always takes so long to load, I updated to the latest version and the problem still persists. Log in is extremely slow on both iPad and iPhone; when logged in, the content loads slowly or not at all; my Profile won;t load. Not on my Apple subscription list and no way to cancel the subscription. I don’t like that app and isn’t easy to use IMHO! Take again to download the data the it shows error message ### 1/5 — Great idea, scammy execution *2024-11-04* - the subscription charges do not come under Apple subscriptions and the process to unsubscribe is buggy - you press unsubscribe but button remains visible unsubscribed. - I followed TOPJAW but honestly their lists are just crammed with numerous random restaurants, I got it for NY but after reviewing London list I realised it’s not at all a refined list of places, half of them are extremely average at best. You will be better off checking out eg Opinionated About Dining ranking which is free and much better vetted ### 1/5 — Test it before releasing *2024-10-10* The number of bugs is disappointing. 4 out of 5 tabs are not loading. Appreciate your feedback! ### 1/5 — Subscriptions Can’t cancel from Apple Subscriptions *2024-08-08* Just a caution which I didn’t realise when I downloaded this app. Once you start following individuals you might pay subscriptions for the people you follow however you can’t cancel this from your normal place in Apple where you can cancel your other subscriptions. It doesn’t give you a lot of detail about payment in the app basically you need to Unfollow the person or group and then only you can unsubscribe, so just be cautious and how many you subscribe to because you can’t cancel directly from your Apple and I only realised when I got a payment email. ### 1/5 — Won’t add steps *2024-07-20* Try to add steps in Asuncion, Paraguay, it just doesn’t do it. What’s wrong? Do you need to support the city? Please fix. However my city (Plymouth) doesn’t register as a city it just comes up as ‘All the rest’ which is verging on offensive 😂 There’s no way to rename guides to fit what you want, and no way to do e.g. ‘North Devon’. You need to be able to create and name your own guides for this app to make any sense !!!! ### 1/5 — Useless app and it won’t let you unsubscribe *2024-05-13, version 1.10* This all doesn’t really give any value (you can just follow the creators on insta or TikTok and then use Google maps and make lists of the recommendations) and then they make it impossible for you to unsubscribe so it keeps charging you until you email them.
