### 4/5 — Steppa step

*2026-08-27*

Ça marche bien j’ai essayé tu prends des tals

### 2/5 — Becoming Disappointing

*2026-08-23*

I love this app, but they are ever increasing the price to join a challenge which is really disappointing when you can’t offer the entry fee. Or you can join community challenges with only a few people in, and gain barely anything. Not sure it’s worth it anymore.

### 2/5 — Yes motivational?!

*2026-08-08, version 1.6.1*

Although it’s a good motivator, counting steps for money, but my gripe is even though I pay to enter challenges, the payout is less than what I payed to enter!!! So I’m losing money and counting steps got it. If you are an average human being who is able, just get up and get those steps no money needed!!

### 3/5 — You’ll Probably Only Win A Dollar or Two

*2026-08-06, version 1.6.1*

It’s fun motivation, but even if a lot of people drop out, you probably won’t win much more than what you put in. I know it’s a business but there really is no real earnings you’ll make from most of these challenges but the company will usually earn several thousand at least.

### 2/5 — Confusion

*2026-08-03, version 1.6.1*

I’m so confused I’m doing the map and it seems like you either get your money back or you lose money with each challenge. Can someone please explain to me how this works?

### 4/5 — Good app, missing UK withdrawal..

*2026-08-02*

Great app that motivates u to walk more. One Starr off because UK withdrawal option was promised long time ago, but it’s still not available…

**Developer response:** Hey Michael, thank you for the four stars and for being straight with us about the wait. You can actually withdraw from the UK today through PayPal, so if you set one up and connect it in the app your balance can come out right away. Direct UK and EU bank withdrawals took us longer than we told you they would and we own that, but we are actively building it out now. If you hit any trouble getting PayPal connected, email support@playsteppa.com and we will get it sorted for you personally. Thank you for sticking with us.

### 3/5 — Winning prize is low

*2026-07-31*

Decent app, but not good enough to participate for low prices

**Developer response:** Thank you for the honest feedback and we get where you are coming from. Rewards scale with the size of the challenge, so the larger ones return meaningfully more than the small ones do. Our Walking on a Dream challenge just wrapped on a $25 entry and finishers came away with $38. Steppa takes nothing out of the reward itself, only a small upfront service fee that covers payment processing, so the entry fees go to the people who finish. Give one of the bigger challenges a try and we think it will look different to you.

### 4/5 — Good but needs improvements

*2026-07-30*

Downloaded yesterday and already enjoying it however I was disappointed when I
realised you couldn’t join more than one challenge at once. I think this is something you guys need to act on urgently as it will make a lot more people feel inclined to download the app and get involved.

### 1/5 — No UK payments

*2026-07-29*

Only after you win a challenge are you told you can’t receive any funds in UK. This is a US app only.

### 5/5 — Great App

*2026-07-28, version 1.6.1*

It’s a great app that helps motivate you. Also had an excellent interaction with their support team.

### 1/5 — Serious Transparency Concern

*2026-08-26*

I really like the concept behind Steppa, but my experience with the “Push the Boulder” challenge has raised serious concerns about the accuracy and transparency of the challenge results.

During the challenge, I checked the participant list and accounts approximately 71–177 were showing 0 steps, while roughly the first 70 participants appeared to have completed the required goal. After the challenge ended, however, those same accounts appeared with exactly 3,000 steps and were included as winners.

I contacted support asking for an explanation but have not yet received a clear answer.

I am not claiming these are fake accounts because I have no way to verify that. However, when real money and prize pools are involved, participants should be able to clearly understand how steps are verified, why displayed step totals can change after a challenge, and exactly how the final number of winners and payouts are calculated.

The concept is great, but until there is more transparency around these discrepancies, I can’t confidently give the app a higher rating. I would be happy to update my review if Steppa provides a clear explanation or fixes the issue.

### 1/5 — Fix it I’m in middle of challenge

*2026-08-26*

The app started to crash immediately upon opening after the todays update. I tried reinstalling and restarting the phone and almost everything. What nexts?

### 1/5 — Remboursement

*2026-08-25*

J’ai payer pour une course et je l’es annuler avant qu’elle commence et je n’est jamais reçu mon remboursement, ni sur l’application ni sur mon compte en banque. Quoi faire ?

### 1/5 — Not the Best If You Aren’t American

*2026-08-21*

As a Canadian, it seems you have to pay in USD, which could mean conversion fees. It seems like PayPal is the only option available to me and I believe Paypal there are fees when converting and withdrawing the winnings through PayPal. So in the end doesn’t seem like you much at all.

It’s disappointing this is the case, the app says coming soon to international bank transfers but the app shouldn’t even be available to international users if it isn’t ready yet to accept different currencies or have kore options for international users.

### 1/5 — Slow / No service

*2026-08-17*

If you use the online chatbot your previous chat does not refresh meaning it is impossible to get in touch with a team unless it’s via email, however even then on email the replies are super slow.

Was promised “instant” payouts when using paypal but have received nothing after hours and have made many attempts to contact the team to no avail.

**Developer response:** Hey Syon,

Thank you for the honest feedback. The AI chat bot is a new feature that still has some quirks we are trying to fix. With a small support team, there is only so much we can handle everyday. Emails sent to our support team are answered everyday, and PayPal payouts are sent everyday as well. If there's something off with your payout, please reach out and we will try to resolve your problem as quickly as possible. We truly appreciate you giving Steppa a try.

