### 1/5 — No Free Version

*2025-11-24*

Despite the description saying there is a free version, there is not. After setting up an account, you are hit with a subscription paywall that you cannot move past and must choose either an annual or monthly option. Deceitful wording, don’t download unless you are willing to pay or do the free trial.

**Developer response:** Thank you for your feedback. The free access mentioned in the description refers to participation in our Million Heart Collective, a limited market release project that provides complimentary access to Stethophone for participants. Anyone who is interested in taking part is very welcome to join.
If you’d like to participate, please contact us – we’ll be happy to add you to the project: https://support.stethophone.com/support/home

### 1/5 — NOT WORKING - can’t open app

*2024-11-09*

Error: marketplace is not available.

First screen with subscription is not responsive and blocking go to next screens of app.

**Developer response:** Dear Customer, We are very sorry that you were unable to use Stethophone due to the marketplace being unavailable and felt the need to write about it. Our support team is eager to assist you and is already waiting for you at the following link: https://support.stethophone.com/support/home
Alternatively, we are ready to provide a code for a free app download, as our primary goal is to ensure people can record and capture symptoms at the moment they arise, which is one of our main objectives.

### 1/5 — Fakes sounds

*2024-05-29*

This app has a preprogrammed sound - it’s not your true heart sound.

**Developer response:** Dear Customer,

Thank you for your review of our Stethophone. We take all feedback seriously and want to address your concern about the app having preprogrammed sounds.

I want to assure you that Stethophone does not use any preprogrammed or synthetic heart sounds. Our app is designed to capture the user's actual heart sounds in real-time. We utilize advanced audio processing algorithms to provide an accurate representation of the user's unique heart activity.

The quality of the heart sound recordings in Stethophone has undergone rigorous clinical testing and validation. We are committed to delivering a genuine, high-quality experience that faithfully reflects the user's true physiological data.

Thank you for your feedback.

### 5/5 — It’s great

*2024-03-18*

As a woman in my 40s, taking care of my health and my family is more important than ever. I am impressed with this app; it is very intuitive and easy to use. I can listen to and record my heart, which is mind-blowing. It's like having a cool stethoscope on your phone. I am excited to show it to my doctor.

**Developer response:** Hello Lucillemor,
Thank you so much for sharing your experience with Stethophone! It's fantastic to hear that you feel empowered to listen to your heart with our app. We're just as excited as you are to see how your doctor reacts! If you ever need anything or have further feedback to share, please feel free to reach out. We're here to support you every step of the way.

### 2/5 — Great idea! But not great results.

*2024-02-29*

Basically I could not get the app to present my audible heart beats consistently, even with moving the phone around a few different places. I'm in a quiet place, sitting perfectly still, in a calm setting, but the audio of actual beats is very intermittent. I've got heart issues, with a prosthetic aortic valve and a pacemaker. With a real stethoscope i can hear my own regurgitation. With the app I could barely hear the A/V beats and that was very infrequent. I could hear my lungs and breathing.

**Developer response:** Dear OKheart,

We really appreciate your feedback as it shows an interesting and rare case for other users.
As you know classic stethoscopes can sometimes cause loud, unpleasant sound artifacts from accidental touching clothing and skin. When creating Stethophone, we developed a feature called Declicker that is designed to make auscultation more comfortable in cases like that. However, when using on people with valve prostheses, Declicker needs to be turned off. By default it is enabled, so please open the Settings and turn it off. That will fix your issue and you will be able to hear heart beats and regurgitation, and we hope you will enjoy using Stethophone. PS: Please remember Apple’s safety rules for using phones with pacemakers, you can find the link to the rules on our label (Regulatory Information).
