Your heart rate stays on your device.

When you share a walking route with friends, StepHive now keeps your heart rate private — it never leaves your phone. Friends still see your route, distance, and pace, just not your personal health data.

Now has a Pace setting switch. If you purchase the routes, you can set your pace, and if you slow down, the watch and the phone will warn you.

Plus small refinements to keep your walks smooth. Thanks for walking with us!

Improved the accuracy of walk analysis. StepHive no longer ranks your pace against other people — walking speed measured over a full walk (with hills, stops and traffic lights) isn't comparable to the lab measurements those rankings were based on. You'll now see typical walking speeds as friendly context instead.
