I've had nothing but frustration when going to see a movie at their cinemas. Booking online is pointless as you need to wait in the same queue as non-online goers. Then wait in a queue to print your beverage order, then wait in a queue to collect said beverage. Then wait in a queue to add salt and get a straw. Then wait in a queue to enter cinema. All while costing you a small fortune. No helpful staff around. I laid a complaint to them and had no response. I will NEVER use Ster Kinekor again. ### 1/5 — Poorly Thought Out *2017-07-05* Hi Guys, your old app was great - it was well thought out from start to finish. I think your current team is struggling to figure out what the focus/starting point of this app should be : is it cinemas or movies? (ie: do I want to search for places where X movie is showing, or do I want to see what movies are showing at X cinema?) In my case, it's the latter. Depending on where I am (Gauteng, Western Cape or KZN), if I have nothing better to do, I like to check out a movie (depending on what's showing at my closest cinema). I'm sitting in Cape Town now and when I tap cinemas, the only one listed is Sandton (I must have chosen my favourite cinema at some stage during the app set up). Maybe I'm dumb, but I can't figure out how to get to Somerset or Stellenbosch cinemas to see what's on. You've added a new "plus" button to what looks like the home screen for me to add cinemas. To be perfectly honest, if I'm sitting in Cape Town I don't care what's showing in Sandton. Just give me a simple list/drop down of cinemas so that I can choose my context. SIMPLIFY is the motto you guys need to work on to get back to where you were. You're just selling movie tickets, make it easy and intuitive. ### 1/5 — If I ever had a reason to switch to NuMetro! This is it *2017-05-02* This app is so terrible. After previewing a movie, it takes you back to the top of the movie list so you're forced to scroll past all the other movies before you're back at the movie you were at. Also, having to add card discount numbers before seeing if seats are available is such a waste of time! The app also froze twice now during the paying process with SterKinekor taking money off my card without actually booking seats. Very disappointed, I wish I could rate it 0 stars **Developer response:** Hi there, thank you for your feedback and I'm sorry to hear you haven't been enjoying the app yet. We're currently finishing work on a new layout and filter for the Movies page, including making it far easier to navigate between Now Showing and Coming Soon movies. This update should be available on the store in the next few weeks. We're also working on making it far clearer which sessions are selling fast or sold out before you go through entering your loyalty card details - this update should be ready in the next month or so. Shocking experience, I’d rather spend my money on movies online than waste my energy trying to book a ticket through SK ### 1/5 — Never works *2019-09-24* I have tried on many occasions to book tickets using this App. After adding my loyalty card to the booking & proceeding to the next step it tells me that it encountered an error and I must try again later. But it never works I just don’t understand it. The Original app worked fine a few years ago but it seems they just can’t get it right. It seems they don’t care as I have even email them and got no response. I can only imagine how much money they are loosing out on when people rather use the New Metro app instead. Nothing is intuitive or seamless . I tried twice to process a payment , it’s gone off my account but not on your site .
