### 4/5 — It does still work if you delete and reload app😀

*2016-06-18*

I also have loved this app for years and was planning on using it in a presentation for my school about apps ever teacher should have. I was disappointed as well when the app didn't seem to be working after the update, but I deleted and reloaded it as another reviewer suggested and it works great.
This app is awesome especially when you need a quick assessment. I do wish I could plug in the activity name I was using Stick Pick for each time so I could add that to the data to save.

## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — Cannot Link to Dropbox

*2018-02-20*

The connection to Dropbox cannot be created because the Stick Pick app is frozen for further review and Dropbox will not accept additional users. This makes the app useless for me as Dropbox is the only way to import a class list.

### 1/5 — Can't add classes or students

*2016-08-01*

Since you can't add classes, it makes the app useless. I've used it for 2 years and now it's so incredibly broken, I implore anyone not to purchase it. IT DOES NOT WORK.

### 1/5 — Was such a good app!

*2016-05-23*

Man I've used this app for years but now it kicks me out of the app whenever I try to use it. I sure do hope they fix it soon then I'll gladly change my review.

### 1/5 — Can't add students :(

*2016-05-04*

Please fix the error that we can't add any new students or classes. It makes the app obsolete and we paid money for what should be a good product.

### 1/5 — Used to be brilliant, but...

*2016-05-03*

It doesn't save classes or allow you add students. Without those two things, it's useless. That's too bad because it was great once.

### 2/5 — Used to be good

*2018-11-02*

I’ve been using this in my classroom for 3 years. Just recently, it’s stopped working properly. When I try to restart my class, the app crashes. Huge bummer!

### 3/5 — Please add a feature

*2020-01-07*

I am a music teacher which means I have many, many classes. I like that I can make many “stick buckets” but need to be able to move a student’s stick from one class to another as they are moved around. When I choose to edit a student’s stick I would love to see a class name button to scroll through and easily change. Right now I would only be able to delete and recreate a student from one class to another which means I would lose all their data.

### 3/5 — Here’s a suggestion-

*2018-07-14*

I’ve enjoyed using this in my classroom. I wish that I could mark a student “absent” and have them stop popping up for that day.

### 3/5 — Help!

*2016-10-16*

I have used this app for years. I updated my phone to iOS 10 and now can't save a class name or save a student name when entered one at a time.

### 4/5 — Stick pick

*2017-06-08*

This app helps me pick just way easier without causing drama in my classroom. My kids love it and so do I. I love that you can reset the stick and mark the stick. Without stick pick I don't know what I would do.

### 5/5 — Okay, I made it…so I might be biased

*2026-08-10*

I’m the teacher and developer behind Stick Pick. I originally created it years ago because I wanted a better way to call on students and ask questions at the right level. After the original app disappeared, I decided to bring it back — but instead of simply rebuilding it, I reimagined what it could be after many more years in the classroom.
Stick Pick 2.0 has been rebuilt from the ground up with better questioning, formative assessment, differentiation, small groups, attendance, and tools that help teachers notice student progress while they’re actually teaching.
I’ve spent a ridiculous number of hours sweating the little details because this is an app I genuinely want to use in my own classroom.
So yes, the developer is giving his own app five stars. 😂 But I hope other teachers will give it a try and decide for themselves.

### 5/5 — Great app and great support

*2016-10-13*

My app was doing the same thing as other people's...not loading classes, etc. I emailed Buzz for help before I read the reviews. (If I would have read here first I could have just uninstalled and reinstalled it without having to ask for help.) But he got back to me very quickly and told me know what I needed to do. It was a super easy fix. I've used this app for at least two years and this was the first time I have ever had trouble with it. I love the app because it makes my job easier...and who doesn't want that?! :)

### 5/5 — Awesome App

*2016-09-06*

I have been using this app for several years, and I have only positive things to say about it! It is user friendly, and my fourth grade students love it. We use it in the classroom daily. When I had a question about the app, I emailed Buzz and had a response from him within the same day. Great app- highly recommend it!

### 5/5 — It works!

*2016-09-02*

Works perfectly if you delete the app & reinstall. I've used this app for over 3 years. It's great. I like the added feature of the question starters.

### 5/5 — Love this app!

*2016-09-02*

I have used this app for the past 4years. I love it and my students love it! When I couldn't add my current classes due to the latest update, I emailed the issue and got a response the next day with how to fix it. Great customer service and fun app for students. I am not sure if there is a way to do this or not, but getting an email to current purchasers about deleting the app may have prevent some negative reviews.

### 5/5 — Stick Pick

*2016-08-21*

I love Stick Pick for my classroom and Buzz! So helpful and quick to respond. Recently the app was not working at the start of this new school year due to a glitch COMPLETELY out of the control of Stick Pick. Frustrating but easily fixed! Buzz told me to delete and reinstall and now it works perfectly! TOTALLY not the fault of anyone at Stick Pick. Give the app a try and Buzz, the opportunity to help. Wish all app companies were so willing to help with quick advice.

### 5/5 — Just delete and re-download!

*2016-08-14*

I have used Stick Pick the last 3 years in my grade 1 class. I have also shared it with many colleagues. When I went to add this year's students and kept having problems, I freaked but remembered that I could email the developer. Buzz got back to me right away and told me because of an issue with Dropbox, all I needed to do was delete the app and re-download it. Problem solved, and I am back tons using this fabulous app. Don't listen to the naysayers. I use this app everyday!!

### 5/5 — Easy and kids love it

*2016-08-09*

My second graders love when i use this app!

### 5/5 — It still works great (please read)

*2016-06-05*

In response to Apple Pirate, B4LE, and LeSass: I promise it's still awesome -- you just need to delete the previous version of the app, and then reinstall it. You will find the app actually works better than before because now, you can sync across all your iOS devices using your Facebook or Google log in.

### 5/5 — Fantastic, Useful App!

*2015-01-09*

I rarely spend money on apps, but this app was well worth the price! It has been incredibly useful in my kindergarten classroom!

I created my class and assigned each student to a lower Level of Bloom's. I can then allow the iPad to choose a student to answer my question, it gives me question stems, and I can record an assessment! I can later check each child's status to see who is bake to answer questions, who can answer them sometimes, and who never answers them correctly.

It was useful for me to create multiple classes so that I could keep track of data. I have a section to keep track of students who can speak in complete sentences, students who can identify characters, students who can identify setting, students who can count to 20, students who can segment sounds or blend words or recall details...the list goes on! Rather than creating checklists or trying to keep up with a dozen sticky notes for each child, this app keeps data for me!

I even set up a "class" with only 6 "students," so that I could include all 6 levels of a Blooms. I use that class primarily for the question stems when I want to really start a discussion with my kinders. It is very useful when holding a Socratic seminar! (I use the lower levels of Blooms for most other sections as I only need higher level stems for certain activities in a Kindergarten classroom.)

For those who saw my review and thought TL:DR, the bottom line is this:
If you are a teacher and you need a way to track data and call students randomly, buy this app!
