## What is StepDots?

Even the boldest dream can start today.

Making your own film, running a full marathon, opening a small shop, switching to work you actually love — dreams like these tend to stay "someday". Not because you don't want them, but because they are so big you can't tell what to do today.

StepDots does one thing: it turns a dream into steps, so you can start today.

• Write your dream: one sentence is enough, however bold. No sign-up — open the app and write.
• Get a route: AI breaks it into stages, each with a clear goal and a way to tell it's done.
• Just one small step today: the first thing you see is a single step, usually a few minutes of work.
• The next step is ready: finish one and the next appears — no planning on your side.
• Stuck? Make it smaller: no time, too much to take in, afraid of getting it wrong, no idea where to start — pick what's in the way and get a smaller step.
• Log every step: a sentence or a photo goes into your logbook, so you can look back and see how far you've come.

It looks like a paper journal: your dream, stages and progress are notes stuck on grid paper, and the stickers can be moved around.

StepDots doesn't decide for you and doesn't promise results. It makes today's step clear — take it, take another tomorrow, and get closer to your dream one step at a time.

## Version history (last 5 releases)

### 1.2.2 — 2026-09-29

Do your first small step right on the page: the action page now has an open sheet. Write, tap “I did it”, and it goes into your Logbook, with no switching to a notes app. Your wish is ready to write as soon as the app opens. Also more accurate usage stats and a few small fixes.

### 1.2.0 — 2026-09-22

Faster start: write your wish the moment the app opens, or tap “See an example” — which now really opens one. Home opens on today’s step. After your first finished step, a wrap-up note lets you stop for today or carry on. Stickers drag only after a short press, so scrolling no longer moves them. Three featured route styles, more under “More styles”. Clearer notice before building. Stability fixes.

### 1.1.0 — 2026-09-13

Route generation is faster and more reliable, and long wishes no longer fail halfway. Source checking is back and links to official pages you can open directly. Fixed deadline and language false alarms in non-Chinese routes. Anonymous usage stats are more complete and can be turned off in About at any time.

### 1.0.5 — 2026-09-11

A brand-new handbook look: grid paper, torn sticky notes and draggable growth stickers. A step-by-step first-run tour shows where to tap. Log every small step with a line or a photo and browse them all in the Logbook. After finishing a step the page returns to the top so the next one is right there. Generated stages and small steps now stick to one set of tools and methods and adapt to what you have recorded. New About and Feedback sections. Free at launch, no ads, no in-app purchases.

### 1.0 — 2026-09-09