### 1/5 — Scam, don’t be fooled

*2026-08-12*

This app seemed legit, but I was hesitant so I did one of the cheapest challenges. The minimum is $10. I got my steps every day, however for whatever reason the app takes a long time to update when your data is obtained through a wearable. I use WHOOP. The challenge ended and closed and the app informed me that I had failed the challenge even though I had met well over the required amount of steps. I used the in app support and the AI Chatbot told me that my concern would be passed on to staff in business hours. We’re now 12 hours later and no update. I definitely believe this is a scam and intentional by the company to prevent me from earning the proposed rewards of the challenge that I completed. Don’t recommend

**Developer response:** Hi Shepster,

Thank you for taking the time to provide your honest feedback. We are aware that on occasion, wearables like WHOOP do not automatically update steps in the app. We are working our best on a fix that will fix this for 100% of users. If a WHOOP wearable sync issue caused you to fail a challenge you shouldn't have, please reach out to our support email (support@playsteppa.com), and we will take a look and make things right.

We are trying to improve the chatbot, as it is a new feature. Thank you for your patience.

Just a heads up, on the reward side of things, the amount of extra money you win is based entirely on how many people fail the challenge. Steppa only charges a small fee on top of every entry thats only meant to covering processing fees. All money at the end of the challenge goes to the winners. Longer, more difficult challenges usually make it so the winners are rewarded more, compared to easier, short, and cheaper challenges.

Again, thank you for taking the time to provide honest feedback. We are doing everything we can to improve Steppa for our users!

### 1/5 — Don’t bother

*2026-08-07*

I really wanted to like this app because I think the concept is great. Encouraging people to walk more and live a healthier lifestyle is something that deserves credit, and I genuinely respect the idea behind it.

My biggest issue is that the rewards don’t seem proportional to the commitment. You can spend over a week or even multiple weeks remembering to hit your daily step goal, putting in hours of walking, only to end up making around $5-10 if most people finish. On the other hand, it only takes one missed day to lose all of the time and effort you’ve invested. The risk versus reward just doesn’t feel balanced.

**Developer response:** Hey Diego,

Thank you for the honest feedback and for the credit you gave the concept. On rewards, what finishers receive scales with how large the challenge is, so the bigger ones return noticeably more than the short, cheap ones. Steppa takes no percentage of that at all, just a small service fee on top of the entry that covers payment processing.

On the missed day rule, we hear you that it stings, and it is intentional, because a challenge that forgives a missed day is not really a challenge. That said, feedback like yours is exactly what tells us where the balance is off, and we are looking hard at that curve right now. Either way, weeks of hitting your step goal is worth something on its own.

### 1/5 — Fees are ridiculous

*2026-08-04, version 1.6.1*

Ban people a lot and take 15% of every challenge meaning your actual winnings are very marginal. After fees you either make like a dollar or lose money. Scammy business model. Give the money to the people who earned it the middle men should not be taking that much on top of fees.

### 1/5 — Challenges

*2026-08-03*

Only lets you do one challenge at a time. Will be deleting app after completing my challenge

**Developer response:** Hey Shadow, thank you for the honest feedback. Right now Steppa keeps you to one active challenge at a time so that the same steps are not counting toward several challenges at once, which keeps results fair for everyone competing. Joining multiple challenges at the same time is something we are actively building and it is coming in an upcoming release. Come back in the next week or two and this feature should be available! We would love the chance to earn you back.

### 1/5 — Very sketchy

*2026-08-01*

It’s very odd how the entire time I will be completing in a challenge the app states that there is only X amount of people still competing. Yesterday, by the final day, only 32 people were still competing. Somehow by the time they tallied it up, 190 people managed to win. Seems like they’re inflating the winners and pocketing cash. Very sketchy

### 5/5 — Great for fitness and motivation!

*2026-08-27*

This app is great for fitness and motivation, I think if a lot of people used this app it would make many people fitter and healthier.

### 5/5 — Mr H

*2026-08-26*

Best app, for self improvement

### 5/5 — great sign up bonus

*2026-08-26*

i used code “bonus” for free $5

### 5/5 — Allow to create/join challenges in INR

*2026-08-19*

This is very useful app and can help people stay in fit as money is involved. I request to please allow to create or join challenges in Indian rupees.

### 5/5 — How far will you go?

*2026-08-14, version 1.6.1*

30K steps. 24 hours. Do you have what it takes?

### 5/5 — Fun app, legit money

*2026-08-06*

I’ve downloaded several steps based apps over the years that give you pennies for watching endless videos and logging in 100x a day. The premise of this app is so much better. Put your money where your mouth is and get your steps in. It’s not gonna make me rich, but I’m 70 bucks ahead in the past couple months just by taking the steps I was already going to take.

### 5/5 — Amazing App

*2026-08-06*

This app has been the sole reason why I have been consistent with my walking! Whoever came up with the idea is a genius!! Financial incentive to not give up!! Truly love it ♥️

### 5/5 — Update on support

*2026-08-02, version 1.6.1*

As an update to a recent review, I wrote, the Support team did take care of the issue. They just were not available on the weekend and I did not realize that. I want to give credit where it is due, and they have taken care of the issue. It’s a great app and I will continue to use it.

### 5/5 — Great Motivator

*2026-08-02*

Very well thought out app. At first I was surprised that you can only join one challenge at a time, but when you think about it, it makes sense. Steppa really motivates me to get out there and walk more, and sometimes I just go for an extra walk in the evening to complete my challenge steps. The app works well and is designed beautifully!

### 5/5 — Great support & the motivation kick I needed

*2026-07-30, version 1.6.1*

I just joined Steppa and had a great experience with the support team over there, helping me with a billing issue within hours of my email to them. Being part of the Steppa challenge helped me finish my workout yesterday even though I didn’t feel like doing it!
