For initial few days I saw 40 coins were allotted, then just 5 coins. The help center support says that it depends on “parameters”. Though, any clear and transparent rules are not provided. Coming to ads, these are long, will require multiple clicks, and are complete distraction and waste of time. The SSG could you earn are of no use. There are often sync issues in steps data. ### 3/5 — Many bugs and glitches *2024-11-06, version 0.9.81* In earlier phases, the app worked clearly fine, but later on it started showing some glitches as the step counts could not sync with the actual steps, and also there is problem in multiple logins again and again, currently also I am being signed out and not able to sign in as it is showing a server error. Most of the times it is the server issue. ### 1/5 — From best to worst *2024-01-07, version 0.9.66* It was one of the most amazing app when it was launched and now like all other apps it’s simply asking to put your money cuz no matter how much you try you won’t win anything and if you will it won’t be delivered. Unlike my brother I was lucky enough to not put any money on it. If you just want to count your steps for fun it’s a great app… but if you think you will win anything other than the peanuts you are wrong.. please developer now reply to my comment as “ we appreciate your feedback and blah blah and through it in garbage”. ### 3/5 — Fake hopes and Security lapse *2023-08-01, version 0.9.63* The app seems great as a motivational tool to make you walk. But the story after few months is that whichever gift you reach is either discontinued or out of stock... Again the app asks for continuous GPS permission, which is a privacy hack in a way. Also, the ads don’t seem to run most of the times which promise you free coins. The ads started with 3-5secs long ones and after few months reached 30secs and even longer. The app has deleted my progress data a third time now And I’m tired and deleting ### 2/5 — Worst app No support team at all *2023-06-10* You guys don't know how to maintain the app at all i am using the app from last 4 years at that time app was good now it was worst , i was walking morning and evening, But i am earning all the earnings on morning session only by keeping out door steps on and after turning it off and after all my regular works while i go to bed i see that this app taking the steps while i was on the bike without my knowledge and later decreasing my trust and charging me penalties i lost 600 coins for this who need extra coins and how wil i get extra goins after reaching the maximum limit in the morning only even though there is no challenges active how you will say fraud **Developer response:** Hey! We will be sure to ‌‌set things right for you! ### 1/5 — App has turned into a marketing site *2023-05-30* I have been using this app almost since the time of its launch. It did motivated to walk more, compete with friends, participate in public challenges. But slowly it has turned into a marketing site with too many ads and unwanted stuff. You have to enter into a lucky draw or pay money to buy stuff, they used to provide few free products that you can buy using SSG coins in the past, but now everything is money based. There is no value for SSG coins unlike during its launch. They have now started Pro version where you need to pay a subscription fee to even enter into pro model. On top of that, there is a lot of fraud in terms of handling the steps from some users. Thanks SSG for motivating us but its high time to uninstall and move on due to all new changes on the app. **Developer response:** Hey! Thank you for leaving a review. To know more, please read through - https://blog.stepsetgo.com/why-we-built-the-pro-fitness-league/ ### 1/5 — Half baked app *2023-05-05* I have used this app for nearly 4 years , and felt really sorry to drop the bad review on this, foa their customer support is pathetic and they never have proper technical knowledge, whenever you raise any request regarding miss calculation of steps there will be no resolution at all , if you lost those steps due to app issue , you won’t get them back all the vain and pain in drain . They never try to listen just blindly ask you to reinstall and mark them as irregular though they are proper and due to connectivity issue they saw spike and mark as irregular, what a waste . Now they included memebershio to squeeze you more money. I suggest Apple Health activity is best app and then samsung health , please don’t fall o this half baked app and don’t waste your time and money. Good luck ### 1/5 — Worst app! Don’t trust this app *2023-04-28, version 0.9.54* I ambushing this app from last 5 years and I have 15k coins but it’s completely waste now they are not giving any offers as they promised to give to there customers… that are giving 15% to 40% offers like rewards which are really worst if I need this kind of offers then I would have choosed shopping apps which now easily give 50% on the products then why the hell i need ur app. My dad has almost 20k coins he is really upset now after getting these many coins he is not getting any free products as company or app is to give before …. U just betrayed ur customers 😡😡😡😡😡😡 ### 1/5 — App has become useless post recent update *2023-04-26* I have been a user on this app since over 6 years, and since the last couple of weeks app has become totally useless. Marks all steps as invalid, doesn’t reward for challenges, and app support is just a joke, you may drop them mails but apart from automated responses you will not get any reply . Rating one star as cannot go any lower. Update The developer response is even more hilarious, rather than actioning on the issue, they reply as if a user of 6 years does not know what genuine steps are, or that steps when taken on a treadmill suddenly become inactive. It is a waste of time expecting anyone to acknowledge or act, better to uninstall the app. As it is the 40k coins I had were useless **Developer response:** Hey! Thank you for leaving a review. Please note that StepSetGo will only reward your genuine fitness activities. ### 1/5 — Fraud app *2023-04-25* Don’t count steps properly, even if it counts it says invalid steps. This is fraud and cheating with pro membership. I have raised many issues, they don’t even have minimum sense to reply. Don’t fall for fraud and fake ratings. Edit: You guys are not counting the steps as explained, I see daily minimum 2k steps difference between apple health app and SSG app. Please explain this difference and also I am asking for the steps which I have walked only, I am not using any fraud ways to get steps. How come steps counted in activity tracking is invalid? You should have minimum sense to reply to my questions in mail. Also always SSG don’t refresh steps in background every time I have to open the app refresh manually many times I have to force quit the app then only latest steps will