After booking tickets and paying for them, they didn’t show on the app, I had to close and reopen the app before I could see my tickets. ### 1/5 — Unable to buy ticket *2025-07-25, version 1.1* Hi I’m not sure if the app is still being build or something but I am unable to purchase a ticket, after going through the flow there’s no button to take me to the payment system ### 2/5 — UX feedback *2025-07-19, version 1.1* The loyalty number addition is not intuitive. I would reconfigure that. Need a press and hold delay on most of the tabs and buttons. I went to multiple places I did not want to go. ### 1/5 — Unable to Pay in App and Mobile Web *2025-07-18, version 1.1* Downloaded the new app. The new UI looks way better. However I went through the flow of trying to purchase a ticket. Get to the point where it displays your Total, and there’s no way to proceed to actually pay. There’s no prompts nothing. I then tried in the browser on mobile (iPhone 16) and the same thing occurs. There’s either no payment button being displayed or no button displayed to navigate to the payment screen ### 2/5 — Multiple issues picked up *2025-07-13, version 1.1* Only can view one cinema at a time whereas I could select multiple cinemas with the previous app. I have struggled to sign in with my details. Now I can't use my vitality discount again on the same movie, and I still don't have a booking. No payment method at checkout, so you can’t book a movie online (even on the new website, by the way). You can’t add a payment card either; only gift cards are allowed. You can write a review on a movie they have no proof you have watched it. I don’t see Takealot allowing people to review products they didn’t purchase from their app/website. You must be a verified buyer to review. Reviews are poorly placed right there on your face. Reviews from people should be somewhat hidden and only accessible by choice. I have seen people’s reviews and comments on a movie I haven’t watched. ## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated) ### 1/5 — So bad it’s impossible to even describe *2026-04-12, version 1.1* Haven’t had the ‘pleasure’ of booking on the Ster Kinekor app or website for years, and as bad as I remember the experience to be, this is significantly worse. Possibly the worst online experience I’ve had in a decade. Nothing works, and it’s basically impossible to link a Vitality movie card number to book that way. This was clearly not tested before going live. Be better! ### 1/5 — Terrible checkout experience *2025-11-24, version 1.1* Can’t add more than one vitality card number at a time. Naming for payment method is confusing. “pay with another card tomorrow”?! Well, you’ve completely failed your one job on the app and the website. NuMetro is doing way better than you guys. This happened many years ago and it was incredibly frustrating and it’s happened again. The new app is far more limited. I cannot compare the showtimes of multiple cinemas easily. The app is overall much slower and clunky and poorly designed. It is in every conceivable way worse than the previous version. I cannot fathom why you’ve done this update. I can only assume some software developer had to justify their existence, well evidently they shouldn’t exist. And clearly this app wasn’t ever tested before being released. Last time this happened it took a long while before the app reached close to the same functionality of the original version. Can you please just go back to that original app from 2013. Payment didn’t go through and automatically voided my two Discovery Vitality cards as it has already been “Processed”. Failed booking is not stored to try payment again. Try to rebook and then the seats I booked is taken from my previous booking. Almost booked up the whole back row now with payment fails and they show as taken up. It is going to cost SK serious money as this stops other viewers from getting these seats. Still seriously peeved that I had to pay full price for tickets ### 3/5 — More limitation than the old one *2025-07-04, version 1.1* The app is mostly easy to navigate. However, there are a few things that are not working for me personally. First, I can only view one cinema now, so if the movie is not showing at the cinema I selected I won’t be able to easily check which other cinema is showing it; the second issue is adding the vitality and sk membership number. It’s basically more complicated than how it was, adding all the numbers and then select them later as coupons.
