Extremely convenient to be able to login from any device and have your passwords. Having it sync constantly is another bonus so your passwords are easily available to you at all times. Being able to synchronize my passwords across devices without the use of a cloud or always being online is very convenient. A major factor was also conversion from my previous vault. It has exceeded all my expectations, a few quirks on that migration, but nothing I can recall. Sync via wifi let’s me use Sticky without my data anywhere but my devices, but their cloud backup/sync is really nice to have and I’ve used it more than I would have guessed. New hardware? No problem. I must add that their support is great. They always respond quickly and solve whatever issue I have. Oh - and a shout out to engineering - I’ve ever had to report a bug. In researching products, I looked at the usual suspects. Conversion, platform support and sync up were my big requirements. They met all and passed the trial I ran with flying colors. This has happened since the last update. It’s crazy to have to keep deleting and reinstalling a program to use it. Then also have to keep re adding my phone to my Sticky account. How does your password app not have a password generator… ### 1/5 — Devious installation of Rosetta *2023-07-09* Until I wanted to try this app, I had a pristine new Mac mini with nothing on it but universal apps and no app that required Rosetta. This what I wanted to maintain, but thanks to Sticky Password installing Rosetta (and not informing me) or not ever calling it "Rosetta" during the install process, I have Rosetta on my Mac and apparently, it can't be installed. Most developers who require Rosetta to be installed because they're still using an Intell app at least warn you before installing it. Yes, I know it really doesn't hurt anything, but I didn't want it on my Mac and this developer should have been honest enough to state that it was being installed during the install process. Instead, it's called something else with accompanying words that make you believe you must click a button to continue. ### 1/5 — Generate ? Impossible *2023-01-29, version 8.5.2* I have been using this program for years but every time I need to add a new password it is a struggle. Impossible to begin with a link to a new password but just try to access the ‘Generate’ feature while in the process of forming a weblink. ### 1/5 — Do not subscribe *2022-10-20* I am sharing with you that this app and company are fraudulent. I purchased the “premium lifetime” subscription and there is absolutely zero support. Sticky quit working two months ago and I cannot obtain support. I submit and get the perfunctory thank you email and then nothing more. I logged into website to seek help, again and now the complaint/help page indicates my email is not associated with a premium subscription? I went back and found my welcome email sent to my email address of record and forwarded my written complaint that way. Customers should not have to jump through these kind of hoops to obtain support they pay for upfront. I cannot recommend this app/company and I strongly urge anyone considering this app/company to look elsewhere. Do not give your hard earned dollars to this flaky crooked company. Hard to use ### 1/5 — Wouldn’t Recommend *2021-10-31, version 8.3.4* I loved it for the first couple weeks but all of a sudden, I was required to type in my master password after I had Face ID setup and had been using that with absolutely no problem- no big deal, I had it saved in my notes. It wouldn’t work. Prior to downloading this app, I had ALL my passwords saved in my notes app (around 60 or so) and when I found stickypass, I deleted them. I can’t get into the app and I’m beyond upset. I went online and there isn’t anything they can do. I love this product for the fact it is one of VERY FEW managers that is self hosted and can be used completely offline for max security. It does lack some abilities like 2FA but I use a separate device for those anyway.
