### 1/5 — Defunct

*2025-07-12*

Im not sure why the app is still in the store. It hasn’t worked for quite some time. I need to delete it.

### 1/5 — No content beyond the homepage

### 1/5 — App

### 1/5 — Useless app

*2025-07-03, version 4.0*

One menu page that go nowhere! Need a negative star!

### 1/5 — No content is loaded after install

*2025-06-13*

Just ridiculous that such a reputable company with a superior product cannot invest in the development of a functional app. This is the kind of thing that disconnects a customer base. I have several STIHL products and understand and appreciate the streamlined, anti-big box distribution model. However, if you want to keep and grow your US customer base, you need an app that’s commensurate with your product offering. To say your app underperforms is a massive understatement. It’s literally non existent. My advice would be to pull it out of the app stores completely until you figure it out.

### 1/5 — app is useless

*2025-05-28, version 4.0*

it is just blank

### 1/5 — Non functioning app

*2025-05-25, version 4.0*

Dear Stihl, Please de-list your app from the store if you are no longer supporting it. Completely non-functioning.

### 1/5 — App does not work

*2025-05-25, version 4.0*

This app does not work at all on iOS 18.5 on an iPhone 16 Pro. Fix it please.

### 1/5 — Used in the past.

*2025-05-23, version 4.0*

Seems to be defunct now.

### 1/5 — Non-functional

*2025-04-02*

There is no reason to waste time loading this app. They should have asked a couple of average 9th grade STEM students to put something together. Nothing would be better than this.

Too bad. Stihl products are top notch. I own three small engine units and all are bulletproof workhorses.

### 1/5 — Used to be a good app but now it’s just a plain useless junk app!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

*2025-03-05, version 4.0*

To fix blank screens?

### 1/5 — Can’t open

*2025-02-25, version 4.0*

For some reason I can’t open up stihls products page.Is that just me?

### 1/5 — A beautiful white screen

*2025-02-21*

Last updated 5 years ago. The app downloads great!!! The menu screen is a good menu screen but it does not compare to the gorgeous white screen after you tap on any of the menu buttons. DO NOT download

### 1/5 — App provides nothing

*2025-02-16*

The app only has a Home Screen when you go to look at products or manuals nothing is populated to look at. Horrible app!!!!!!!

### 1/5 — Any Updates for iOS 18.2?

*2024-12-22*

To fix blank screens?

### 1/5 — Disappointed in app

*2024-12-03*

Everything Stihl that I’ve ever gotten has worked for me as it should. Except this app. I was really looking forward to have info for all my Stihl equipment in one easy to access place, literally in the palm of my hand. But this app absolutely does not work at all. It only loads the homepage

### 1/5 — Wow do not bother wasting bandwidth until updated..

*2024-10-23*

Just dropped over 2k on your new pro battery chainsaw. Powerful, thoughtful tech, you guys obviously invested well in building up this line. Expectations shattered by this, the app does not even load content in any of the pages on my iPhone 15 Pro Max. Invest in your technology stack. This travesty of an app has honestly given me second thoughts about investing my hard earned money in your platform if this is any indication of how well you will manage this world-wide change in the industry. You have earned a hard to wrangle following, do not fail them and choose to follow when you most certainly can lead. Tunnel vision on hardware alone certainly will not get you there, especially if you leave the half-baked, unfed, and dying or dead apps like this to smell up the App store and ruin first impressions. It is beneath your pedigree.

### 1/5 — App does nothing at all

*2024-10-09*

None of the buttons work. App just loads to a main screen. If you push on any of the buttons, the screen just goes blank. they’re still selling gear that comes with barcodes to scan in the app though.

### 1/5 — Any Updates?

*2024-09-24*

To fix blank screens.

## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — Seemingly no content in app beyond home screen

*2026-01-19*

I have an iPhone 16e running iOS 26.2. No problem downloading or opening app, but there appears to be no content beyond the home screen. Tapping on each menu item took me to a blank page, save for two orange-colored bars, a back icon at bottom left, & a home screen icon at the bottom right. Back icon didn’t even work.
I’m excited to have just purchased a MS 170c chainsaw. A lousy website doesn’t ruin that, but I expected more from a large company known for producing some of the best chainsaws in the world. Stihl, push your developers to give us an app worthy of your brand.

### 1/5 — C'mon Guys, its useless 🤦🏼‍♂️

*2025-11-13*

I have several products and expected to log into my account, see my registered products, their warranties, manuals, etc.

But theres nothing other than a front page with dead links!

Considering the $$$$ I have invested in your excellent equipment, you need to step up. I alone have spent enough to have covered the cost of an app developer to fix this disgrace of technology.

You need to do better!

Pull this sad excuse for an app immediately and fix it. Its only hurting your company by disappointing your tech savvy customer base!

### 1/5 — There’s Nothing There

*2025-11-07*

The app doesn’t contain any content. When you go to “Products,” it’s just blank. Stihl may make good equipment, but they apparently stink at app development.

### 1/5 — Inoperative

*2025-11-04*

This app does not work with newer operating systems. Hopefully it will be fixed soon as it would be a great resource tool for Stihl customers.

### 1/5 — The others are right - worthless

*2025-08-19*

A lot of other reviewers have noted this app doesn’t work past the main page, that is my experience as well. It looks like this has been the case for a very long time - come on Stihl, get your digital act together.

### 1/5 — Non-functional

*2025-08-18*

I am using iPhone, 12 max pro, iOs 18.6.1. The app opens to the main menu, but none of the buttons load, just displays a blank screen when clicking any of the icons. Hashtag sadface 🤣

### 1/5 — Not functional

*2025-08-09, version 4.0*

The app components are non-functional at all levels.

### 1/5 — App does not work

*2025-07-24, version 4.0*

The app does not work.

### 1/5 — Total Junk

*2025-07-23*

None of The Pages Open,Everything is Blank ,Come On Stihl Get This Fixed,Contacted Them Numerous Times ,They Say They’ll Get Back To Me But never Do ,Do Not Bother Downloading ,Waste Of time

### 1/5 — Terrible app for a reputable company

*2025-07-16, version 4.0*

Cruiser 407 said it perfectly. Get this waste of time app out of the App Store and fire the high school kid you hired to develop it.

## Most praised reviews (6 highest-rated)

### 5/5 — Love STIHL - had to get the app

*2015-08-13, version 20150710*

Simple app to access important information about my tools

### 3/5 — Good

*2025-11-13*

The products button doesn’t load up anything

### 3/5 — Could be better!

*2023-04-01*

I think you need to get some good help to update this app as it has not been updated in three years! Boxes pop up on the side of the window blocking what is below and you can’t get rid of it. Make a version for an iPad that has a larger screen! It has potential to be something great.

### 3/5 — Jumpy and no sign in

*2018-06-05, version 3*

This app is very nice but needs a few things to make it great. It keeps jumping to the top of the screen and also it doesn’t a sign in so you can see your account

### 3/5 — Not incredibly useful

*2015-09-20, version 20150710*

So Stihl has a great idea for an app, but it hasn't been fleshed out with all of the information that might be needed by a customer. It would be incredibly useful if information on common Parts was available, or fitment and part numbers.
For example, it would be useful if in the chainsaw bars section it showed which bars fit which saws, or a model number if I wanted to call my dealer and ask if something was in stock. Or some type of guided process for choosing parts. I would like to be able to enter that I have an 026 saw and see a list of available parts for it and maybe troubleshooting information or manual. Or a selector tool for choosing the right blade for certain conditions.
As it is, this app is nothing but a mobile version of the website.

### 2/5 — Tiny Manuals

*2019-12-15*

Nice to have the manual to my chainsaw handy but unfortunately you cannot enlarge the text so impossible to read without a magnifying glass. Seems like a basic website ability that should have been added by the site creators. Other than manuals, I have no other need for the app. Shame.
