Now I need to login and authenticate every time I use the app. ### 2/5 — What is so hard about bank reconciliation?? *2026-06-17, version 2.0.11* This app has everything I need except for bank reconciliation. So many of their competitors include it! I’ve been using this app for years but dread month end when I have to manually reconcile my bank account! It can’t be that hard of a function to add! ### 2/5 — Terrible functionality *2026-06-06, version 2.0.8* The app somehow is not formatted for mobile. It is literally a mobile app….yet it does not work with a mobile phone. During set up and while looking at the home screen right after set up, I CANNOT SCROLL DOWN OR UP. There is plenty more to see but you can’t scroll. I almost couldn’t complete set up because it wouldn’t let me scroll down to the yes or no question. ### 2/5 — Would be fantastic if it weren’t so buggy. *2026-06-02, version 2.0.8* I like the software and really wanted to like the iPad app, but the implementation is just awful. It is so buggy, to the extent that it is practically unusable. Every task becomes either dramatically more difficult than it needs to be or impossibly broken. Even minor stuff like there UI doesn’t even fit correctly on the screen, so that text, buttons, and input boxes that are needed extend past the screen with no way to get to them show how sloppily this was put together. There are so many bugs that you just can’t get normal use from it. I tried thirty different times and ways to save dates and it worked for some properties and not for others. One of my properties refuses to allow me to add a lease to it. If this app worked like it was supposed to it would be great, but it’s honestly just a mess. ### 3/5 — Key Feature is an update *2026-04-19, version 2.0.7* I truly only wanted one thing. A place to upload receipts and track expenses. Ironically the one thing I need is the upsell to PLUS… had a bunch of other features it offered that truly are nice but not needed. I felt this was backwards. The simple things should be free- the tracking value, market values,, etc are nice but not a key needed component. I’ll just go find an expense tracker. Disappointed. ### 2/5 — Was good but…. *2026-04-16, version 2.0.7* Constantly logs me out even with facial recognition chosen… now goes to a blank screen and if I opt to delete and reload it says it will delete my Data…. What the hell good is that? If I paid the fee would it act better? Cancel culture trying to force me to pay? ### 3/5 — Great, but *2026-04-13, version 2.0.6* This is a great app that is easy to use, and generates excellent reports at the end of the year. However, ever since the last update there is a constant error message that prevents the ability to upload photos of receipts. This is very unfortunate! ### 2/5 — Screwed up latest version *2026-04-10, version 2.0.6* The mileage amount doesn’t show correctly. I have to enter manually to correct for the year. And even if I enable FaceTime it doesn’t automatically logic next time. It keeps asking credentials and authentication ### 2/5 — Used to Be Good, Continues to Update & Ruin Features *2026-03-13* This used to be my go to accounting software and now I struggle to recommend it to people that ask. Every "New Features" upgrade makes current features worse, and also breaks functionality. Recording rental payments takes way too many steps, spmething that used to he pretty quick on the app, and the website is glitchy when adding transactions. Their newest update has now broken the ability to view receipts that are a PDF, something that used to work flawlessly. What is this developer team doing? I suggest all you coders to try and use your website and app like a landlord would, and hopefully you will begin to see all the bugs and issues that you keep introducing. ### 2/5 — Multiple issues connecting to bank *2026-01-09, version 1.9.10* I’ve had the premium service for a few years now. Overall I like it however, not once but now a couple times, my transactions and the bank connection refuses to connect. The customer service I have been given has been moot with them saying it’s been escalated yet it’s been over a month now without any resolution. Now it is tax season and I would love to get ahead. Also I am working on another project with my bank, I would love to print out my rent roll and net cash flow but my transactions have not been updated on here in weeks. I am less than thrilled. ### 2/5 — Full of bugs *2025-12-30, version 1.9.10* The app has lots of potential. I use it to organize P/L on my rentals, but the interface in iOS (and macOS) is full of script bugs. Crashes often. At times I leave it alone for a month until they fix them but new ones come up. I commend the developers for their effort in achieving a useful product. I would never pay for the premium version of the free one is this unreliable. ### 1/5 — Used To Be Great, Recent Updates Ruined It *2025-12-03* I have been a longtime user of this software. I currently have the highest pro account and manage more than 30 units. The original layout worked well and was efficient, but their most recent update has made using the app useless. Recording rental payments is beyond difficult, and that's assuming your options don't glitch out repeatedly. Adding and ending leases is more complicated now and makes using the