show and that time it says what ever steps I have walked till that time was invalid. You guys don’t even have minimum curtesy to reply to my complaints and you reply to review saying we already explained. This itself proved that you are fraud Note that I never used fraud ways to get steps, I genuinely walk so only I am asking the explanation and fix the bugs in your app. **Developer response:** Hey! Please note that StepSetGo will only reward your genuine fitness activities. ### 3/5 — The inspiring part is good but ads in a free user just seems to push the user out of the app *2023-03-15* The initial use and motive of the app is awesome and would say it perfectly does the job. For me it really does push me to do that extra mile and kudos to the team for that. 5 star till now on that as well for a pro user. The moment you downgrade to a non pro user, here is where the frustration begins. Each and every click (almost) on the app opens up and ad and feels really frustrating when u r trying to focus on the workout. The ad runs almost for a minute which is further frustrating. 1 star for that and I was almost at the verge of removing it. Overall - 3 star (non pro user experience is bad), app is still buggy sometimes (I can live with that as long as it does the core part correctly) **Developer response:** Hey! We will certainly look at reducing the number of ads you see on StepSetGo. ### 1/5 — Big cheating app! *2023-02-03* I used to love this app I was so motivated in completing the arena challenges and meet the daily targets for years. The app was good initially we can redeem any product free with our earned SSG coins later the auction was a big cheating, each time we set up a bid , bidding charge would be applicable and encouraged us to bid several times due to which I lost so many thousand coins trying my luck to win the bid! And lot of free products which were promised never was delivered on successful completion of the task. Now all the good stuff is in SSG pro which is paid and nothing worthy left for people who do not subscribe for the pro and the linking of fitness tracker watches the steps are not recorded to the SSG app no matter how many times I refresh the page I feel it’s a total waste installing this app! ## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated) ### 1/5 — Good idea but poorly executed fitness rewards app *2025-10-26, version 1.0.3* The app tracks your daily steps and gives SSG coins that can be used for offers or vouchers. In theory, it sounds like a fun way to stay active and earn rewards. But in reality, the app limits how many coins you can use per day, and most “rewards” still need you to pay extra from your pocket. You end up saving only around ₹15–₹20 per deal. The app feels overloaded with ads, words, and shopping offers instead of focusing on fitness. Efforts should bring real value, not partial discounts. ### 1/5 — Support on iwatch *2025-08-16, version 0.9.96* App is downloading in iwatch ### 1/5 — Tracking progress shouldn’t feel like a chore. *2025-06-27* I’m genuinely confused and frustrated about why I have to *manually* start a walk or activity for it to count toward my challenges. If I’m already moving, covering a certain distance, and taking steps — shouldn’t that automatically be picked up by the app? It feels counterintuitive to rely on manual input when the app clearly has access to step and distance data from my device. If I forget to start recording a walk, all that activity is essentially wasted when it comes to challenge progress. That’s a major flaw in user experience. These days, most fitness apps offer auto-detection of walking, running, or other common activities — so I’m not sure why this app still requires manual intervention. Please consider making necessary updates to allow for automatic syncing of steps and distance with challenges. It would make the app much more seamless and user-friendly. From past few months, the app is not working as expected. The points are not getting updated properly and every time says syncing with server and it never. Multiple times I have crossed my daily limits but app is stuck in syncing server status. Very pathetic response! I use other apps and my Apple Watch as well. The difference is obvious, where this app shows limited steps where all other apps and my watch are almost in same range of steps. 2000 to 3000 steps difference some times! I did upgrade the apps and it’s up to date, but these issues persists. Even after successfully completed the payment I haven’t received any notification regarding the health plan and it’s simply showing blank when I tried to open to health plan there is nothing added and I have requested support via email and Instagram chats and unfortunately no one supported me. Just poor service. Don’t buy anything with actual money via setpsetgo you can simply walk and count it and for that purchase Apple health is best so I am uninstalling the same. Thanks ### 5/5 — App makes you tired as hell- But is it worth all that walking *2024-06-29* Dear SSG , I have been a legit user of this app since 4 years , I mostly go to work on my feet or by bus as I do not own a vehicle, this app motivates you to walk a lot definitely but since 4 years now I’m still at 13k coins with a very slow progress where as people who just joined a year ago have more coins then me !! Seeing that they are using fraudulent techniques to claim there prices like iPhone during the lowest bid offer don’t you think you should remove such fraudulent followers from this apps before hand so that they do not take the place of a genuine walker claiming the price . Instead you let them win and claim the price /reward for it ? And then you go around telling that they obtained the rewards through “fraudulent means “ via mail , so that particular period of time of lowest bid joining room goes waste for the customers who are genuine trying to walk and claim the benefits of this app !! I don’t know how if this app Is genuine or not I’m just walking has its a good app to know your step and calories that burn …..!!! Between I have a query, since we consider all three countable ( step count, calorie and distance) for outdoor walking and outdoor running, but why are we not considering step count for outdoor cycling? Why can’t we have a definite multiplier of step count for each km covered via outdoor cycling, like 1km in outdoor cycling = 750 step count added to the days step count or so? I observed too many ad popup coming up after new update, please control the ad counts. Or provide some reasonable ad free subscription against ssg coins. It makes people healthy, atleast tries to. And also keeps motivated to walk by giving away discounts on products. This way we also get introduced to new brands and brands also get a hugh promotion. They release a new challenge daily, give free coins which bounds you to open this app atleast once a day, however busy you are.
