### 5/5 — Buy the full version!

*2024-12-13, version 1.0*

I love it and hate it at the same time! Which makes it a perfectly frustrating and satisfying puzzle game. No ads, no subscriptions. Just a simple $2.99 for the full version forever. Just as an iOS game should be!

### 5/5 — You’ll love to hate it

*2024-12-13*

Picked this up based on the video on the web site. It’s an amazingly simple game at its core, but also really difficult to do well at.

### 5/5 — Great concept, excellent gameplay.

*2024-12-12, version 1.0*

A brilliant and intuitive puzzle game that will keep your interest and can be enjoyed by casual and serious players alike. If you are on the fence - give it a try!

### 5/5 — Scratches my brain just the right way

*2024-12-12, version 1.0*

Super intuitive yet increasingly difficult. Super enjoyable casual game

### 5/5 — Fun and Competition!

*2024-12-11, version 1.0*

Great puzzle game that can be soothing to play on your own or heart racing to beat the Daily Steve! Our whole family loves it!

## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 3/5 — Heavy on casual, light on puzzle

*2025-04-09, version 1.2*

I downloaded this hoping it would be a nicely presented logic puzzle similar to Filling from Simon Tatham’s online puzzle collection. It’s visually similar, but not really a logic puzzle. Solutions are not unique, and I couldn’t find a way to mark a square as definitely belonging to a region without defining the entire region. (Or a way to take any other kind of note.) The lack of note-taking turned out not to matter, though, since lightly informed guessing seemed to be a viable strategy in expert mode, with almost no backtracking required.

The presentation is nice, though.

### 4/5 — Great Game

*2025-07-23, version 1.2*

Great game. Not sure why they show the solution for the daily Steve in between attempts.

### 4/5 — Aucun

*2025-03-13, version 1.2*

C’est trop cool 👍

### 4/5 — Parties rapides, addictives

*2025-02-16, version 1.2*

Je me suis laissé prendre au jeu. J’y passe clairement un peu trop de temps.

### 4/5 — Could be more challenging

*2025-01-01, version 1.2*

I really wanted to enjoy this but it’s just not challenging enough. I’m no puzzle genius but I’m still crushing it on expert mode.

### 5/5 — Omg this game is amazing

*2025-07-17, version 1.2*

It’s not because my friends dad made it but it also fun

### 5/5 — Perfect

*2025-03-19, version 1.2*

Exactly what a mobile game should be. Free trial, daily puzzle, pay a small amount for unlimited puzzles. No ads, no subscription, just a fun little puzzle game to pass the time. Hopefully we get bigger puzzles in the future.

### 5/5 — Very fun game

*2025-02-26, version 1.2*

I love this game. I played a few rounds and then this was an immediate buy.

It would be awesome to have a couple of features added:

1. Clear board option for those times it might be easier to start over but you don’t want to resign

2. Ability to lock some blocks in place because they can’t logically be anything else. A double tap could lock and a double tap again to unlock. Locked blocks don’t get cleared when using the clear board option (or that is a toggable setting to choose to clear locked blocks or not)

I know that adds a tiny amount of complexity to an elegantly simple game but I would love to have those features.

Thanks for making such an awesome game!

### 5/5 — Dangit, Steve!

*2024-12-14, version 1.0*

I didn’t need a new reason to be on my phone, but Steve had other plans. It’s a great brain-break in my day. I like that I can choose a 5x5 board if I need a confidence boost or go up to a 12x12 if I want to throw my phone across the room.