software more and more frustrating every day. Their "updates" feel like they are pushing everyone to use their rent collection services. Overall disappointed in the direction they seem to be going. Will start looking at other options next year. ### 1/5 — No way to reconcile *2025-11-29, version 1.9.10* Program works great unless you want to verify the downloads to your bank statement…then you are out of luck! This has been on the User Community “WishList” for years with no indication that they have any plans to add it. Not sure how you can call yourself an accounting program and not offer the ability to reconcile your bank accounts! ### 1/5 — Resident portal *2025-09-21, version 1.9.10* I am a renter. It would be nice to be able to easily go to the resident portal to pay my rent. Is there not an app for this? There’s also no simple way to do it on the website. But the app keeps crashing! The past few days in a row, the app completely freezes with an infinite spinning loading wheel right after I enter a transaction. I have to force close the app every single time just to get out of it, and then check to see if my entry actually saved. Please fix this bug in the next update! ### 1/5 — Need to fix immediately *2026-05-12, version 2.0.7* I want to give five stars but your recent update has horrible functionality on the app for iPhone. Can you please allow transaction to be entered and corrected they way they used to be before the update. Additionally it is now requiring full sign in every time I try to log in, unlike every 30 days before. I have been using this app for over 4 years and what ever update you recently did is making me want to switch now. ### 1/5 — Update is trash *2026-05-06, version 2.0.7* Love Stessa, ever since it was purchased by Roofstock the quality has gone downhill. They tried so hard to make it look better and work better, but now in turn it’s a pain to work with. I have a persistent notification bug that is impossible to clear. I've tried signing out of the app, deleting the app, signing into a different account, deleting the app again, and no matter what I do I cannot get my notification to clear. Says I have 22 when my account says only 15. And to top it off I am unable to find this app in my notification settings, so I can't even disable the bubble notification for this specific app. What a mess. This app used to be so good but like everything else they just make it worse every single update. Every update they do, just makes the app function for sporadically and have more bugs. ### 1/5 — Fix your user interface *2026-03-21, version 2.0.5* This app behaves like a desktop site forced to fit into a phone screen. Menus are cut off, you can’t see the select options, the keyboard blocks inputs. For a professional finance app, this is completely unprofessional and ridiculous to be encountering these types of interface issues 2026. ### 1/5 — Stessa introduced significant downgrades to the interest APR on cash management account balances *2026-03-12, version 2.0.4* The only real competitive advantage Stessa provided with its paid subscription tiers was the decent interest rates on its cash management accounts. However, the company recently notified customers that the interest rates will now be based on account balances (in addition to still requiring a paid subscription). Pro users paying $28/m who maintain a balance under $10,000 will receive an APR of 1.33%. Pro users who wish to receive an interest rate similar to the one we were promised when purchasing the subscription would need a minimum balance of $250,000. For users who are mid-cycle on an annual plan, the company is removing a primary benefit promised during signup, which will decrease their earned interest by $181 when comparing the rate applied to a $10,000 balance now versus after the program downgrade. ### 1/5 — Bank Connections Always Down *2025-12-06, version 1.9.10* Stessa has some great bookkeeping features for real estate businesses. However, they completely shoot themselves in the foot with their inability to provide stable connections to banks. The connection to my bank is down more than it is up. Not a worthwhile service to use if your transactions won’t import. And, no, Stessa, I’m not got to rely on manual imports of transactions. They need to switch to Plaid, which provides very stable bank connections to their competitors- such as Baselane. It might not have all the bells and whistles that other apps have, but it seems the team is working on making the app better every day. I tried Quickbooks and had too many issues with payment processing, and I didn’t like working with Indian customer service representatives because they didn’t seem empowered or knowledgeable enough to resolve issues. Stessa’s team handles issues promptly. There are some features that I wish the app had (e.g. depreciation and amortization tracking), but I’m confident the team is working towards building a solution. ### 5/5 — Title: Must-Have App for Real Estate Investors – Outstanding Support! *2025-03-25, version 1.9.3* Stessa has completely transformed how I manage my rental properties. His quick responses, patience, and deep knowledge of the platform made my experience even better. It’s rare to find such great customer support these days! If you’re a real estate investor, Stessa is a must-have tool.
