I was looking for an app to compete on daily steps and I found an app that allowed me to compete against myself. Using the app I changed my walking and running habit to hit 10,000+ steps per day. My weight dropped 9 pounds and I increased my weekly mileage with a lot of low impact walking. The leaderboard has kept me accountable to walking daily. You can’t out walk your diet, so if you want to lose weight you’ll also need to change what you eat (Stop drinking alcohol and eating junk). It takes a different type of person to get to 340+ days of 10,000 steps, since you’ll most likely need to walk when you’re sick, but getting to 50 or 100 days is way more achievable. I love walking and running and this app has force me to figure out how to make movement a part of my life. I also love the retro style, animation, and haptics that make it feel fun to open the app. There is a timezone bug, so if you switch time zones you need to get your 10,000 steps in your home day’s timezone to keep your streak alive. Keeps me motivated! *2024-12-29* I absolutely love the app lock feature, I’ve been looking for an app that does something similar and couldn’t find one. Great that you also have a watch app that can show you your steps. The design is simple and easy to use! Only thing is I wish you could change the goal to a personalized choice like 12,000 steps, and some little notifications for when you reach certain step count like at 3000 steps it alerts you that you need 7000 more to go, or something like that would be cool! Otherwise I absolutely love the app and am happy with the price, I feel like it’s a good deal while also supporting the developers! The apple watch app shows you your live step count which is kind of motivating. The app has a leaderboard which again motivates you to continue with your daily streak. I think it is the only app in appstore that has such a unique retro design which looks fabulous. On top of that devs are constantly providing updates to app and adding new features. Unlike other apps, this app does not have un necessary stuff. It is simple and straight to the point. Personally for me it is the perfect app. I hope developers will not just stick to step counts and expand this app to other physical activities like running, cycling etc.(somewhat similar to Gentler Streak app). ### 5/5 — Best on the market *2024-09-28* I absolutely love this step tracker.
