How incompetent can they be?! ### 1/5 — RIP OFF *2022-09-02, version 5.4.4* MyTimeMedia LTD knows nothing about app support or costumer service. I subscribed to Stereophile for years several years ago, a few months after this developer took over, I lost access to everything. I recently subscribed to Sound & Vision (I should have known better), only to find that after a couple of issues, all past issues were removed and the app acted as if I don't exist. Customer support blames my user ID or my IPad Pro for their issue. Stereophile is a great magazine. This developer does not know how to keep it together. STAY AWAY FROM THIS APP DEVELOPER ### 1/5 — Zero Stars *2022-03-11, version 4.7.1* The magazine if fine but the app is a pathetic piece of junk. Repeatedly, the app forgets that I have a subscription and refuses to let me download my issues. Customer service eventually responds to my complaint then asks for proof of payment. Uh, don’t they have this info linked to my Apple ID/email address? I guess not, which might explain why I can’t get the issues I’ve already paid for. What a pain in the butt - should have cancelled years ago. ### 1/5 — Big Issues (but not the Magazine type) *2021-06-30, version 4.7.0* I have been a subscriber via the app store for many years, last year the issues would not download (I subscribe via the app store) and they resolved it for me, this year same thing happened and I wrote a few times, but nothing, so paid for a year and got only a few issues….. unsubscribed. ### 1/5 — Will not download new issues *2021-03-27, version 4.7.0* App doesn’t download new issues even though you’re logged in as a current subscriber. No way to fix and no way to get support. Clearly this app is broken and should not be in the store. ### 1/5 — Terrible app *2021-01-12, version 4.7.0* I have been a subscriber to the digital Stereophile app for nearly three years. On a regular basis over those years, I have not been able to load digital issues without paying additional $7.99 for née issue in addition to subscription price. In the past, although I have had to send several emails each month to Stereophile , the problem was eventually resolved. For February edition, however, I have now sent four emails to Stereophile over five days with no response from customer service and no fix. I still cannot access the issue. Just crazy, especially for a magazine that is supposed to be tech-savvy. ### 1/5 — Absolutely scandalous *2020-12-11* The options to subscribe available on Stereophile web site are NOT available on Apple store . Phoned Apple and Stereophile both saying it’s the other’s fault ... I think the Apple store is now miserable. Apple is going out of the market. Only option is to subscribe directly to the editor and forget about Apple. I cant get any past issue from the home screen. From the my library screen, I can get past issues but not the current one. I have had various problems with this app over quite a period of time. I recemmend you get a mail subscription. Apple won’t help except for providing a credit for three free movies. Stereophile won’t help. Have submitted a support request to app developer. Alex Woods writes a letter and says he can’t find the subscription. The Apple rep says it is not their fault and no body looks at the comments to see that something is very wrong with the connection between iTunes and the company server. Stereophile should be ashamed of such. The login simply does not work at all and nothing seems to work properly. I love the magazine but this app is junk. Every 6 months or so it quits allowing me to download the latest issue which typically ends up with me having to send copies of my subscription receipts to prove I have a current subscription. Then I end up having to delete and reinstall the app which removes all of my older downloaded issues which then causes me to have to send in copies of older subscription receipts to prove I should have access to them. Well it’s happened again, my subscription just renewed in December 2022 and it’s not letting me download the February 2023 issue. Even the latest app update didn’t fix the issue. The magazine is good but not worth this frustration. At this point I am just canceling my subscription and saying goodbye to Stereophile. ### 1/5 — Non existent customer support *2022-11-27, version 5.4.5* I bought the magazine and digital subscription. The app with newsstand is occasionally problematic with subscription went started or when it's up. I would like older issues. It shouldn't be this difficult . I recently ordered two years subscription (56.00) , the problem or issues I have the digital issues for several years . I pay 2.99 a month again for several years . I do like the digital issues a lot ,but I’m missing several issues from 2023 . I told the company and they told me ,I must have ordered from the publisher. Thank you ,keep up the good work with the equipment information. Pity that 4 year old reviews clutter up the ratings site. ### 5/5 — Just like the good of' days! *2014-12-26* Waaaay back in the days before the Internet, I subscribed to Stereophile - and waited every month for the mail carrier to deliver my new issue. It had great articles, reviews, features and tips - and it came in a distinctively small format that made it easy to carry in a backpack, briefcase or purse. Well, it is still GREAT magazine and it works superbly on my iPad Mini 2. Still easy to carry and a joy to read! Highly recommended. ### 5/5 — Fixed!!!
