Especially while reading. Also for meditation. Also, I use it with the volume low on the iphone speaker and it acts like an ambient mantra creating 'sound track' of the present moment: a tool to use to become hyper aware of the present moment. Next time you have to stand in line somewhere play the app with the phone in your pocket, soften your eyes, slowly breath and just look around and 'immerse' in the present moment. This can be pretty trippy ;) While it is infinitely creative, I, like so many others, would like more spheres. Priceless isolation..... ### 5/5 — Interact with the Soundcurrent *2012-08-11, version 1.11* Arranging these loops, which have been very well selected and then playing your remixed piece through a good sound system can be very relaxing and therapeutic. The evocative titles can add to your "immersion" in the music and bing you closer to the essence of the experience of Roach's sonic unfoldings. Even drum and bass, which I wouldn't want myself. It would be worth $10 to me. More spheres, especially chants or angelic choirs, would be so great. Customizable spheres would really kick butt. When I tried to use it to sleep to, it seemed more creepy than relaxing. I hope more loops will become available..or do I have to buy more stations for some variety? ### 3/5 — Can't save mixes. *2013-10-16, version 1.11* This was a great app, but something's gone wrong since the update to iOS 7, and I can't save my mixes anymore. I touch the "Save" button, and get a window asking me if I want to save the track. However, I cannot enter a track name. And when I try save it with the default title, it doesn't save the mix. I touch "save" and no new mix appears in the list. Same with Immersion II. Fix that and you'll have a great app again. ### 3/5 — A for effort *2010-10-25, version 0* Plus I want these guys to succeed but truthfully the sounds are the weakest part of the app. The interface is great. The background play is awesome. But the sounds are like lockdown at a prison. One soothing sound and five jarring, reverb-drenched options. Evolve feature is cool but seems to only change up the mix, not the sounds. These apps ingeniously design by Eric Freeman with Steve bring together visual Art design, on-the-go tech, and lush ambient loops in a seamless way. They are infinite as you can interact and create and store your own loops with titles you dream up! Beyond cool! Amazing, amazing! Quick note to devs: the scroll on the loop selection page doesn't allow me to reach my mixes at the bottom. Also, would love to be able to pause when on the lock screen. Pressing pause does nothing, so I either have to level the volume down or unlock to close the app. ### 5/5 — By far my favorite app ever created *2013-11-12, version 2.20* This is the best music app I've ever used. If you're a Steve Roach fan then you must get both Immersion I & II. Use it when working on the computer or at night when going to bed. Your ears will be treated to an endless mix of smooth tonal passages that evolve out of nowhere. Very deep and atmospheric.
