I used to use SnapStill, but it stopped working for me, and ever since then I’ve been looking for a replacement. Finally decided to buy this hoping for the best, and I’m so glad I did. Mine takes 12 seconds. Please use the system picker. Another waste of money for poor apple apps. **Developer response:** Hi Bmcd11, I am sorry to hear that you are having some issues finding System Pictures folder on your Mac. Just wanted to share some helpful info with you 🙂. The Pictures folder is System folder & you can see it on the left sidebar of Finder. The Photos are saved in Stills folder inside Pictures folder. A frame skip/frame ratio would be stellar. But it is a good, simple app that does what it says it does. It means a lot to me. I am glad I was able to fix it & make you happy. Regarding SytemPicker, I really understand your use case & you are absolutely correct. I will try to add it to Stills in future. But It's not added yet, because Stills need to import the whole video with all asset info in the app from Photo Library & If I use System Picker, with importing photos can be fine in some case (importing without any asset info). But for video the Stills app can't have that info & If Photo Library Permission are not given then other issues as well with. So To keep things simple & easy it's not added & the possibility of Stills getting all the video & related info gets affected with SystemPicker. But I will try to look into it again & see what are the possibilities & if any user still wishes to use System Picker, then have it in Settings & display message about few limitation also, so user is aware about it. I'm committed to improving Stills App with bug fixes & new & helpful features with each update. Without your feedback, I would not have noticed this issue Video Picker was having with Large Photo Library. After reading your review on 06 August, I had started work on improving the Import using Video Picker & make it super fast. I have submitted the update (Stills 25.2) to Apple & is waiting for review. You should be able to use the app smoothly & use video picker without having the need to wait even for a second. And Yes the app will continue to be updated with fixes & improvements & is always going to be maintained, so that the users keep on having great experience using Stills App on the Apple App Store.
