The app is unusable, they froze my account claiming charges were unsubstantiated. When I went to log in my account was locked, tried to call customer service, no one answers, left multiple voicemails over a week, FINALLY got a call back got into the account. Website crashes on chrome mobile browser. Tried the app, finally could see the claims, yet no provider information is attached to the claims. They require receipts to be submitted for claims that have no name attached. Only way to verify is to call them, but they never answer the phone. Talking to my hr department, this is unacceptable. ### 1/5 — Awful *2023-10-31* I really want my employer to go with another company. Any who, back to the app itself. Awful, doesn't work over half the time. Right now it'll allow me to log in, but then I get a blank white screen. I thought maybe it's an iOS issue but nope it's happening on my Samsung S23 Ultra too. ### 1/5 — Unsubstantiated *2023-07-20* Frustrated by this app and Sterling Administration Benefits Health Savings Account (HSA). HSA card has been disabled multiple times because the app does not recognize a receipt and won’t allow it to be uploaded in response to Sterlings “unsubstantiated” charge inquires and Sterling does not accept emailed copies of the receipt. ### 1/5 — Can’t even upload my receipt! *2023-07-11* Get your app together. Using this app is like trying to view my information with child restrictions. Transaction history is horrible and doesn’t reflect current balances or provide any details of transaction. Trying to contact the customer service is a joke as well. First attempt I sat on hold for 10 min and was disconnected losing my place in the 27 min wait queue. When I finally got thru it sounded like I was talking to someone sitting at there kitchen table with children playing in the background. Concerned with future interactions and fear that if I update my iPhone the app won’t function. ### 1/5 — Non operable *2022-05-30* Updated my iPhone and now the application doesn’t function. ### 1/5 — Worst hsa so far *2022-04-02* This app and there website are terrible. I wish my work never switched to sterling. This has been the less user friendly. The app always says my log in is wrong. Then I use the log in online and it works except on your phone it doesn’t fit on the screen and you can’t slide over. ### 1/5 — Terrible app for such an important service *2020-04-30* This app was bad when I first installed in 2019 and it’s gotten worse since with no updates. It’s difficult to login. The app isn’t comparable with iOS and it’s extremely buggy with needing multiple logins get it to Work. I’ve deleted and reinstalled multiple times. Now, the feature where they ask you to substantiate your claims and submit a receipt, nothing pops up now since Nov 2019 when the app began slowing down. I tried to submit a receipt when it randomly allowed that feature and you can only upload one image for the entire claim which defeats the purpose of getting the claim approved If you need to take more than one photo. Going to the webpage via mobile browser is the only other option when the app fails and that page as well is not formatted correctly and information and fields aren’t visible on the screen. This is a basic, cost-cutting company who will deny claims for the most asinine reasons, will ask for substations for a dental office’s charge under $20, and disable your FSA spending card after 30 days, (45 with notice)-when most larger and reliable agencies give you 90 days to get documents together. So yeah, I’m not surprised this app is so terrible. It is a reflection of the culture and integrity of the company. ### 1/5 — From bad to worse *2019-12-20* I used to be able to look at balances, debit card activity, claims, etc. now I get a pop up that says “Sorry” along with a poorly written excuse stating the information isn’t available at this “moment”. Wish I could find the right moment. It’s been doing this for months! Yes, I’ve done the “troubleshooting” for the app. Just uninstall and reinstall. No changes. I have to use the web site. It has its own special challenges with screen layout. UI and UX are definitely not a concern with SterlingHSA. ### 1/5 — Feels like somebody's school project *2019-09-13* Everything about this app - from the barely-functional login screen (yep, the keyboard covers the password field - even on an iPhone XS!), to the inconsistent layout that leaves a weird gray bar across the top of the screen, to the "we just threw a web view on an existing mobile page" approach, to the "SterlingAdmini..." app title on the home screen, feels like a homework project that was thrown together the day before the deadline by somebody new to iOS development.
